LOVEOFFICEMAX. But this location is CLOSED and needs to be removed from the site. I got all happy that I found an office supply store nearby only to find that they are no longer here. Please UPDATE UnilocalSITE! going trolling for file folders before the holidays. yeah…

I visited the store on a Friday night, close to closing time.(Around 8:00pm and the store closes at 9pm.) I had an item to return but had, unsurprisingly, thrown away my sales receipt. I walked over to the cashier, was greeted professionally, and promptly taken care of. Not having a receipt was not a problem– she simply processed the return and put the value onto an Office Max gift card. No problem, seeing that I’d be spending that much on other things I needed. I forgot to mention at the beginning of my review that the store is closing. Either relocating or going out of business??? I don’t know and I didn’t ask. The building is quite old and that could be part of the reason. Who knows. Everything in the store was on sale, with a percent off most of the inventory and some was even clearanced, too. They have done a pretty good job with keeping the isles clean and well organized. No unsightly, hard to maneuver messes. Things are still fairly easy to find and their inventory is plentiful, still. The store isn’t closing until sometime at the end of May– I’m sure by then, the place will be wiped out! Overall, customer service was good. Everyone was very friendly. The only problem I saw while I was there was the observing of the manager, literally, SITTING on the counter. It was closing time and I’m sure he was tired! I was never bothered with annoying announcements, notifying me every 5 minutes that the store was closing at 9pm and reminding me to hurry the heck ouuta there BUT how«conveniently» they’d be opening at «whatever time they opened» the next day. Honestly, I had lost total track of time and one of the associates came to me at 9:10 and very nicely told me the store had closed 10 minutes ago but to take my time and a register was still open for my convenience!!! Very sweet!!! Too bad this store is closing– because overall, its a pretty great place to shop for all your office supply needs!!!

I’m not a big fan of this area of town anymore. Regardless, this is the closest Office Max to my workplace and I was in desperate need of labels. You can tell the building is old and it really feels that way when you walk in. They are in serious need of revamping or relocating. I was greeted within a few seconds of walking in the door. I normally enjoy a decent greeting and check-in sometime during my visit, however I was greeted 7 times in the span of 5 minutes. I’m pretty sure a couple people asked me if I was finding everything twice. Were they even paying attention to who they were asking? After finding the labels I needed, I realized Sharpies were necessary. While perusing the extensive Sharpie selection, I took a phone call from my husband. While clearly talking on the phone, I was interrupted 3 more times by people that had already asked me if i was finding everything ok. I am all for customer service, but this was far beyond normal customer service. Overly aggressive customer service folks aside, the store had the selection I needed and overall, my goal was accomplished. Ironically, the cashier did *not* ask me if I found everything I needed. So odd.

I needed to send a package on a Sunday and the FedEx site said that this was the closest to me. Awesome. The clerk took care of my package professionally and without issue. And then I wandered around to see if there were any office supplies or furniture that shouted«buy me!» I was almost to the register when I spotted their display of deeply discounted electronics. Some of it as much as 30 to 50% off. Bonus. OfficeMax has free wifi, which was useful as I looked up the reviews of all of those cheap digital cameras and camcorders to see if any of them were a real bargain. Yeah, a few were good and a few were cheaper than if I had bought them on eBay.

Came here to buy a business pad and some thank you cards. I found everything quite easily and everything was reasonably priced. Not a bad place to get those things you don’t want in bulk. Friendly staff.
