This is a small family run neighborhood grocery store in the residential downtown area convenient to the battery and South of Broad residents. Prices are slightly higher, but you’re paying for the convenience. If you’re rushed for time, they prepare lunch and dinner meals for eat in or take out. They have most of your basics available and they are also a drop site for a local CSA. There is usually parking on Broad Street right out front, but if not, you can just temporarily park along the road and run in without an issue.

The barbecue is excellent as are their other sandwiches. They also make their own coleslaw, pasta salads, etc that make for easy and quick meals. Highly recommend

Local grocer and deli. Great pulled pork BBQ. Sort of view into life before the days of supermarkets.

Step through the immaculate white storefront into this mom and pop grocery, a treasured remnant of times past. The only corner store around that’s not seedy and not run by bearded hipsters. They have a limited selection and slightly higher prices than larger retailers but a great deli, specialty products that are hard to find, and house-made soups, pimento, shrimp salad, and other tasty prepared foods along with local brands like frozen pasta from Bertolini(the guys who sell freshly rolled pastas at the farmers market). So glad Burbage exists!

Nice neighborhood market that is family owned. They have drinks and a small selection of groceries. The old man and woman at the register are the sweetest people. Their sandwiches are great and cheap. I think they run you about $ 3.00. They also have pulled pork sandwiches that are also great. A great place to get cold cuts, especially their roast beef.
