This is my favorite italian restaurant. The device is great, food is wonderful and the atmosphere serene. I love eating here and urge everyone who loves authentic to go.

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! True authentic Italian food! My Italian family and I came here after our aunts funeral and were more than impressed. Salad was delicious, food was amazing, and service was great. We live in Orange County and just might make the drive out there to come back!

Good lord! My mother and I went there at 6pm on New Years Eve and there were 5 tables in use, so about 15 not in use. The hostess asked if we had a reservation? It was a reservation only evening on the deadest night of the year. So we drove back by an hour or so later on our way home and guess what? Still empty. Stupid of a restaurant that is in business to make a profit to turn down a patron that will never go back. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

Cute family business with delicious food! The bread is warm and tastes great with their Cesar salad. I had their spinach ravioli special and loved it. It was filled with cheese and spinach topped with a tomato cream sauce. It was an excellent meal and experience.

Our friends and us enjoyed a delicious and relaxing dinner here last evening. Angelo and his family opened the restaurant in 1993(six weeks before the Northridge earthquake. Their wine and food menu is extensive, service is friendly and very accommodating and the ambiance is pleasant and comfortable. It is a small place, but roomy and not noisy. We loved the very tasty lentil soup, along with the homemade bread. Two of us enjoyed the large ricotta cheese filled ravioli with meat sauce, another really liked the tender and tasty chicken marsala and the fourth selected veal scallopini parmigiana style, which was also very good. We were not rushed and our water glasses were rarely empty. Parking is very easy, reservations aren’t a have to, but suggested just in case! So, head over to Angelo’s located on Devonshire, just west of Mason, in Chatsworth. They have a nice selection of desserts too!

Great soft warm bread with a beautiful crust. A rich caeser salad, satisfying, substantial, not a manufactured dressing, this one has love. The minestrone was teriffic! I enjoyed it very much and great Ac, super service.

Wow! Growing up in New York, I’m kind of a snob when it comes to Italian food. It’s one of my absolute favorites, but it’s so hard to find something that stands out in the Valley. Angelos’s is perfect! I ordered the Calamari Diavolo and it was the first time I cleaned the plate in years! If you’re looking for made-to-order sauces and flavor-filled dishes, this is the place!

So far I’ve enjoyed every dish I’ve tried here. The portions are big. The owner is a very nice guy and the waiter was super friendly. I’d go back for sure

So I’ve seen this place, it’s close to where we live and I wanted to try it. We like the little family owned places. Well we were disappointed. They had cloth napkins which is nice, and the waiter was nice and said he’d been there 20 years. The chef did come out and say hi to us, but very briefly. But My wife was disappointed with her dish, because the name had garlic in it, but the dish didn’t. And my dish was just average, if you don’t count the funny smell. A lady came in while we were there, and was disappointed they didn’t have pizza. My summary of this place is that it needs a «Kitchen Nightmares» revival. As other reviewers posted, the décor is mixed up and dated. The restroom was run down. It seems like the dishes are plain and they weren’t made with much passion for the price. you can see from the photos, the presentation is lacking. We won’t go back.

First tme, though came with friends who eat there. Not crowded, red tablecloths, clean, Italian backround music not obtrusive. Waiter helpful. I had ceasar salad and Mamas mix. Wife had clam linguini. Bread was warm, fresh with a nice crust, butter(not margarine) with Italian herbs(not a health hazard). Wife said sauce could have been a little thicker. Mine had a nice sauce with vegies and sausage. Rigatoni could have been a little more al dente. Ambience very nice, we could actually speak to and hear each other! After dinner we spoke with Angelo. We have a small farm in Oregon and he took the time to give us some ideas. Very kind. Will return next time in town. Reviews and experiences are taste dependent. We enjoyed this. Thank you.

This place has great food and the service is always great. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and the food has remained the same. Always good. I keep coming back every year for celebrations such as my birthday. A great mom and pop shop that remains true throughout the years. Awesome!

Great authentic Italian food served at an Italian pace. Mama’s Mess(pasta dish) can’t be beat mostly due to the delicious sausage they use.

What a disaster of a place. The bread they bring out is old and stale, I order a minestrone soup that tasted like the vegetables were still covered with soil. Horrible taste. The bolognese was tasteless watery and like a lump of leftovers the best part was their attitude when I asked for the check they didn’t care on why there were 2 full plates of food. Stay away unless the person you take there is someone you really hate

The food was delicious. I had the chicken piccata, which was nicely sized and tasting. However, the salad was a complete rip off. Although tasty, a $ 32 salad for 4 people was outrageous. It was maybe 2 heads of lettuce for a cost of $ 2? Just don’t order the salad next time, stick only to the meals and you will be happy. The décor needs updating, it is clean but boring and all green inside. Aside from décor and salad I wpuld say give it a try.

Authentic Italian, Fresh Ingredients, Cozy Atmosphere… This is the place. I have been coming here for many years and it is one of my favorites. Angelo is a wonderful chef and takes pride in everything he makes. It’s a small family owned business with great service, excellent food, and friendly staff.

The food is as old and stale as the decore… The constant Frank Sinatra /Dean Martin music seals the deal. Sure felt like 1974 — and not in a good /fun retro kind of way… The restaurant is clean — I’ll give it that. One probably won’t get sick — that doesn’t seem to be the problem. It’s just that, the smell of cleaner interlaces with the smell of food and that kind of kills the taste… Red table cloths, cheap banquet chairs, butter with Italian spices mixed in(health hazard) and bland food grace this expired strip-mall based restaurant. One sure can close their eyes and imagine Angelo’s hay-day… when Southern Italian food was all that… I ordered Chicken Parmesan. It’s a good litmus test for Southern Italian cooking because it tests several factors: 1) How well the chicken is prepped(needs to be pounded till it’s uniform to ensure even cooking and then property breaded and then cooked till just about done). 2) The quality of the marinara sauce(flavor, cooked down long enough and acid levels). 3) Quality of the cheese(and is there any real parmesan to found in the mix). 4) Properly cooked. Sadly, Angelo’s failed on the first 3 factors. 1. The chicken was not pounded — so there were thicker and thinner parts(LAZY). The Chicken was not breaded but prepped in an egg batter. This might be signature or they just ran out and used the chicken prepped for Picatta or Picante… We’ll never know but either way — it was darn flavorless. 2. The marinara sauce was what most Italians would call a «fast sauce» — cooked quickly earlier in the day with the occasional stray chunk. That means not cooked long enough. The best sauce is cooked the day before — to allow the tomato to cook-down and flavors to sink in. 3. The cheese was flopped on. It never married to the chicken because the chicken was not breaded traditionally. The dish was hot — not overcooked — thankfully. I will mention one last thing. The waiter and owner seemed to know everyone in the restaurant — and visited almost every table(the restaurant was 30% occupied). When this is the case — the owner needs to visit the table he doesn’t know — or risk making the clients feel like outsiders… Mission accomplished — they made us feel like we didn’t belong. One last thing. The chicken parmesan dish was a few cents shy of $ 18. That’s seriously over priced. I won’t be going back.

Angelo’s is a charming, non-chain, red sauce Italian restaurant where the owner personally greets you with, «Where have you been?» At Angelo’s, the bread is warm, the pasta is cooked perfectly, and the ambiance just feels like Italy. With soft music in the background and a nice glass of chianti in the foreground, it’s hard not to enjoy a delicious meal. Why no fifth star? The prices. Entrees are mostly in the $ 15-$ 20 range which was a bit much for the limited amount of delicious spaghetti on my plate. Try Angelo’s for yourself and help me decide if I enjoyed an expensive dinner or an affordable Italian vacation.

This unassuming restaurant could be quickly glossed over passing through the strip mall. It doesn’t offer a lot of thrills or frills on the outside, but once you’re in Angelo and his long time staff, put together a great intimate experience. A lot of my company’s key players were in town, so what else could we do but go out to dinner? One of our VPs has been coming to Angelo’s for a while; he always comes in whenever he’s in town. He asked Angelo to put together a dinner for about 12 of us, which he gladly accommodated. He and Jose were very friendly checking up on us, but what I noticed was that they didn’t neglect their other customers either and made sure to give due attention to every one in the restaurant. We were quite the large crowd but they accommodated us well. The starters were delicious; a traditional salad and then some prosciutto over cantaloupe. And then for the entrees he offered up the items on his menu, but really you could order anything you wanted and they would have made it. The food was fresh and very well done, I certainly enjoyed it. For dessert we had a limoncello cake which was absolutely delicious and was quickly disappeared from my plate. I’ve been on a beer kick so I stuck with that and was impressed with their selection for a small restaurant. He had the White and Amber from Alaskan and also two Italian Lagers, Peroni and Moretti. Angelo also had live music this night, which was quite nice. They played some classics and really added to the feel of the restaurant. Angelo made it extra special dressing up an a nice blue chefs coat and a red kerchief tied around his neck, very traditional looking! He also made sure to greet and speak with each one of us and make us feel welcomed. Overall it was a great experience, the food was well done(I can’t remember everything we had). It didn’t blow me away but I definitely enjoyed it and would like to have it again and see some more options. The service though put this place over and made me want to come back. I look forward to my next stop here!

Angelo’s is a wonderful little gem. First of all, I LOVE mom and pop restaurants. When a restaurant is family-owned, it makes all the difference. The service is better, the food is better, and the vibe in the place is just always so welcoming and warm. This is the reason I love Angelo’s. Plus, the food is awesome. This place is classy and makes for a perfect date night. Seriously, if you want good Italian in this part of the valley, nothing is better.
