Gander Mountain

This gander mountain just like all the other is very expensive and over priced. They’re so careless here about presentation: the side of the store that faces the interstate for the last year has had a falling sign that says «75% off» you go in there and nothing is on sale.
The clothes are super pricey and you’ll spend a pretty penny, you’re better off online or somewhere else.

Gander Mountain isn’t a destination like Cabela’s or Bass Pro, but they still offer a lot of merchandise for the serious outdoorsman.
This Gander Mountain location is smaller, but it still has quite a few departments to browse in. Unlike Dick’s in Franklin Center, Gander Mountain has very large hunting, fishing, and camping departments. Their selection of bait is impressive, especially for a largely land locked place like Franklin County. They also have a wide array of ammo. Overall, the store is a bit pricey, but sometimes there are some good deals waiting to be found. I really wish that Gander Mountain wasn’t near the mall. Hopefully they build a larger store closer to town someday.
While not as grand as some of the other outdoors stores, Gander Mountain still has a lot of the products outdoorsmen look for.

Absolutely awful customer service! I had a return which was 2 rather large items. I was alone with my toddler. I’m a somewhat petite female, but the items were manageable within reason. I toted them to the door where an employee was standing and received no assistance with even opening the door — the clerk at the counter stared at me while I struggled inside with the return items and my child. Once I arrived at the counter, she interrupted my transaction to answer the phone. Instead of asking the phone customer to hold, she continued to resolve the phone matter. Next, I was asked to hoist the large item onto the counter at chest height — not an ideal task, but again, I managed. She then asked for the second item, which was the exact same as the first… both still in the package. Again, I struggled to hoist the item onto the counter. After that, I had to wait for a manager to approve the return — I was baffled that the clerk hadn’t summoned the manager sooner. Then we waited for the manager. I only rated it with 2 stars because they do have some quality fishing gear at decent prices — I’d rather deal with a more expensive store than bad service for cheaper costs.
