Once a Staple Harris Teeter and a large store at one juncture in a time long ago, it’s seen better days. Even with the renovation the layout has a shopper scratching trying to figure much out. bottled waters are over near floral/cards, not anywhere near the drink aisle, etc. Staff has never been that friendly or caring since day one, and nothing has changed. Built at a time they couldn’t give land away or finish a project on Carmel. Evident entirely by the shoddy layout of the complex. The corner could use a gas station. Plenty of space. It’s the only area in town devoid of any convenience leaving you to drive in many directions to compensate.

This is not my favorite branch of Harris Teeter. The staff doesn’t seem eager to help and much worse, they aren’t very personable or friendly. They have good deals on the Friday sub sandwich. It is delicious, packed with meats, and fresh breads.

I agree with other comments that the layout of this particular HT is quit odd. Bakery and Deli are on the opposite side of produce. However, my rating is based on the fact that this store operates under different ‘rules’ than the other SEVENHT’s I regularly shop. I stopped by this particular store as it was on the way to pick up my daughter. Finished my shopping and was checking out. I wanted to use my HT $ 10 off $ 50(my total Bill was just under $ 80). My HT coupon had expired but This has NEVER been a problem at ANY of the other stores and my cashier told me that she just needed to get approval. When Natashua came over to the cashier she said that HT does not honor their own expired coupon. I asked her again and asked if this was a new policy. She said that HT’s have never honored these if they are expired. Now I have current ones but since for the past TWO years ALLHT’s I have shopped have not cared about the date I don’t worry about the dates any longer. Apparently this little store is behind this trend and they don’t have any flexibility with customer service. Think I am one and done with this store as apparently it depends on who you get to approve the coupon as to whether or not they will honor it. There is either a training issue or a policy issue!

The size of this Harris teeter is about average. The supplies here are acceptable, but the variety can be worked on. I came here yesterday to get a daily sub at the deli. I asked for wheat bread, the guy told me they are out. I think they need to do a better job making sure their supplies are well stocked, that is the whole point of a grocery store, if you don’t have something, people will start going elsewhere. No one wants to get their grocery at two separate stores. The guy working behind the deli line also seemed impatient, instead of apologizing they are out of a type of bread that the store advertised to have, he was being cold and quick with me. He slabs my tuna salad on to the wrap… since they don’t have subs as if he is pissed off. I asked if he could cut my sub in half he acted like it is not possible to do. Who holds a 6 inch wrap and start eating it? I bet most people cut it up at least in half right? He made me feel extremely uncomfortable, almost to the point where I almost don’t even want to eat it anymore. Then it is the self checkout line. There is not even a staff behind the self checkout desk. Some customers needed help and were confused but the checkout person was not there. Not sure if the checkout person is helping another isle or simply walked away. This store needs organization. It is not the first time that I have encountered unfriendly staff here.

This is a tiny Teeter, as Jeff S. mentioned in his review. This isn’t my typical Teeter, but after eating dinner at Hawthorne’s located in the same strip center, I stopped in for just a few things that I needed for the weekend. The first thing I noticed at the opening doors was the smell — it smelled odd(I won’t be more specific, it was just odd and not grocery store smelling). But it was a typical small footprint HT with your basic HT needs. The store was clean, carts and baskets were readily available and neatly lined up. There were plenty of checkout lines open(thank you!). I was able to find everything on my list, was quickly checked out by a friendly woman and was on my way.

In Charlotte we have Tajma Teeters and this one… one I consider a Tiny Teeter. I lived behind this one for a few years so yes this was my Teeter for a while. It’s small but it still has most of the things you’d expect from a Harris Teeter: Fresh produce, friendly and helpful employees, fresh deli and meat items. Overall, a nice little neighborhood store in a neighborhood shopping center.

This is a nice big store, but it has a troubling layout. The entrance gets muddled up with the exit in a crush of cashiers, counters and carts. When you make it past the mêlée thing calm down a bit, but it’s still confusing: the two aisles on the right are longer than all the rest, projecting back into a freezer-based no-man’s land disconnected from the rest of the store. That bothered me. You might be okay, but the aesthetics threw me off.
