I’ve been eating here ever since but this is my first time to write a review about them, cause I can’t take it anymore… The food is great, but that specific employee is really RUDE!!! I just want to tell her«KUNG AYaW MOMAGTRABAHOUMUWIKANALANGSABAHAYNIYOATMATULOGKESASIRAINMOARAWNATINPAREPREHODHLSAPAGSIMANGOTMOATPAGTATARAYMO» the lady I am talking about is the one who’s always in the front and the one that have glasses!!!

TLDR; We told them they forgot an item. The cashier who took the order and was right there witnessing us argue with other employees did not help us by telling the cook, instead carried on a personal phone conversation. They thought we were lying, stalled and made us prove missing order by showing receipt. They«forgot» an item we ordered. Fine, mistakes happen. When everyone else got their food mine was missing but I gave them some time. About 10 minutes later we asked about the order. The woman who took the order(I had to keep repeating it to her because she wouldn’t accept me saying palabok instead of pancit malabon even though it’s interchangeable as all Filipinos know) stood by carrying on a personal phone conversation instead of helping clear up the confusion. We are Filipino and they kept treating us like we didn’t know what we ordered, repeatedly asking us to confirm. They weren’t going to give us the item until we showed them the receipt which is appalling as they assumed we were lying. She could have saved us the extra 20 minutes(not to mention no one else would eat until my food came, the other food was sitting for at least 30 minutes and my family was starving) had she just said something. Another reviewer stated it’s like they go out of their way to be rude and, sadly, I have to agree.

Came back for Lechon Kawali(fried pork nuggets — almost like boneless pata) and Lumpia Shanghai(tasty tightly rolled fried rolls). GOODSTUFF

Great local spot to get some quick filipino food. Recommendations: Crispy Pata — Fried pork knuckle — very juicy and crispy at the same time. Pork Tocina — It’s similar to Chinese BBQ Pork — sweet and savory pork Everything looks pretty good overall.

One of the best Filipino food in Cerritos. They only need to fix the door that makes noise and the place needs to have a restroom.

Rude, took them 3 minutes to acknowledge me and 3 ladies were talking and texting then one guy turned around when he saw me in the line. San Diego brunch is way better than this place.

Very unfriendly cashier and worst Filipino food in town. I ordered Pancit Malabon and pork and chicken BBQ skewers to go. At home I opened the BBQ container in horror-disgustingly burnt carcinogenic meat! I drove back to the restaurant only to see the emotionless reaction of the cashier who took the meat back to the kitchen without saying anything. She came back out saying it was normal that they cooked like that. No point to argue so I just asked for reimbursement and left. This place needs a serious customer service training. I want to write only positive reviews!

Today will be my last visit to this establishment. Customer service has significantly dropped over the years. Cashiers seem to go out of their way to be rude, at first I thought it was just a bad day and returned not once, not twice but 5 separate times and I still received the same attitude from different employees. Today’s encounter was the last straw. I hope that they change because I like the food.

Rude people here. Just plain rude. I’ve come to this place many many times. Even on the phone they would just hang up on you even if you’re still talking. If you can deal with people with attitude I guess it’s okay, that’s me including. But come on people, you work to serve people I mean I do too. I’ve had patients or family screaming at me but I still put up a smile and acknowledge them. I’m not asking you to console me or anything but just be courteous to your customers. Food are good though.

I specifically asked if the chicken was white or dark meat and offered to pay any upcharge for white. Girl at counter asked the kitchen amd came back saying it was all white. Guess what?

RUUUUUDE!!! I go here all the time coz I like the food but bitch told me to hurry up coz they close at 7:30… Uhm yeah that means you take customers up to that time. In all honesty, they’re always rude af here but this is the tipping point. Cerritos has enough good Filipino food. No need to waste your time here.

Unilocal Challenge 201640⁄116 Tiny cooked to order Filipino joint at Carmeminta and South street. Order at the counter, pay and wait about 10 minutes. Nothing fancy here, other than the name. Just a few boths and tables, a condiment cart and a self serve water dish. Zero bathroom for customers or a place to wash hands. So bring your own hand sanditizer and hold your bladder tight. Food here was just okay. I wish they had more of a selection. Maybe even a few type of snack type treats. Beef Stek was served in a small steroform cup, next a plate with 2 scoops of rice. My food was not as hot as I like it. The beefstek was typical, served in a light sauce with some onions. It was paired with a cup of flavorful soup of some kind. Crispy chicken was nice and hot. Served right out of the fryer next to a plate of rice. My other half said it was good. Service is just okay. They take your order and call your name that is pretty much it. I waited at the counter for a few minutes before I was aknowledged just to get a to go box. Dinner for 2 was about $ 13.00. #853

FYI: This place is not«turo turo» where you see the food behind the glass and pick out what you want. It’s basically pictures and a menu and you order what you want. They have a combinations plate daily menu off to the side that lets you know what they have aside to what they have on the menu. Came here with Nanay(my grandma) and we ordered pork BBQ stick($ 1.80 per stick) and an ala carte kaldereta($ 8.25 for a medium size 24oz) From what we ordered the food is pretty good. Standard BBQ and they weren’t skimpy on the meat. However, all of them were on the fatty side. Will have to come back to try other items.

My uncle took me to this little Filipino place. It’s a fast food joint with little sitting area(prob less than 30 ppl). The place is clean and the service is fast and very attentive. Tried their most popular food, bibingka, which is the sticky rice cake with fresh coconut. It’s delicious and very fresh. The price is $ 3.50(cheap) and the portion is enough for two ppl. I will come back to get more of this. Uncle ordered chicken skewer, and I didn’t like it. It is so hard to chew. The meat portion is small too, and it’s sad to see that it’s 2 rice: 1 meat. What am I gonna eat the rest of the rice with? –_– Also tried pork tacino and egg. Yummmyyyyy! But the meat portion is little again with two big scoops of rice :/wish they can be generous with meat, like how they are too generous with the rice. Pancit is a type of Filipino noodles, very delicious and decent price! Love it! Overall, I’m not impressed with this little joint. There are plenty of Filipino restaurants around the area, which are way better than this. I will only come back for bibingka. Tip for first timers– don’t get skewers(so hard to chew) and also don’t expect to get a lot of meat. GOTTATRYTHEBIBINGKA!

Love their food. I just wish it was a little bit less stuffy feeling inside and get rid of that tv. Food always tastes fresh and flavorful. Staff — they’re not friendly but not rude. They just don’t engage with their customers. Again, food here is great. Fresh and very delicious. I always come in here with my white parter who love Filipino food. It’s his favorite because he says food looks clean.

One of my favorite filipino spots for two things… the bibingka(sticky rice cake) and sisig(chopped pigs cheek)! I always order the bibingka in an order of four… because it is that good! Every other bibingka I’ve had elsewhere was either alright or mediocre. The bibingka comes with fresh grated coconut and it’s a great treat for merienda. The sisig is one of my favorites because I believe it’s the best sisig I’ve ever had from any filipino restaurant! That being said, these are probably the items that stand out the most. The facility itself is very small! I believe maximum occupancy is under 50. Usually it would be best to order for pickup or togo because they don’t even have a restroom… in that case, that is why I’m rating this place as 4 stars.

This place is one place that I hope will never close. As goldilocks & jeepney grill close due to the booming Thai & Vietnamese dining spots pop out in every corner, Filipino restaurants are NOT able to keep up with the competition. Taste: dishes here ROCK in taste!!! Authentic Filipino taste No doubt beats the«cater to Americans taste of Gerrys grill Ambience: This is a turo2 type eatery so DON’T expect more NEEDTOINSTALL A WASHROOM/that loyal customers can use Instead of having to walk to the bowling alley to use their washroom. I AMTRULYSURPRISEDTHATTHEYWERE approved by the strict Cerritos restaurant business code without a restroom for their customers. Customer service: TYPICALFILIPINO traits from the staff. Don’t need to expect more, it is what it is. So, in gist, I would have to deduct one point for lack of a basic restroom &‘one point. For lack of AC air in the dining area during summer.

Finally ate the food we ordered. Definitely nothing special. BBQ chicken was overcooked, dry and hard. I almost had to ask for pliers lol. The«goto» too watered down. The malabon, on the bland side and noodles too al dente(as in undercooked). The«puto bungbong» kinda nasty. Still have to try the bibingka later. Deserving of the one star for opening on time. Unfortunately, it starts and ends there for me. I’ll stick to my go to Filipino«turoturo» here in OC.

Wifey was craving Bibingka. I asked if she had ever been to a Manila Sunset location because they make delicious ones. She said that she had never been. So I searched on Unilocal.Lo and behold, there was a branch less than 3 miles from our current location! They are located in a strip mall on the corner of South St. and Carmenita. Shop is small. Just order at the counter and grab a seat at one of the several tables available. Bibingka Galapong for $ 3.50 is all we purchased. Good size that was enough for the two of us to share(because I had already eaten lunch). Their Bibingka was as good as I remembered from the last time I visited a Manila Sunset. For those of you who do not know, Bibingka is a rice cake made with eggs, milk, and rice dough. They also add white cheese and serve it with a side of grated coconut. It tastes simply delicious!!! I am so happy to know that this branch is here close by to family! Still cannot believe that the family had never been here before! Will be returning for future visits. Have to try their entrees. Of course, will always save room in my tummy for their Bibingka! By the way, wifey really like their bibingka as well so mission accomplished!

I am a fan here! The service is friendly, lunch special is about $ 6 with 2 items that comes with rice and soup, freshly made each order and has plenty of parking. They also have good baked cake for $ 3.50 with shredded coconuts on the side… yummy!!! Only thing is this place gets packed during lunch time and serves becomes slow so recommended to come here avoiding the lunch time or prepare to stay over an hour for a lunch.
