Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade

We hadn’t been to a Charlotte Pride since my husband died and we missed it. This year we made it!
I went with my daughter and two of her friends for a day of fun on Saturday. The day and night before, I crocheted as many rainbow bracelets as I could and I gave them to the kids to hand out to folk.
The highlight of my day was seeing the Prancing Elites strutting their stuff live.
It was a lot different than how I remembered from last time but that took nothing from the beauy of the day or the event.
Looking forward to next year.

It makes my heart super happy to see so many people (and so many different people from all different walks of life) come together this weekend in uptown for the festival and parade. You can’t help but have a giant smile on your face.
I still can’t get over how many people lined the streets for the parade. I can’t wait to watch Pride continue grow each year.
Shout out to RAIN & Cupcrazed and also Snug Harbor on their killer floats. The group who handed out the freezie pops were complete life savers. Shewww, it was a warm one.
I love living in this city. Thank you Charlotte for a weekend full of love.

Can’t wait to see this CLTPRIDE blow up and grow to take up the entire Tryon street through Uptown.
