Such a FUN and girly Cupcake shop. From the moment you open the door you get a giant –WHOOSH!- and gob-smacked in the face with Pink everything and the savory scent of baked goodness. I love me some Cupcakes! and SAS did not disappoint during my business trip to Charlotte. I loved the warm and friendly smiles, the fact that husbands can go there to get something unique and sweet to bring home to their wives, the face that kids run in and want to grab everything because it all looks so exciting and delectable, the fact that there are so many yummy flavors to choose from and it honestly puts you in a good mood just being there! DEFINITELY check out this place! Highly recommended!

Very dry cupcakes that tasted like they sat out for a day or two before selling. The actual cake portion was small and covered by an oversized glop of frosting. Based on my experience this shop favors appearances over quality.

These cupcakes are decent, but they go bad very quickly so plan on eating it right when you get it or not at all. I would probably go with not at all though. The frosting is a bit overbearing, and the actual cake part is pretty small. Some people may find the service pleasant, personally I think the peppiness is a little much… A 2.5 might be a more accurate rating, but I went here on a $ 2 Tuesday instead of my usual Cupcrazed visit and was pretty disappointed. If I ate less cupcakes I might be less critical Cupcrazed in Baxter blows this place away from their numerous flavors, larger quantities, better aesthetic appeal, longer shelf-life and overall quality.

I love this cupcake shop. Everything is great. My favorite is the Baileys Irish Cream Cupcake. I rarely step outside the box when it comes to cupcakes. I’m a plain Jane, vanilla or chocolate only but for some reason I could not pass on the Irish cream. I’m so glad I didn’t. This has become my favorite cupcake. Now, the only thing I dislike is the price. Sure, you get what you pay for but I don’t know, I feel like the price is a little steep. I also LOVE the frosting or white chocolate covered Oreos(it’s been a while so I can’t remember if it was frosting or white chocolate) they surely don’t slack on the sprinkles and if you are a big kid at heart, like myself, the more the better! I highly recommend this place not only for the cupcakes but for the warm and welcoming staff along with the really cool stuff in the store.

The associates are very friendly, the décor is very cute and colorful. The cupcakes are awesome, red velvet is my favorite so far. I will most definitely go back. They also do kids parties and adult ladies events.

I stopped Here to grab a dozen of cupcakes for a party. Was early that day and specifically asked if they are made fresh daily was told yes. There is no way that is the case. We had them several hours later which I kept in the box unopened and not refrigerated like they said. They were hard and dry almost like they were from the day prior. I’m a big cupcake fan and overall they didn’t have much flavor. The frosting is super sugary without any taste. I love sweet frosting but these just were not good and not at all worth the $ 32 I paid for them! The local grocery store cupcakes are fresher and better. Super disappointed because love places like sprinkles, Gigi’s, etc but this place is no where close.

I decided on a whim to stop into this simple cupcake shop in the Rivergate shopping center. My daughter had been a trooper, tramping all over town with the wife and I throughout the day, so we decided to take her for a special treat after a light dinner. Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the employee behind the counter. She finished with another customer and then began to educate us about various cupcakes in the display case. She was very engaging and went on to talk about birthday party events, etc. Her customer service was on point! The cupcakes were on special for only $ 2 each the day of our visit, but being close to closing time, they were pretty well picked over. My wife took a simple vanilla cupcake, I chose a banana cupcake, and we settled on a chocolate cupcake for our daughter. Of course we all tried a little of each. The consensus was that the banana was the best. The ingredients kept the cupcake moist, whereas the other two flavors(again having been late in the day) were quite dry. Not that any of it phased our 7 year old. She devoured the icing in seconds and let out an, «I’m done!» Predictable. In the end, my wife and I were slightly disappointed. We would consider giving them a second try though. I would just suggest going early while the goods are still fresh. The customer service was great and the little store boasts a nice atmosphere. They offer cake-pops, balloons, and a wide variety of novelty gifts as well. We were confused as to what exactly would take place if we ever held a birthday party for our daughter there. Once you sing ‘Happy Birthday’, open your gifts, decorate your cupcake with sprinkles, and eat it, what happens next? It’s a small venue and it’s not like some giant mouse is going to come out dancing with pizzas in his hand. Call me close-minded, but I’m thinking it would be a fairly lame party. Anyway, if you want to get your cupcake on, go early. it’s a cupcake shop, and in true form, cupcakes are what you’ll get.

2 $ Tuesday on cupcakes, loving that red velvet. Had a bunch of party supplies and a nice young lady waiting to serve you delicious sugary treats! Right next to BT burgers.

I like cupcakes. I’m not cupcake crazy, but sometimes a bite-sized bit of sugar and cake is a good thing. SAS in the Rivergate plaza has what I like. And more important, they have what my WIFE likes. Nearly a dozen different choices for cupcakes, not all of them are chocolate and chocolate. We liked the«eggnog» and my favorite was the«french toast» which had a cream cheese center that wasn’t crazy sweet. As well, lots of other candy items and birthday decorations which I’m sure are top sellers. Nicely done, SAS! #4200

Crazy sweet — you can only eat one. $ 3+ for 1 cupcake and it seems like the cream cheese frosted ones have less frosting. I’ve had these twice at work so I went to check out their store. It was dead on a Thursday, making you wonder how old are the cupcakes. The cakes sit out in the open behind glass, fully exposed. The cinnamon toast(?) cupcake I had was small and sweet. They were better when they were free. I wouldn’t come here on purpose.

Normally I wouldn’t post a negative review especially for a small biz. BUT wish I’d been warned before shelling out the cost for a dozen of these things for my sons bday party. The kids wouldn’t eat them and opted for the homemade cup cakes my husband made. When I tried one I could see why, they were dry and tasteless, with super sweet frosting. A complete waste.

Disgusting. Okk so a little exaggerating here but … tasted almost like paper! Cupcakes has no flavors and is super dry. Icings wayyyyyyy too sweet. Too overpriced. They looks pretty bc of the decorations but otherwise, not my favorite place for cupcakes. Had them 6 – 7 times already either friends/co-workers would buy it as a gift during the holidays/bday and everytime, it’s never good. I think they look better as a decorating item than to eat! No flavors stood out as being the best, what a waste of money.

Over priced! The ideas for the flavors are good but execution is poor. Red velvet is not white cake with red food coloring. I love sweets but I’ve made better cupcakes than this place. I guess it’s good for kids or for foodies but not for people who actually like food a certain way

When you have worked out hard and your body is weak and in pain, head on over to SAS Cupcakes! ;) Their Triple Chocolate cupcake is decadent. I like their Mint Chocolate Chip too. SAS makes their cupcakes fresh daily and does not refrigerate them. You will notice the difference immediately and return for more!

Triple chocolate cupcake. Nuff said? Nope. Their cupcakes are made fresh every am and thrown out every night. You will find seasonal flavors and a menu of classics that never go away like Triple Chocolate. They also have a frequent cupcake program for occasional freebees. Yum now go buy your Mamma some cupcakes y’all!

Love this place! Stumbled upon it as I am getting to know my new neighborhood and fell in love. I’ve seen so many cupcake shops being from New York City, but this place had a cute, girly, modern vibe and the girl at the counter was just so sweet and nice we had to buy a cupcake! Luckily we stumbled in on $ 2 Tuesday when all the cupcakes are $ 2. We went for the crowd favorite, triple chocolate and it was super yummy. Since we were new in town, the girl gave us a few coupons to come back again. So nice of her and it’s for her that I’m giving this place four stars! We’ll definitely be back!

I absolutely love the SAS in Delaware, so when I was traveling through Charlotte, I had to stop. The place is adorable, and the workers were so sweet. Not only were they helpful, but these ladies were knowledgeable and upbeat. The cupcakes are the real stars! My sister and I purchased a dozen with a wide variety. My favorites are the frangelico hazelnut and the vanilla vanilla. Although this location is far from I-85, I will glad make a pit stop on my trips from DC to Alabama.

I’ve had mixed results here. I had a chocolate mint cupcake that was truly awful. The mint icing tasted so artificial. I didn’t even finish it. Then again, I had a piña colada cake pop that was so incredibly awesome. The chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were okay. The cupcakes taste sort of mass produced and not very homemade, but they will satisfy your sweet tooth.
