Fast precise orders. Best in country. Add sprouts and hot peppers on whole grain. Easy mayo :)

It’s like I’m forced to give this 5 stars because I’m forced to order it every time it’s late in the night and nothing else is open at all. Isn’t this the original one? Cuz that’s cool I guess

Food is always fast and delicious. No complaints. You also can’t beat that this is the first store, ever!

Fast and friendly! Ordered all the time when I worked in charleston. Only got my order wrong once and they got me my correct sandwich super fast. It made me laugh when they came thru my drive thru pharmacy window to deliver my sandwich :)

Charleston, IL has two important firsts that I’m aware of. It has the first Jimmy John’s, and it has the first Rural King. I haven’t set foot in either establishment yet, which is a travesty that sorely needs to be remedied. However, it’s become a practice to order lunch delivery from Jimmy John’s when I need a pick-me-up because more often than not nowadays, I’m working through lunch. I don’t know how they are through the phone or in person either because I have staff who handles all of that. I just tell them whether it’s a #3 or a #5 sort of day, hand them my credit card, and disappear for awhile, and when I come back, my lunch is magically on my desk. It’s kind of a neat concept. They haven’t gotten my order wrong yet, and it tastes like every other Jimmy John’s I’ve been too so I’m pretty satisfied. It actually doesn’t take that much to make me happy, but for the 10 minutes alone I get to devour my Jimmy John’s in between work behind closed doors, it does make my day better. No, they are not freakishly faster than any other Jimmy John’s, and no, this Jimmy John’s is not the best ever… but it sure is solid. I always get kinda sad when I drive by though because they have a very beautiful 21st century facelift and drive thru(unlike Rural King or even the 1st McDonalds up in the Chicago suburbs), and I wish they kept it like how it used to be… just for old time’s sakes.

Went to drive-up. 4 or 5 cars in front of me. After a minute, the line didn’t move. Parked and went inside. There was no line at the register, but there were literally 10 employees behind the counter. 5 were doing absolutely nothing. I told the gal that they fly the Space Shuttle with a smaller crew than this. It took 5 minutes to get my sandwiches. Was not given a receipt. No onions on my sandwich as requested.

really rude workers… we went there twice, the costumer service really bad, they don’t even smile. one of girls there made fun of us when we were ordering! she thought we didn’t listen to her, but we did! there are maybe 8 – 9 who work there and they are just making fun of the costumers! what a place to eat there!

Been here and done this place soooooo many times we’re practically long distance lovers. She calls to me as I live the dream in CA. Always teasing me with fresh baked french rolls and delicious tastes when i’m back visiting famiy. Consistent quality and the comfort of knowing any selection is gonna be good makes this baby a 5 star. I’ve even inquired about franchise cost to get one of these lusty ladies to San Francisco to overwhelm the fogged in masses(way too expensive). Love this place.

I love Jimmy John’s! I probably come here about twice a week… the only downside is that it starts to add up. But it’s so yummy! Sometimes the sandwiches are made a little differently and you have to rearrange the toppings/meat inside, but they’ve never made an error on my sandwich. The service is good for the most part too, I’ve only dealt with one grumpy cashier once.

I’m with Katherine R. This is indeed America’s finest Jimmy Johns. They are on every other block in Chicago, and scattered throughout the ‘burbs, but none come close to the original Want a tip? get the veggie but add Bacon! Try it sometime when nothing jumps out at you.

Listen to me when I say this: This is the best Jimmy John’s in the country. Not just in general, but this Jimmy John’s. This is indeed, the Original Jimmy John’s, so this has pretty much everything to do with it. My addiction has stayed with me since graduating from good old EIU, but no other Jimmy John’s will ever come close to this place. I was not going to a review a Jimmy John’s, but this is the original and it’s worth driving 2.5 hours from Chicago to Charleston for. Any person that I have brought this up to has agreed. And see that girl with me in the picture? She did not like Jimmy John’s upon going to Charleston, but guess what? She has an unnecessary and unhealthy obsession with it now! cue Dr. Evil laugh…
