The hookah was very pricey and not good at all. Couldn’t smoke for the first 30 minutes because it was rough. They decided to change the coal and dropped it all over me. Skin is burnt and have holes in my dress. They apologized and got me an ice pack but I would have expected a better compensation or reimbursement. The place is very small and mostly only reserved for 3 large groups. Bad experience and won’t go back or won’t recommend.

Nice fun atmosphere. Small. I would suggest a small group of friends to joint you. 4 – 5 people. My fiancé and I like going for a chill night out.

Go to spot for the wife and me to get an awesome craft cocktail. As far as I know the only speakeasy in Charlotte, but nonetheless great drinks. Not a hooka fan, but if you’re into that you can get your fill here. I highly recommend the B&B sour, ryehattan, or sucker punch.

This is the best place for uniquely crafted, delish cocktails in a speakeasy setting! The bartenders are open to tailoring any drink to your liking, this is not the typical at some bars with set drink lists. If you like something spicier for example, they will add some heat to accomodate your preference. The B&B Sour is my go-to drink. If you are a fan of the pisco sour, this drink is its more complex, sophisticated cousin(made with brandy and spices). Terri(owner) serves up drinks herself and they are INCREDIBLE! I’ve never tried the hookah since I’m not a smoker, but lots of people seem to enjoy it. Great place, great drinks, great ambiance. Check it out! :)

Cozy, warm atmosphere located in an nice shopping plaza with many other stores, typically restaurants. I accompanied a hookah-obsessed friend here for our evening out around town. As soon as we approached the bar, the friendly bartender offered me a drink of something he was trying out. It was delicious. I ended up drinking that the rest of the night. My date enjoyed his hookah. I personally don’t see the big deal, but I joined in for the sake of fun and spent too much effort trying not to smoke or cough, giving away my amateur skills at smoking. Other patrons ordered food from Librettos in the same plaza. The delivery guy brings a card swiper along with the food, so that’s an additional option to pay with if you hang out here and don’t want to leave. Towards the end of our evening the DJ began spinning some good music. At that time, the place got pretty packed. I had a great experience there and would return in a heartbeat.

What a nifty hole in the wall. A friend invited me here and it’s certainly not a location that one would stumble upon, as it’s located downstairs from the main shopping area of a strip mall. Difficult to explain, but if you’ve been or are going you will understand. The drinks here are really tasty, but more expensive at $ 10/$ 11 for what is someone of a dive kind of place. I like the flavored hookah and it’s reasonably priced around $ 20. One of the bar tenders, Adam, has an unusually soothing voice that flirts even when it isn’t trying. The service is always quick and I can’t remember if they have food, which means that I can’t speak to the quality of it if they do. They also have large televisions where you can watch sports. The venue is small and it gets crowded quickly. Highly recommended for a low key drink with gals or a date. You can talk here before the DJ comes, which is around 8ish maybe, but you’ll have to raise your voice afterwards. I’m a fan of the hole in the walls and this place is that. Also, try the key lime martini as it taste like a pie and is impressive.

Went here on a dead Sunday night, but still had a blast. The DJ played some great music, and the staff was on point…

I’ve been here twice. Once for my bachelorette and once just on a date night. The hookah is excellent, very flavorful and their drinks are like no other. Being a history buff my maid of honor and I were enchanted by the madam lalaurie cocktail. If you don’t know who Madame LaLaurie is google her, she’s wicked, but this drink was everything but. All of their drinks are pretty decent. They are a little pricy and usually only have specials on the bud light. If you go on Monday and Thursday the hookah is half price. This comes in handy when you want to order those 45 – 50 dollar fruit bowls. We had a fruit bowl hookah and honestly I like the regular better. The fruit bowl is just able to hold more shisha. We’ll definitely be back for a half price, on a night out. Kinda pointless to come here when you have a hookah at home. Think I’ll fire it up now!

I have no idea on why this place does not have 5 overall stars. By far the best hookah I’ve had in terms of flavor, texture, and overall cleanliness. I walked in on a Tuesday night expecting a big crowd, but guessing because of the rain and World Series game — all the folks were home. Genuinely, being from Connecticut — you make your way out regardless or rain, shine, or snow. Seeing the light crowd, I was expecting the worst. Walked in and was greeted by Amanda — who’s a delight to have a conversation with and then Austin who’s the owner — but I did not know that until the end of the night. I have a lot of respect for owners who take the time and make the dedication to make their business thrive, it’s essential. I stayed until closing and not once did I feel as though I was being expected to leave. I did not try the other hookah bars in the area but after having had my phenomenal experience here — I wouldn’t see a need to go anywhere else. Make sure you ask Amanda about her dogs!

It’s the best hookah spot in Charlotte. The hookahs are flavorful and always pull well. Plus you actually get a buzz from the shisha. The cocktail menu is plentiful and the drinks I’ve sampled are always well made. Though pricey. But it’s to be expected for a hand crafted drink made with fresh ingredients. Beer selection is limited but diverse enough that even a beer snob will be able to find something palatable. I like the speakeasy vibe and decorations. Definitely worth checking out.

My new favorite bar in Charlotte — the cocktails are clever and amazing(don’t miss the Hocus Pocus cocktail — it’s killer!), the atmosphere is laid-back, hookahs are clean/well-maintained and they use creative shisha combos(and optional fruit bowls on top!) with Starbuzz tobacco. The staff is overall really friendly and attentive, making sure your drinks stay filled and your charcoal never burns out. And when you want to split the cost of a hookah among friends at the end of the night, it’s no problem. The only downside is that it’s a pretty small place — we got there early enough to get seats inside on both visits but we came after dinner. The outside area would be nice when we’re not in the throes of summer.

Looooved stopping in here. There’s quite a few drinks I’ve never heard of before, but my favorite was Hocus Pocus which is B&B, hibiscus syrup, vanilla and champagne. Amazingly delicious. Bartender Andrew(?) keeps the conversation flowing excellently along with a lot of laughs. the place wasn’t busy, only 2 others inside but they were open for conversation which was appreciated. You can get about a dozen different flavors of hookah here. Very cool mixes like strawberry and mint. I’ll be back again for sure, wish I knew about this place a long time ago

This is just one of those places you’ll either really like or you’ll really just won’t. Fortunately for me, my experience here was very positive. I was honestly looking for a place that had good hookah, and i stumbled here. Walked in to some extremely loud music but since im an EDM fan and came alone im ok with it. Sat down at he bar and asked the bartender(who is one of the coolest dudes i’ve met) to set me up with some hookah and drinks. — The Hookah. Honestly it was not bad. It definitely wasn’t the best but it was packed well and the flavor came through nicely(which is all I expect at a hookah lounge). Cool note: YOUCANSMOKEATTHEBAR!!! I’ve honestly never seen that and I love sitting at the bar and making small talk so this was definitely appreciated. They also have KM hookahs(look it up if you don’t know) so I do appreciate the quality. Pricing is pretty high($ 20 for 1 flavor, $ 25 for a mix) which for me is a huge downside. — The Drinks. If I didn’t like hookah, I’d still come here for the drinks because they bomb!!! A play on mixed drinks with real fruit, they put it in small glass barrels(hence the name) and serve great portions for the price. I had several cucumber based drinks(Since i like Pimm’s Cup) and they tasted pretty darn good. I would honestly come back just for this. With the mixture of good hookah and mixed drinks I’ll definitely be back.

I found this looking for a hookah spot that sells superb drinks. I was totally impressed. This place is awesome. You are catered to by the best of the best. Your drinks are created by mixologist. You tell them what you want and they produce. The prices are great. Not only that the hookah is phenomenal. And I wanted to slap the DJ he was so good. He knew he was good because he walked out the door when he knew he dropped a hot song. It’s a lowkey spot where you will have good times. I know I will be back again and again.

This is pretty neat spot. Staff is always friendly and the drinks have always been good. It’s also a hookah lounge for the smokers out there. A little small but it makes the place intimate. They also host some pretty good DJ’s through out the week. Mostly Wednesday and Sunday. Sometimes two at a time with one outside.

Nice chill place to have a few drinks or smoke hookah. I liked the vibe. Dark, relaxed, music loud enough to feel like you’re out but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. And the drinks… Geez they were good. And so strong! I had Sieana make me a drink of her choosing after telling her what I liked. Gin, St. Germaine and soda, with muddled strawberries, lime and cucumber. I highly recommend.

Would not have known about this place if it was not for Unilocal, and remembered passing up the place when I went to Michaels. Place — It is a small establishment that is nestled between a bar, ice cream shop, and a restaurant. The second time I have been here, we were outside, enjoying the nice view of the courtyard plaza underneath the string of white lights. It was a lovely evening. Service — Friendly and attentive waiters/waitress/hosts. Music — Is all up to date, with a mix of the 90’s and 00’s. What to do — A good hang out with friends to chit-chat and smoke up some hookah. I personally do not smoke them, but hang out with friends who does. They have enjoyed this place way too much, and I find the place needing a little reno. Drinks — I love sweet alcoholic drinks, so my go to is always the sweet-tart like drink that is fun to drink out of. It is pricey, I believe $ 8 or so? But I get a good amount of drink out of it in a mason jar.

Easily the best mixed drinks that the wife and I have had in Charlotte. They have a small regular cocktail list with about 10 or 12 standard drinks, but they can easily make an infinite number of different drinks based on the amount of spirits they have on hand. The wife and I decided to go off menu by choosing from a list of words that describe the drink that you are interested in imbibing. For example, the wife chose herbal, refreshing and floral, and she got a gin drink with muddled basil, I chose strong and smokey and received a cocktail with scotch, bourbon and cognac. For the second round, I went with a spicy gin drink which had a nice jalapeño kick to it, and the wife chose the a cucumber strawberry drink from the menu called a Boardwalk. She asked for it not to be too sweet and they obliged by slightly changing the drink. They have hookah if that’s your thing and it seems like they have regular DJs and they mentioned other events like karaōke and a burlesque night. The atmosphere is quiet early in the evening, but certainly picks up when the DJ gets spinning. As an aside, we found the drinks reasonably priced. We will definitely return with friends that also enjoy tasty libations.

Tucked away and barely noticeable goes along with the intentions of this speak-easy kind of place. Once into the bar you will notice nothing more than cool leather couches and seating for what could potentially be a very relaxing spot. My first visit came this past week and at first I wasn’t thinking I would really like the place but once inside and relaxed it began to grow on me. My biggest complaint would literally only be to get the lighting right. At some point the track lighting is just too bright and a bit of a mood deterrent. Other than that, the DJ, the service and the unique drink menu really do the trick. Not to mention the hookah’s for use. The décor is warm and cozy and of course our table was a modified bourbon barrel. How fitting. That being said watch your drinks because the tops are a little unforgiving and not level all around.
