Luxe Nail Spa

Love love love looooooooooove this place… my «Mai Tai» is the reason I come… she’s the only person that does my nails, and I love it.

I have been going to lux nail spa for almost a year now and the last few times have just been completely unsatisfactory. I arrived with my daughter at 1:30pm and signed in. We waited patiently for our names to be called and around 3:45pm we were called.
We went to the pedicure chairs and soaked out feet in cold water for another 30 min. Finally we were serviced and then moved to the manicure chairs. We were serviced right away and I asked if they could do ombré nails and without a blink of an eye I was told yes. They proceeded to finish my set and then a man came over to ombré my nails. He took his time and completed my nails. When I was sitting under the dryer I noticed my nails were not in the least bit inbred or pretty at all. They looked like someone messed up in painting them. When I too the man how unsatisfied I was he then told me that was the way they did nails and that he would paint over them if I wanted. I paid extra money to have my nails done inbred and wasted my money and I had wasted my whole day. IT WAS 6:00 by the time we got home. My daughter picked out 2 bows to put on her ring finger as her summer break treat. 2 hours later the bows fell off. They regulars her bows but still did not fix my «ombré» nails. I understand if no one knows how to do this but just be honest. I would have picked something else.

First time going here and it won’t be my last! Loved the atmosphere and the cleanliness. The technicians really took their time with each and every nail, and listened to how you wanted your nails done. The pricing is fair and definitely worth it.

Clean, thorough and professional staff! Got a gel mani and spa pedi and both came out wonderfully and the price was decent (64 $ total). The leg/​foot massage could have been longer and harder (that’s what she said, right?) but was in general good. Appreciated the quiet atmosphere and that the tech who did my pedi didn’t try to become my BFF. Only thing that irked me was that a different nail tech was told to finish my mani (polish and massage) so I had to figure out how to tip both girls… since my math is bad after such a relaxing experience, this was a slight negative for me. Regardless, I’ll be back here for sure!

So I came back! I LOVE THIS new nail spa in St. Bernard.
It’s clean, people are friendly, and most importantly they are really really good!
I came for the 2^nd time today. this time for a spa pedicure and Gel nails manicure. Like I reviewed in my previous post, they offer OPI Gel Nails which is awesome because you can easily match your pedicure with your manicure. They lady owner excitedly showed me her new additions to the OPI Gel Nails colors.
My polish on my nails and toes are perfect. What a relaxing experience during my off day. Sit back, bring a book, and just enjoy the day! Best of all, you don’t hear them gossiping in Vietnamese (which I know must feel uncomfortable for their non-​Vietnamese speaking clients) AND they accept credit cards. which is an added bonus because some places don’t which I find extremely annoying!
This place is a 5 stars in my book. Too bad they are hidden away all the way in the Parish.
