We got a coupon for CKB on Thursday night, and so for the next day, I was craving some good Chinese buffet –I had never been to this one before, but it’s less than 5 min from our house, and hubs had gone once without me and said they had good chinese donuts. SOLD. So, Friday after work, hubs asks what I want to do for dinner. I suggest this place, he checks to see if I am joking around — when he realizes I am not, we pop into the car and head over! The décor inside was a lil garrish, but that’s all part of the fun, really. The steam trays were also OUTOFCONTROL — think mystery fog machine ambiance… but a few bites from the actually quite decent sushi was enough to make me happy. And the coconut shrimp?! YUM! When we paid, the waitress pointed out another coupon we could use which was BOGO! So, definitely a good value! P.S. I ate TWO chinese donuts. YES, they are better than Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet. lol.

Don’t expect a whole lot from this place. It’s ok when you are extremely hungry and in need of some food without having to wait 1 sec for your food. It covers sushi, rolls, deserts, chinese food, chinese american food and bits of dimsum and american food, so you cant really expect any of these food to be authentic. For almost $ 15/person for dinner, I’m pretty sure you can find a better place to go.

This place wasn’t bad at all. The food was good and the variety. The yeast rolls were awesome! One of the chickens I had was not so hot and I unfortunately can’t remember which one it was. I came here for the lunch buffet and left satisfied. Plus you can’t go wrong for a $ 6.95 lunch buffet.

Embarassed to say I’ve been here, but I’ll put in my 2 cents. It’s absolutely disgusting and I seriously felt like I was in a twilight zone. It’s sad when the best food at an asian buffet are the fried cheese sticks(and those were still bad — and not Asian in the least!)

CKB: Unlimited plates piled high with Chinese and Japanese food staples from their huge buffet. It has been breathed on by other people, yes, but the place seems clean enough and fresh food is regularly brought out so nothing seems stale. Check out the Mongolian Barbeque for a stir-fry bowl of your own creation, and the sushi bar for a fair selection of small hand rolls. It’s a great place to head to straight after a long tiring trip, after a day hiking Old Rag, for instance, when you don’t feel like going home to cook for yourself. Also great for replenishing energy stores after a good workout. And now they’re even better, after their«Re-Grand Opening» a couple years ago! Just be careful – you will always coming home smelling very strongly of crab legs. If you’re going home to a loved one, be aware that this is the reason why they are avoiding you.

I really do think this is why the other chinese buffet down 29 went out of business. This place is too good. They have a great hibachi grill. I love their ice-cream cooler. Try the cotton candy ice-cream! They have a good amount of food in the buffet, and it’s always hot. The ceiling is cheesy, but decorated like the night sky with actual lights. If you come around dinner time you can get snow crab legs. This place gets a good amount of locals and college students. The sushi is not bad either. If you’re really hungry, go and eat till you pass out.
