5 minutes delivery is as good as it gets here. Driver was nice & friendly. Order was accurate & delivery was cheap. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Edit: total time, 58 minutes. Only explanation was«sorry for your wait». Jimmy Johns is fast, or so the commercials tell me. Fifty minutes ago they confirmed my order for two sandwiches. Still waiting on that food to show up. No word from them, I assume they’d call if they got lost. First experience with JJ’s, and I am terribly unimpressed. Will edit this review when/if I get my food.

This is one of the better Jimmy John’s locations I’ve been to. It’s clean, has a cute outdoor eating area, and you get your sandwiches freaky fast. We haven’t used their delivery service, so my score is based solely on our eat in experiences. Every time we’ve been the employees were nice. My favorite sandwich is the Italian Night Club, plus the bread is awesome! You can even get their day old bread for only fifty cents or something like that:)

I don’t know what is going on with this place, but the service has taken a real dive. I won’t be ordering from them for a long while.

Slow, slow, slow. By the time the sandwich you order for delivery gets to you, you could have gone out, had a nice dinner and dessert, and come home.

Came for a late-night snack on a Wednesday. The guy handing us our order reflexively said, «Sorry for the wait.» And then caught himself. There was no wait. I guess other nights are not always the same…

The sandwiches themselves are good enough, but if you’re ordering for delivery, it certainly is not«freaky fast.» I have never waited less than 45 minutes for a sandwich from them and as I type this review, I have currently been waiting an hour and twenty minutes and still no sandwich. On a Thursday. Ordered at 8:30PM. I live 2 miles away(their delivery radius is not very wide anyway). There is no reason for this long of a wait. My only guess is that they wait for other orders from the same area to come in so that they can make multiple deliveries in one trip. **UPDATE: I called them and they said they didn’t receive my online order, even though I received the confirmation email saying that they got it. Not sure how that happened. Ended up taking 35 minutes from the time I re-ordered(still a long time, I ended up waiting an hour and 55 minutes total for this order), but the driver had to call and ask where the apartment complex is(I’ve gotten 10+ deliveries here before without a problem). And he asked me to meet him outside. Even when I’ve ordered from campus(less than a mile away), I’ve had to wait 45 minutes or more for deliveries. I would have walked there myself but I ordered delivery because I was stuck in meetings that ran longer than scheduled. All in all, the subs are fine, nothing spectacular, and the only thing that makes them better than Subway(in my opinion) is that they offer alfalfa sprouts. **UPDATE: just kidding! They permanently dropped sprouts from their menu. Certainly don’t order delivery unless you’re feeling lucky.

Went to Jimmy Johns on «Customer Appreciation» Day. Ordered by number with NO special directions. Got a sandwich that was LITERALLY turkey on bread. Nothing else. Called to see if they’d replace it and the response was«sure, but you have to wait in line again. We have lots of other customers.» I posted to their Facebook page hoping that someone at their corporate office would care but all they did was delete my post. I guess they didn’t care. This was more like anti-Appreciation day. My office is in the same building as their store and we eat there A LOT. Do they care? If you want a sandwich fast that may or may not be what you actually ordered and don’t care about customer service and want to support a corporation that could care less as well, then feel free to patronize this establishment. If, on the other hand, you appreciate customer service, quality food and a caring business, I wouldn’t waste even a dollar here. The impression we have of them was completely ruined on the one day that they wanted to «appreciate» their customers. If this is how they treat customers when they want to appreciate them, it’s all downhill from there. Thank you, Jimmy Johns for caring about us, your customers, on your Customer Appreciation Day. Good thing Subway isnt far away!

You’d have to be on crack to give this store a good rating. Everyone I have ever encountered at this store has been on heroin, moronic, a complete asshole, or all of the above. My delivery order just took 90 minutes and 3 phone calls to arrive, during which everyone was completely rude to me, uncaring, unsympathetic, snide, and dismissive. My sub arrived not even fresh or as ordered and no offers were made to compensate me for my terrible service, let alone an effort to apologize. When I called, people would pass me along to each other, saying rude things, and then hang up on me. To top it all off, the food wasn’t even good. Every time I have eaten inside, everyone has been an asshole to me, also. That’s part of the reason I desperately made a delivery order. I was hungry and the options weren’t great. The mistake won’t happen again. Chef Boyardee tops this.

Mustard Nazies! Next time you’re hungover I hope someone denies you mustard, thanks, jerks. Btw, that would be directed at the manager, the sales clerks have always been very nice.

I can’t even. The food at Jimmy John’s already isn’t great by a long shot. It’s decent, and if I can’t make it over to Carrboro to Neal’s or I just happen to be near by, hungry, and not in the mood for Chipotle or Panera(both of which are chains that are in general better, but I eat at a little too often sometimes, as a result), I’ll stop by for a sandwich. The price is right, so it works on rare occasion. However, I do find it odd that when I called for delivery today(something I never do, but did today because I’m stuck at home for medical reasons and out of groceries), that the person I spoke with didn’t know if they delivered to my apartment, which is a grand total of 2 miles from the store. But he checked, said they did, and I placed my order, and went about my business. Until I was called back and informed that I wasn’t in their delivery area, there was nothing they could do about it, and if I couldn’t come in, I was just going to have to cancel my order. In summation, won’t be spending my money here again. Their food isn’t all that great any way, and they can’t be bothered to go a mere 2 miles away from their store for delivery, which hardly seems to even count as a delivery service to me. I’m pretty sure this isn’t corporate policy, as I’ve been in towns with JJs that delivered much further away, so this seems like a bad management decision on the part of the Franklin St. store. You own a store in a college town; you may want to think about to delivering to, y’know, where the vast majority of the town lives?

Kinda bummed their delivery range is so limited, but I guess it doesn’t matter too much since it certainly wouldn’t be my first choice for subs. The sandwiches are quite bland, the bread a little too tough and just overall average. I would say it is a step above Subway but I am spoiled by all the other home grown shops to go out of my way for this. I would go so far as to say if you have a choice of chains Jason’s Deli would beat out in taste. But it is convenient and fast and filling.

Waited 45 minutes for my sub, disappointing for a chain that hinges all its advertising around fast delivery. I ordered online and they completely ignored my instructions-didn’t cut it in half, and charged me to add avocados and cheese but conveniently forgot to put them on my sandwich. Definitely won’t be going here again.

Worst. Place. Ever. Seriously, employees are a bunch of incompetent assholes(they’re always snide, which makes no sense considering THEYWORKAT A JIMMYJOHNS), they never get your order right, and deliveries are always late. I’ll drive down to Carrboro or the Subway on Franklin just so I don’t have to deal with these fucktards anymore.

I have no idea why people go to this place. The food quality is not that good. Go over to Neils in Carrboro for a real sandwich. I have had this food at a couple office meetings and it is not prudent, I am not sure if the breaded substance is bread or not and the food looks over preserved. Seriously skip it.

I can eat Jimmy John’s pretty much any time of day, but I especially love them because they’re a good late-night alternative to pizza, burritos, or Time Out. I always order the yummy Beach Club — turkey, avocado, sprouts, tomato, provolone, and cucumber. Jimmy John’s prides itself on using the freshest ingredients, and as far as I can tell it’s not an empty claim. The staff is friendly and efficient, and I love that they deliver. I don’t think they offer any discounts or anything, but the food is so cheap that it doesn’t matter. Also, if you’re ever on UNC’s campus on a warm day, keep an eye out for the JJ employees walking around and giving out sandwiches in Polk Place.

Is this a chain? Why do I hear some people call this a chain? I’ve never seen another Jimmy Johns location. Perhaps after traveling across the rainbow bridge to fabled Asgard I shall see the holy walls of yet another Jimmy Johns. Best sandwich place around for the money. Other places might be better(Quiznos) or cheaper(god knows where), but the combination here can’t be beat. There’s a huge variety of stuff on the menu, with a couple specials here and there, namely the Giant Crazy-Freak(that’s the actual name, but not really) sandwich for those of you who are super hungry. They really pride themselves — on paper — for using fresh ingredients to make ‘simply tasty’ sandwiches, or something like that, and despite the dripping sincerity of the propaganda, the food really does taste very fresh. Come and eat here, you’ll like it.
