The Finish Depot

I have a very pleasant experience with Finish Depot. I was searching for a contractor to redo my old kitchen cabinets and got quotes from various places including Home Depot, Lowes and Independent contractors in Fairfax area. I did not want to purchase new cabinets because base of the cabinets were in semi good condition so I wanted to reface or refinish with what I have to work with. First of all I visited them a couple months back in person to see the shop and meet them as well. This is a family owned business, and I was quite impressed and felt welcomed. Melody and her parents do a quite good job walking through the process as well as setting the right expectations so there won’t be any surprises. This was nice because I have never done any sort of cabinet reface in the past. Based on the quotes I received I decided to go with them, most reasonably priced and felt comfortable working with them.
Project started two weeks after, they placed the order on the day I signed the contractor so they cabinet doors would be ready in two weeks. Demo started when they received all the items which is two weeks later and whole process was done in 3 days. They came as early as 830 in the morning and didn’t leave until 6 – 7. There was however a small area where I needed to be touched and as promised they were quick to respond and come out the following week to fix the area. I am happy with the turn out and asked them to do another quote on another side of the living room. Thanks!

We had a very pleasant experience working with Melody and The Finish Depot. For our kitchen remodel we had looked at all options which included installing new cabinets, refacing the existing cabinets and refinishing/​painting our existing cabinets. Based on our budget and tight timeline we decided to go with refinishing/​painting our existing cabinets and chose The Finish Depot to do our kitchen remodeling project. In addition to refinishing the cabinets, we had them build out a new pantry area cabinet with heavy duty wooden pull out drawers/​shelves, install light rail moulding and lay our tile backsplash. Importantly, the project was completed on time and the quality of work was very good. We could not be happier with how our kitchen has turned out and would recommend The Finish Depot to anyone looking to update their kitchen.
