They reopened today, April 9, after doing some renovations. I went to the Rancho Cucamonga that opened today too and i was really pleased with how it turned out. You should def check it out now that it’s reopened

If you are pinoy pan-de-sal enthusiast, don’t be fooled by this full of crap(i.e. ZAMBALES Pandesal, by Julie’s Dessert and Bakery Inc.). It will just cost you for nothing. You may want to try and see what i’m talking about, or, better not be ’cause it’s just a total waste of money. Trust me.

Island Paaaaa-ciiiiiiiiiiifiiic, shopping araw — araw(everyday in Tagalog) A quaint, ethnic supermarket catering to all your Filipino needs, Island Pacific is conveniently located across from Los Cerritos Center, next to Leelin Bakery & Café. Weekly specials advertised in the Filipino newspapers keeps customers coming back again & again in preparation for dinner or the next big gathering. Being the check-in Duke, I frequently come by, usually on Wednesdays & Saturdays for the latest editions of Filipino newspapers, and to browse the fish, seafood & meat selection. Whether it be fried tilapia, pompano, head/on shrimp or pork belly, many a meal has been made courtesy of Island Pacific. The butchers are quick with the complimentary cleaning, cutting & frying. The produce section is rather limited compared to bigger supermarkets, of which I usually purchase sweet potatoes when they’re on sale or the clearance bananas(Hey, just cut out the bruised parts. It’s only a $ 1/bunch!). The middle aisles have various Filipino packaged goods, such as soup mixes, canned goods, noodles, jars of halo halo mixes etc. Pricing on those can be reasonable to more expensive than other markets, depending upon the item. Various kakanin & merienda bites are available to purchase, including pan de sal, biscotti, puto & bibingka galapong. Service has been good every time I’ve shopped here. The lines at the register move along quickly enough. Parking is in a private lot shared by Leelin Bakery & Café & Hometown Buffet. Weekend’s are especially busy, making parking harder to find. Presyong Sulit! Island Pacific Supermarket serves up the Filipino community & those that enjoy the cuisine. Located close by, with the meat, seafood & produce I enjoy eating, there’s no doubt I’ll be back for more salty, oily, sugary, fatty goodness that is Filipino food. Highly recommend!

This is unsanitary. Bought bagoong this morning and when I got home there was mold all over inside the bottle. This place already has a B rating. Wait till I report them to the health department!

Management Only reason why I put 1 star is because I can’t put zero. Whoever the light skin girl(not lady, since she was very unprofessional) at the register with glasses is, please teach her proper customer service. I watched my mother walk up to the register(p.s. the cashier was on her phone), do the whole transaction without asking my mother how she was doing, or if she found everything okay. Or even a nice«Hi». Nothing. She did not acknowledge her once. Watched her throw our groceries into our bags like she hates her job. And as she was done ringing her up. I watched her get change for my mom. Before she closed the register my mom simply said. «I got change for you»(since she wanted a full dollar). As I mentioned, I was observing the whole transaction. the cashier simply ignored my mother’s request and closed the register on her and gave her the change anyway. The cashier did not say sorry or apologize for closing the register too soon(even though she had it open and ignored her). Nothing. Lastly, she did not say bye. Thank you. Or have a good day. Which ofcourse, isn’t a surprise. Maybe she should be in the warehouse where she can work quitely and peacefully as she pleases without having to deal with customers. Cashiers are the first and last thing a customer sees when they walk in. If you want to have a good business. Train your employees correctly. And by the way if you need me to translate this in Tagalog, I’ll be more than happy to. P. s. I work customer service, so I know what’s proper service or not. This was by far the worst

Worst customer service! They always lock their doors 15 minutes before they close. We’ll be knocking on the doors and the guys at the register are smiling hoping we’ll just walk away. And my mom always sends me to get phone cards, and the man at the desk is always so snotty. Maybe that’s why they have a B letter grade in front of their store because their bad attitudes contaminate the cleanliness of the store.

This is strictly for this location. I must mention I love the one in West Covina but hey, this one is less than .25 from my in-laws you cannot beat the convenience. If you are looking for a «cage-free» or «organic» stuff maybe you need to move along. Wait, let me alter that. Maybe you shouldn’t buy the meat from here. If your Filipino-American & really«Americanized» then you might get excited about finding cool childhood gifts you used to get from your family in the Philippines. From patis(fish sauce) to chippy chips to all things Filipino for produce, you can mostly find the most popular items at this location. I have to say the fish selection is a hit or miss— I don’t buy farm raised & am seriously bothered with the Tilapia staring at me filled with hormones. But, they get some nice wild caught sole fish & sea bass. They fry fish for free BTW& Full service butcher. Clean as a fish market can get. I give it a 3 because I would like more variety and better pricing, but hey it’s not food for less so I can’t expect too much.

Small sized filipino market, nothing compared to Seafood City but of your in a crunch for the typical spy sauce, patis, rice or need a quick fish dinner your in luck. They fry your fish while you shop, 10 minutes later boom you have dinner. Just go home and cook rice…4 stars for convenience !!

Ako’y isang Pinoy sa puso’t diwa Pinoy na isinilang sa ating bansa Ako’y hindi sanay sa wikang mga banyaga Ako’y Pinoy na mayroong sariling wika If you don’t mind the smell of fish slapping you in the face the moment you step in, then by all means go. This place has all the chips, canned food, fish, veggies and fruits I ate growing up. Always a good place to visit whenever I feel like reeking of garlic(hello, Boy Bawang) or if I miss me some sardines in oil or Lucky Me! Pancit Canton. Uhh. I’m hungry! They even have a small stand in the corner where you can buy pork lechon on the weekends but then … Every lechon I’ve tried here in the US tasted funky. So, if you wanna give it a try, be my guest. Parking can get packed especially during the weekends but only because they share the lot with all the other restaurants in the area. You’ll always find more parking towards the East side of the lot, near Target. If you don’t mind walking, that is. This place is kinda pricier than most asian markets. Small price to pay to get a piece of home every now and then.

Need something to grill or cook, then this is the place to go. Great pre-marinated pork, beef and chicken. They also have a huge selection of fresh fish that they will clean for you. Parking can be a problem when the center is busy. Don’t look for mainstream name brands on everyday products unless you are looking more of an asian flare.

This store was unkept and had unpleasant odor. At the door it had B rating, I wouldnt recommend buying homemade food there, just turn around and get it somewhere else.

This place is dirty. The fish laid out was broken and not fresh. When we went they mislabeled the price on the salty eggs, bbq frozen pork and would not give us the price marked on the product… Very pricey would not go again.. . Go to Ranch 99 market down the street instead.

Standard Filipino market with all the obvious products in stock. I’m always picking up my favorite — cheese flavored Clover Chips — at this spot. As others have noted, it’s crazy busy at this location, and there’s not a whole lot of parking to go around. Fortunately there are always people coming and going, so you won’t have to wait long. A word of advice if you’re taking your non-Filipino friends — the place smells overwhelmingly of seafood! For all the Filipinos that’s no big thing, but for the white folks … you know how it goes.

A clean, small(and I emphasize small) market with mostly ethnic goods. If you are looking for your basic Filipino imports, this is the place to go. Added bonus, they are right next door to the Goldilock’s Bakery and Restaurant. We got some beautiful fresh fish, pork steaks, some produce, and a couple of things from their deli. From the deli: The empanadas were a very dense, sweet pastry, but actually delicious. The chicken filling, very nice. The lumpia had way too much wrapper and were a big disappointment. This is a very attractive store in a nice area. Finding parking is difficult during peak hours because of its proximity to several other businesses that support high volume.

Hey this place was not bad at all! We need one in the Soutbay! It was clean, they had some lechon chopped up in to-go containers and there were like 3 check stands open with 1 person in line. SCORE! Pearl River Bridge soy sauce was super expensive at Albertsons, so I put it back and used my little kikkoman sushi packets I had stored up in a drawer! Then, I saw this place next to Goldilocks and knew they’d have my soy sauce. Got myself a large bottle to last me a while. Easy shopping. No lines. Cheap! Clean! Not ghetto like 99 Ranch.

I typically don’t shop in here, but the few times I have been in here I’ve been satisfied. This place always feels clean and well-maintained. items are pretty simple to find so the layout of the store is nice. They don’t offer as much as say Seafood City, but for many basic filipino snacks and foods, I’m sure you’ll find em here.

I’m searching for Oishi Martys Baconette Strips. This supermarket doesn’t carry it and I found out the hard way. I asked a stock person and he told me to check the chip aisle. I said I already did, and I didn’t see but was wondering if they carried it at all. He told me to go ask someone else. At least when I asked the cashier she was able to tell me that they only carried the Marty’s Cracklins. Pathetic. Why? They don’t even have a label for it on their shelves. I found ONE loner bag of Marty’s Cracklins stuffed behind some other brand of chips. How the fuck was I supposed to know if they even carried Oishi Marty’s??? GEEZUS. There wasn’t any labels on the shelves for that brand ATALL.

I’m a racist. There, i said it. It’s because I’m confused why all asian markets seem to carry a large selection of Japanese products. Take this place, it’s a(primarily) Filipino market. And yet they have Japanese foods. Ok, so they have a lot of chinese stuff too. And I did see something that looked Korean. And I will have to say that the fruits and vegetables are primarily geared towards the filipino palate. OK, so this place is rather well stocked. With Filipino goods. I’ll shut up now. Oh, and they’ll clean your fish for you while you wait. If you’re in a hurry and you need to get to a Filipino BBQ that you’re throwing, make sure you get here EARLIER than at the BBQ start time.
