Besides numerous mistakes and big frustrations with their delivery, the biggest issue for me here, whether it be dine in or delivery, is that the sauce and cheese used in the pizzas are just not special or high quality compared to what I am used to. Their ingredients remind me of cheap canned tomato sauce and low grade, low cost cheese. The result for me is a very marginal total lack of flavor in their pizza… That taste is something that I do not want to eat or serve to either friends or family. If you enjoy mediocre and marginal NY style pizza, you may be fine. However, a discerning foodie will likely be quite disappointed. Beverage selections and salads are good. On the other hand, there could be much more proactive cleaning of tables between customers at rush times… Again, I would raise my review if they used higher quality, less cheap, and more inspired sauce and cheese in the pizza… Very disappointed in the minimal effort using the apparent low quality ingredients…

Hands down, the best pizza in town. The owner is a character too. They offer delivery too. Been eating their pizza since they opened and just had pasta for the first time. Perfectly al dente.

3.5 stars is more appropriate for this review, but I think they have 4 stars in them. Pretty good New York style pizza. A little burned around the edges, but this is a first time review so I’ll assume that’s a fluke. Delivery was quick and accurate. One thing I will note is that an extra cheese request was met with what looked like a normal cheese response. I’d hate to see a regular cheese pizza… Let’s just say the mozzarella was sparse. The chicken strips were excellent. No complaints there.

The pizza actually isn’t bad. That’s why they get 2 stars. Sometimes even pretty good BUT it has to be the single most inept pizza place on earth when it comes to delivery. A mistake every time. Shame on me for having given them so many chances to get an order right but each I think«they can’t possibly screw up again». They can and do. Wrong toppings, missing items lost drivers, rude phone interactions are some of the things you can expect from Alfredo’s. Never again.

If you’re looking for a quick slice of pizza, this is the place. They have many toppings to choose from. Unlike other places, these slices don’t sit out for too long because they’re extremely busy throughout the day and pop em out regularly. Easily the best price pizza by the Slice in town, even for the specialty pizzas. The slices are much larger than the other guys and thin making you full, but without that heavy feeling that slows you down. Workers here are great too. Don’t let the bad ratings about how they deliver or what not deter you from trying their pizza. This place should be rated higher.

Called to verify that they would deliver to my address. They said they would. Placed an order. Then ten minutes later they called back to say they were too busy to deliver. Pretty terrible.

Ordered using the Eat app and had it delivered to my hotel room. Food arrived quicker than expected. It was hot and included utensils, condiments and napkins. Food was quite good. Would recommend this place and will be ordering from there again.

I’ve ordered here at least a dozen times now, and the food is pretty good most of the time. It is slightly overpriced in my opinion, but I prefer to order from the«local» businesses, rather than huge chain restaurants. The food itself isn’t the issue… I’ve had 3 incidents now where there was a forgotten item with my order. That would be forgivable if it only happened once in 10+ times ordering, but I do tend to place rather large orders with 5 — 10 items. While this is part of the issue, its not the worst of it. The delivery times have never been consistent. Ever. I have placed an order have had it show up in a reasonable 1 hour time frame about half the time. But the other half, I have called the store after waiting on hour, only to discover that either the restaurant is completely closed(as in: the early afternoon on weekends) or I get quizzed about what I ordered, and then told that it’s on its way, even though its well beyond an hour and 15 minutes. Just before hitting ‘Post Review’, its currently 7:08PM on a Sunday and my delivery time given from EatStreet was 6:23PM from an order I sent at 5:38PM. I get it. Sundays are busy because of football. I get it, large orders sometimes get things like drinks and side salads missed. I understand it completely. I worked as a pizza delivery driver on and off for almost a decade. But I would have been fired had I only had a 80% success rate with getting orders correct, and my delivery times were off the mark by over half an hour, and my managers would have been fired for having a 90 minute delivery time for locations 3.5 miles away without a special event going on.

I wish I can do zero stars. $ 33 went down the drain. Terrible food and horrible service. Don’t waste your money or time dealing with them. I ordered delivery(via GrubHub). When the food didn’t come I called the restaurant to check, they said the driver is stuck in traffic. The distance between my hotel and the restaurant is 2.5 miles only. The driver got here over 30 minutes late and blamed«GrubHub» and«online ordering» for the delay!!! The order was also missing an item(ordered $ 7 salad that never made it!). So I called the restaurant again. They didn’t apologize, the person just wanted to end the call). Supposedly they will send the salad back. 2 days later and I am still waiting! Horrible horrible place. I am at awe they’re still in business given their horrifying customer service and disgusting food. I want my money back! Ugh!

Always a friendly place to eat with the family. Good pizza, with nice options if you’re in the mood for something else… It’s not a pizza I swoon over, but it’s its good, convenient, and an enjoyable place…

If I am going to eat pizza in Chapel Hill it is at Alfredos. Love the crust, just the right amount of sauce and plenty of options both with sauce and without(pesto). This place has been a local staple for years and the staff is fabulous. The owner and his wife have a heart of gold and contribute many pizzas to local sports clubs and children’s events. The location is fabulous and he has plenty of tables for large groups. They also have delivery option as well!

I ordered a white pizza today and it revealed itself to truly honor the form. They said 15 min and the pizza was ready then. Definitely some quality ingredients in this splendid pie. I look forward to more forays here. It’s in the U-Mall in Chapel Hill and very easy to get at. It’s on the side that faces the Harris-Teeter and is near the new theatres the mall is putting in.

I don’t know the exact science or phrase, but it goes something like this, «chew your food 30 times per mouthful and it will help control your food consumption/portion size.» Something along those lines. Well personally, I don’t chew each mouthful 30x. BUT if you do, this is the right pizza for you. SOCHEWY! You’ll definitely meet the criteria. I thought the pizza was ok. I wouldn’t eat here again. I ordered a Margherita and it was really quite tasteless all around.

Amazing food and very friendly staff! Don’t be fooled by the location in university mall and small size — this place is top notch! Alfredo’s is, now that I think about it, my favorite pizza place in the nation! I’ve been going here for years and half the time I get an amazing, huge, and hot pizza. What else is there to be said? The other half of the time I’m in the mood for chicken, but instead of going to chick-fil-a or something I come here and get the best garlic knots I’ve ever had and combine them with crispy chicken strips + honey mustard.

Friendly phone service. Fast, friendly delivery to my hotel room. But, would the pie measure up? Oh yes… yes it did! After reading a number of mediocre to poor reviews, I was pretty sceptical, but the bartender and another patron at the bar in my hotel both gave Angelo’s pizza very high marks, so I decided to take a chance. I could not have been happier. Delivery was quicker than estimated by the gent that took my phone order. When the driver arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the pizza was not in one of those keep warm containers and I was immediately expecting the worst. What I found when I opened the box was a piping hot, nicely topped pepperoni, sausage, onion and gorgonzola pizza that was as close to NY style as I’ve had outside NY. The nicest chewy thin crust, just the right amount of greasiness(very important!) and quality ingredients. Deeeeelish!!! I saved a couple of pieces for breakfast in the morning. Who needs eggs and bacon??? If you order from Alfredo’s, I hope you are as fortunate as I was tonight. Seriously 10 out of 10. I have no idea how this could be the same place and the same pie as many haters have described in their one and two star reviews.

not a good pizza place for people that graduated high school. It is in the mall and expensive, not to mention mushy and undercooked. The staff are all meatheads and don’t care about what they serve. God forbid you order something that is not pizza because you are taking your life(tongue) in your own hands. Bland dishes that are reheated with little or no seasoning… I think you would be better off going anywhere else.

After a wine tasing at A Southern Season, I came here with my husband and his parents on a Friday night. My in-laws come to this place all the time with their friends and they wanted us to check it out. We ordered a large white pizza, and while it’s not authentic NY style pizza, it is good pizza. Good, but not great. Alfredo’s is very casual – you order at the counter and then take the pizza to your table. Prices are reasonable and it is a family-run establishment. Overall, Alfredo’s is a great place to grab a quick bite at University Mall.

They give you the salad in a big ass bowl so you can toss the shit out of it. Pizza isn’t bad, NY style.
