Fastenal

i’m not going to pretend to know everything that this company/​store offers, but if you need a bolt, screw, security fastener, etc with very specific measurements (more than likely lowe’s/home depot doesn’t carry it)…this is the place to go.
needed a security fastener for a step & repeat after one was lost & it had to match the other one perfectly to secure the step & repeat. we tried several similar fasteners from lowe’s & home depot but they didn’t match exactly and the hardware wobbled & wasn’t secure. while at lowe’s, one of the nice employees assisting us told us about fastenal. i googled it & within minutes we arrived & were helped by the very friendly staff. they took our fastener, matched it perfectly, told us about 2 color options, basically making us aware that if the color didn’t matter the price was much cheaper w/​the 2^nd option which was very nice & helpful.
less than 5 mins later we had a box of fasteners (b/​c i’m sure we will probably lose a couple more), a VERY cheap expense, & a new found extremely helpful place.
