Just checked out the new spot on Sam Rittenberg! Large restaurant with a beautiful inside/outside bar. The service was non existent but I hope that it gets better with time. I was the only one at the bar for 10 minutes. The female bartender ignored me completely after passing me several times without even eye contact. I finally was able to get the other bartenders attention and get served. Food was good but I would wait until they are more settled in with staff to grab a quick lunch(45 mins for slices and water). Over all, there is a lot of potential for the area and I am excited to try it again in the future!

We just got back from eating at Andolini’s in West Ashley since they re-opened today at their new location on Sam Rittenberg Bvd. It was just as good, if not better then I remembered! We had their Italian Salad with delicious Mozzarella Cheese and Pizza(which really reminds me of the pizza up north… yummy!), plus they added Fries to their menu that our son and us all loved! The service was excellent and the place looks great! After talking to the owners who were super nice, I am now looking forward to trying some of their other new menu items next time like the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. Thank you Andolini’s!

Very disappointed. Pizza was overcooked, dark brown almost black on the bottom instead of a golden brown. And even after overcooking it– you pick up a slice and it goes limp. No one wants a floppy slice of pizza– it should be crisp! And the sauce was BAD– straight from a can. And they use cheese that has been frozen, you can just tell by the color of the pizza. Nothing fresh about this place, hopefully they stop taking shortcuts and start using fresh ingredients!

I don’t know why it took me so long to try Andolini’s, but I finally did. I had a craving for a slice of pizza the other day, and not wanting to buy a whole pizza or have one delivered, I decided to go with the Andolini’s veggie slice. Andolini’s prepares the slices as you order them and calls out your name when it’s ready. The slices aren’t ready-made or under heat lamps, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. The slices are huge, so one might fill you up unless you’re really hungry. You can get a special that includes a slice, salad, and drink for $ 7 which is a great deal. They also offer a few non-pizza items such as salads. For some reason, the small salads are dine-in only on the menu, which seems a bit weird to me. I wanted some salad to go with my pizza. I was getting it to go, so I just skipped the salad. The pizza slice was delicious. I got a side of marinara sauce because I like extra sauce on my pizza, and the sauce is really good, a little sweet and I like it that way. There’s enough cheese and toppings on the pizza, it’s not overly greasy, and the cheese isn’t tough. In other words, when you bite the pizza, you won’t get all the cheese in one bite. The atmosphere is also a little lacking. You could sit outside, but there were smokers on the patio(not exactly the environment I want when eating, and I had to hold my breath to walk inside). It’s also a bit dark inside, and the parking lot needs repaving– but at least they have a big one. The pizza was great and I’d go back for a slice, but I doubt I’d ever eat it *at* Andolini’s. The whole location just needs some TLC. I’ve heard Andolini’s will be opening a new location in West Ashley in the next year, so hopefully that takes care of the aesthetic issues.

I didn’t think the pizza was very good. It is New York style in crust and slice size only(I lived in NYC for 6 years). I got a 19″ with pepperoni and sausage. It was pretty dry without much cheese, and they overcooked it, leaving much of it brown instead of gold. The Italian salad was better, but it is difficult to mess up raw vegetables, right? I really wouldn’t recommend it, and because it is just so easy to get pizza right, I won’t be giving them a second chance.

We hit up Andolini’s every trip to Charleston. The pizza is just my style and I agree on the meatballs. Great stuff. Don’t know what the story is about the«dirty chefs», the staff is usually tatted and pierced but that’s my kind of crowd so it works for me.

I really like Andolinis and I can’t figure out if I’m a pizza snob or just like one type of pizza. Maybe that’s what makes me a pizza snob? I love a thin crust, good sauce, and pepperoni. Pretty easy you’d think. Andolinis has just that. Andolini’s pies are pretty large so don’t complain yet about their price. One pie can easily feed a family of 4. Try Edie’s favoirte with meatballs and onions. I do love meatballs on a pizze too. There’s something daredevilish about it to me. Like meatballs should only be in pasta, what’s it doing on this pizza. If we don’t have plans for dinner and aren’t looking for a big meal, or just need a good snack we hit up Andolini’s for one of their meal deals. One slice with one topping, your choice of side salad, and a drink for $ 7. Or try two cheese pieces and drink if that’s your fancy. We like to sit at the bar so we can quiz each other with super old trvial pursuit cards.

Now thatsa good pizza pie ! I picked one up for dinner tonight and it was big. It was cheesy. It was hot. Andddd it had GREAT crust which is prettyyyyy critical for me to give a pizza two thumbs up and oooh I do. I had a half cheese/half pepperoni and the pies are NY style. I only spent a few minutes in the store and the place looked exactly like I expect of a pizzeria. Not too nice. Not too dingy. Just right! Go here.

The pizza is always good, but you can only order the large pizza. The down side is that it’s and old location. The bathroom is disgusting! It needs an over haul! That is why I don’t give them 4 stars.

Pretty good. Big slices. I think the one downtown would have more to offer in ambience. We were looking for a quick simple eats and we got it, can’t complain. Good olé ny style pizza… for Charleston.

Best pizza in Chaleston! Portions are huge so bring a friend. Pizza is always hot with lots of fresh toppings! It can get really hot in the front room in the summer.

I had also heard — over and over again — how great Andolini’s was, but the only time I’ve ever been to this location, I simply wasn’t all that impressed. We ordered a fairly standard sausage pie, and the service was decent, but the pizza itself that came out was fairly limp and greasy. Now it’s definitely a possibility that it’s this location, and the one that is on the peninsula is actually better, but I’ve(still) never been there, so I can’t say. Just be warned that the West Ashley location isn’t all that great.

After hearing how great this restaurant was for NY style pizza, i was sorely disappointed. it took forever to get the pizza. we called in at 6pm and they said it would be ready in 40 minutes. went to the restaurant at 6:35 and waited until 7PM to get my pizza. the chefs looked like dirty criminals. i almost wanted to get my money back and leave. after getting home and tasting the pizza, i thought it was good NY style pizza, but not great. it was just OK. we’ll never go back to andolini’s and their dirty chefs.
