This place is awesome! I highly recommend the avocado toast and scrambled eggs. You won’t regret it.

Delicious! Make sure to get the avocado toast! They also offer soy milk which is great for us lactose intolerant folks!

The Park Café is reliably great. I’ve never had a bad meal, everything is reasonably priced, and the staff is super friendly. Great happy hour with cocktail, beer, and wine options – plus snacks! It’s a charming neighborhood spot with a homey but open feel. It seems like the perfect place to become a regular, which I would if I lived in the neighborhood.

This place is adorable. The atmosphere is very bright and airy, and the mini market at the front was precious. I got the veggie mess, which was like an egg & veggie scramble with sliced avocado on top. It came with a small amount of really spicy red sauce, which complemented the dish well. The service was great; everyone was super friendly and timely. I thought it was just a tad more expensive than it should be, but not enough to keep me from going back. Would recommend!

My wife was on me about eating healthier, so I stopped in to grab a salad. It was wonderful and packed with protein(which makes me happy!). The wait staff were super friendly and prompt. I sat outside and enjoyed the crisp fall afternoon. I highly recommend this quirky little spot.

What an adorable café for any meal! I stopped at the Park Café for breakfast on a weekday morning(they open at 7)! And it was quiet, not crowded, and a great place to enjoy a lazy breakfast on my own with my book! The menu was varied and surprising, and it took a while before I settled on my cappuccino and Danish popovers(Ebelskiver). The cappuccino was good, and the Ebelskiver were amazing! Light and fluffy and covered in powdered sugar! They came with a little mason jar full of house-made blueberry preserves, which went perfectly with the Ebelskiver! Service was great, and the restaurant was charming and chic — with planters inside and large windows for plenty of light! I would definitely be a regular here if I lived in Charleston!

We love the park café! Avocado toast and corned beef has for brunch are always standouts. One of the few restaurants around here with reasonable prices AND parking! Lovely atmosphere and great comforting food. Loses one star for not switching up the menu that often, but we enjoy it all the same.

Fellow foodies, I have just spent $ 25 on the most scrumptious lunch I have eaten in a long while; the Park Café had wow-ed me to somewhere between a fat kid trapped in a cookie shop and a lion chilling in the zebra pen at the San Diego zoo. Where shall I begin, ugh! You know, sometimes I merely wish for a kindly servant-slave nicknamed Rapunzel to write these reviews for me. alas, live is a struggle. My thumbs are already cramping on my wee 4s. Anywho, the shrimp veggie salad is basically bomb dot com status, and it pairs perfectly with the taste-bud-melting poached egg on a slice of almond-buttery toast. Yeah, I know right? I’m hungry again. What is wrong my voracious appetite. Bachelor life strikes again. Stay tuned for next week’s episode entitled«Biking the Mean Streets 2: Revenge of the BMW-Driving Coeds». Cheerio food fans! I love you all. But not really. Just in a soulfully-romantic way.

How I did not know this place existed is beyond me! It is so cute and delicious that we will make a point to return. We got there around 11:45 for brunch one Sunday and it was pretty busy. We had about a 15 minute wait before we were seated. During that time, the patio waitress came and grabbed some drinks for us. I opted for a Mimosa while others had specialty and house coffees. We were seated in the back corner by the wall of plants(very cool). Of course, they had a special and it sounded amazing, so that’s what ¾ of the table ordered. ITWASAMAZING. I have no idea what our waitress called it, but it was basically a ham and cheese and mustard and bechamel sandwich that was so stinkin’ good! I followed it up with a cappuccino and could not have been more pleased. What’s better is that the prices are pretty decent too! Definitely worth checking out!

I’m on the fence about this place. I think the right answer is, they are great for dining in, but not so much for taking food to go. I work right down the street, and have had a number of reasonably good experiences at lunch time. Service has been timely, food has been good. Nothing that has knocked my socks off, but good. This morning, we did an extra hard workout at the gym. All we wanted was a good biscuit sandwich. You know the kind — with the crispy bacon, gooey egg, and melted cheese, on a light and fluffy biscuit that bounces back even after you bite into it? We started at PIE on Warren St. Her sandwiches are on a roll, so we moved on. We debated the Daily(which in hindsight is where we should have gone – tried and true!), but decided to try Park Café. Husband ordered two breakfast biscuits and two chais. $ 33. To go. Yes, you read that right. $ 33 for breakfast biscuits to go for two people. It came with half a grapefruit, which was nice. But here’s where the disappointment sets in. They didn’t put it on a biscuit like he asked — it was on a roll. The very thing we were trying to avoid. The roll was mushy, the sandwich was lukewarm. The bacon and cheese had to be hunted for underneath the egg — you hardly knew it was there. There was some avocado on top, which was a little bit spicy, but couldn’t redeem the rest of it. The grapefruit wasn’t sectioned.(This is a to-go meal… I do not have a knife to section my grapefruit??) We ordered chai along with the sandwiches. While I can attest that normally Park Café’s chai is decent, this one is supremely disappointing. It’s almost flavorless, tastes like I am mostly drinking hot milk. All in all, a disappointing breakfast experience. Perhaps my post-workout expectations were set too high, and need to lower them to be wowed. That being said, I’ll seek out my breakfast biscuit elsewhere from now on.

I am in my twenties and normally I am easily satisfied with food. First thing i could smell when I came in was the urine smell from the bathroom. I ordered a fried egg sandwich. The bacon was overdone and hard to chew on. The grapefruit was old and almost starting to rot. I would definitely not recommend this place.

We sat at the counter. Brunch is great. Good food, little wait. Its a little out there but worth the drive. Very friendly staff. Ok, but here is why only 4 stars. I asked for a decaf ice coffee with milk and sugar. the owner told the waiter that«we don’t do that because it’s too acidic and it won’t taste good. We hard press our coffees the day before». The next five minutes a person came up and ordered 2 iced coffees with milk and sugar to go. The same waiter gave them what the asked for. What am I missing here? The only diff was the decaf request. I asked the waiter, if I asked for a reg decaf coffee, would that be a problem, he said no, so, I said get it for me, and pour it over ice instead! Said Boss said No. I’ve been getting it over ice for so long, I can’t remember. Must be something that I don’t know about. Frank G

I have been wanting to try Park Café for a while. Everyone kept talking about it, so when I had the opportunity to go with a friend, I jumped right on it! The café is so cute! It reminds me of small cafes in the village of NYC or in a beachy town in California. The staff was friendly and prompt. The food was so yummy! We started off with delicious popovers and preserves. They were sooo good. I could have eaten about four plates. Or just the jar of preserves. Highly recommend them! I ordered a sandwich which had avocado, bacon, cheese and an egg. I opted out of the mayo spread. It was probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The bread was fresh and soft, the avocado was on point and the egg was cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy, but not crumbly. Now I want it right now… I also enjoyed an iced coconut/nutella coffee beverage. SOGOOD. I recommend getting one!

Park Café gets a solid 5 stars from me. Fantastic food and fantastic service. The whole vibe is very bright and fresh, green and white. Even the food is very green and white: vibrant colors contrasting on a white plate. My first visit I was not sure what to think, but I am definitely a believer now. Do not miss a chance to snack on some avocado toast, creamed kale, and the pork loin hoagie. Great cocktails too. I can’t wait to give it a try for dinner.

It’s definitely a solid experience with some good menu items. Went there for brunch and was surprised about the menu — seemed a little limited to me. However, everything was A-OK that’s for sure, but nothing blew me away; there was no «must have» menu items. Nothing on the menu really inspired me to think about it days later. The décor is absolutely beautiful and staff/service is definitely above average. It is a great neighborhood place for the west side folks and will serve you up some good food. Prices all over Charleston are going up, and this spot seems to be trending that way too, but with a keen eye on the menu $$, you can probably get out of there for under $ 20 if it’s just you(meal, drink and tip). The two $$ price-point seems spot on. All around — Solid B. Good work. Will come again and recommend.

This place was excellent. We got there at a perfect time since tables were clearing out and there were enough people in line to fill the seats. Décor is cute and bright. Service was very good. I’m not a fan of sitting so close to others but everyone seemed happy to be here and the positivity was contagious. Everyone was friendly. Now the food was incredible. I’m not a fan of guacamole but the breakfast sandwich was absolutely perfect with my side of potatoes. I want to come back and try some other dishes.

The Park Café is one of my personal favorite brunch and lunch spots, located in the bustling up-and-coming neighborhood of North Rutledge. I love the vibrant, brightly lit atmosphere, with lots of flowers, greenery and large windows. Chef John Amato has some serious skills when it comes to creating healthy dishes packing a ton of flavor. For brunch, their Fried Egg Sandwich is a winner, with bacon, cheddar, spicy mayo and avocado. Every time I sign onto Instagram, I feel like I’m looking yet again at a picture of the Park Café’s Avocado Toast, but for good reason. Topped with lemon, olive oil and chili flakes, it makes the perfect breakfast with coffee. Their Sweet Danish Popovers are also amazing if you are craving something sweet, served with house jam. I also am a huge fan of all their salads on their lunch and dinner menus, especially their shredded kale salad with dates and almonds. Must order items: Fried Egg Sandwich Avocado Toast Shredded Kale Salad Farm Egg Vegetable Soup Pickle Plate

After I moved away from Charleston, I had a bunch of friends tell me «Oh my god, you need to come back. You would love Park Café. It’s right up your alley.» Needless to say, when I went back for a visit I was determined to go. I went with my friend who had gone multiple times and loved everything. But as everyone(and I mean everyone!) recommends their avoacdo toast, I knew I had to try it. I am a sucker for anything with avocado so this was no problem for me. Well I don’t know what the heck they put in this masterpiece but it is super freaking good. Ok, so the menu says it’s avocado, lemon, olive oil, salt, chile flakes. Seems simple, but it’s so good. I don’t know if it’s just really good quality bread or oil or what, but it’s perfect. Everyone tries to recreate it at home. Everyone agrees that The Park Café does it better. I agree. Damn it! Gotta go back.

What is not to like about a low key all natural place. Walking into Park Café, you can feel the mellow and the peace of it. It’s small but that doesn’t make it less attractive. The noise level is low key so nobody really bothers you. The service is really friendly. The varista was out for a couple of minutes and our waitress apologized multiple times for the wait on the cappucino which wasn’t bad at all. The sandwiches are to die for! I’m not much of sandwich lover but they have hooked. I took the honey pooched turkey which scared me first because of the jalapeño and i don’t like spicey but it was just a perfect hint of spice! The proportion are also perfect. They are filling enough to get you through the day but light enough to keep on going An overall top place in Charleston which hides of the beatrn track at Wagners Teracce but it’s definetly worth the drive outdoor. The parking lot across the street makes it easy to leave your car
