Fred Astaire Dance Studio

My wife and I chose Fred Astaire Chagrin Dance Studios last summer as the place to learn and rehearse the First Dance we would share on our wedding night. Though my wife is a dancer, I am most certainly not, so we were bound to be a challenge for whomever took us on as students. Fortunately Ryan Schultz was up to the challenge … and judging by the reaction of our wedding guests on our big night, he prepared us absolutely brilliantly! From our very first meeting (when we didn’t even know which song we wanted to use) until our final rehearsal (in full formal attire), Ryan coached and encouraged us magnificantly. He choreographed our entire routine and made us feel comfortable and productive no matter how much preparation we had (or had not) made since our last meeting. He offered the right level of technical guidance as we worked through our routine, and he was consistently able to advise us on how to polish our performance without making us feel insecure about how it stood. He took feedback in stride about tweaks we wanted to make, so that by the end we felt that it was truly our dance. Overall we couldn’t be more pleased with our selection of Fred Astaire Studios — many thanks Ryan for helping us craft the best dance of our lives!

Very nice dance studio. Shari is an amazing instructor. She made my fiancé feel comfortable and more confident dancing. She is excellent at showing, rather than telling, while teaching and is able to dance in both the male and female roles which is extremely helpful when teaching a couple. We definitely recommend her!
