Chicken Salad Chick

There is absolutely nothing cajun about the cajun roast beef sandwich. I could have slapped together a better sandwich with my eyes closed. It was completely flavorless.

I love chicken salad, but rarely like it when I order it as I prefer my made from scratch recipe. However, when I saw a flier for a place with 16 different chicken salad flavors, I had to try it out. It was a short walk from the Residence Inn downtown. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You walk up to the counter, place an order, and take a number to place on your table. They were sampling a new flavor — Racy Rita — at the register. I tried it and liked it enough to make it one of the 3 flavors on my chicken salad platter ($ 9 or so). This comes with 3 scoops, a pickle, and wheat crackers. The Racy Rita is spicy (and I like spicy). They said it was just Wickles Pickles bringing the heat, if so they must be some super hot pickles. It didn’t taste like pickles, btw. Very yummy. I also ordered the Luau Lydia with pineapple and macadamias, which was my second favorite. My last was Fancy Nancy with grapes, apples, and pecans. While these last two were good, they didn’t have quite enough of the fruits/​nuts for my taste. I ended up with about ¹⁄₃ of it left, which I ate the next day. It was equally good. The soup also looked really good, and they had key lime pie. I wouldn’t order sandwiches other than chicken salad there, as it is clearly their specialty. If I get back up, I’ll order 2 scoops (extra grapes/​apples please) and one of the sides which all looked great — broccoli salad, pasta salad, and grapes with cream cheese and brown sugar.

Food was good, manager just pissed me off with his reactions to a confusion on the order.

Great food choices! Their «star» food is their chicken salad (thus the name) but if that’s not your thing it’s ok as their other choices are awesome! One thing though is only ONE soup choice. :/​(. And they have nutrition info EXCEPT on the soup— everything else is great! Thanks!

As I was exploring the city alone I chose this place for a late lunch. half chicken salad sandwich and salad. It was all ok. The chicken salad was a little bland, I had to add salt and pepper. The salad was fresh made and very tasty. Would I select this place again when there are so many yummy places in this city… probably not, but still good for those that love chicken salad.

I am from Indiana. In town for a visit. This place is really good. Broccoli salad is amazing. Pasta salad is good. fruit cut is fresh. and the chicken salad sandwich is great.

I love this place! Everytime I come to Chattanooga I make a stop here and I usually don’t even like chicken salad. There are probably 15 or so different flavor options and if you get the chicken salad on a sandwich theres about 5 different bread options to choose from. I usually do the Classic Chick combo which includes the sandwich, one side, and a cookie… so add a bottle of water to that and you’ve got yourself a delicious lunch for about $ 11. You can also select a combo that has two sides or you can do a sandwich and soup/​salad option so there are many different options. The service is always friendly and it only takes a couple of minutes for the food to come out so its an easy stop if you are on a short lunch break. You can also order ahead and park down the side street for carryout only parking.
They recently (i think) created a smart phone app that you can scan a QSR code on your receipt to get reward points to put towards merchandise or future food goodies. Everyone’s got a smart phone these days so why not cash in for some rewards?

I have had the classic carol and the nutty nana. Both are delicious, as is the broccoli salad – and free choc chip cookie!
Their pimento cheese is also good. I’m just not a huge fan of pimento cheese in general.

Great selection of chicken salad. Went at noon and there was a line but it moved really fast. Plenty of tables. Very clean and friendly staff. Food tasted great and I recommend for a good light lunch that won’t slow you down.

This place was fantastic– just what I wanted at that moment. I love chicken salad, and theirs was great! Friendly staff, cute décor, good music, relaxed atmosphere, and great prices.

It’s ok but it’s just Chicken Salad. Funny, I’ve actually had better chicken salad on Delta Airlines. It had chucks of chicken which was surprisingly good though you wouldn’t expect it to be. I have to admit that this place inspires me to open the Spam based restaurant I’ve always dreamed of!

Very good food at good prices. However, their Fruity Fran tends not to have but 1 or 2 grapes and sometimes none. Rather disappointing. I feel they are cheating me on purpose to save money when they advertise grapes and I barely get any (but there are always plenty of apples). Add more of the food you promise and the stars will go up.

This place is dank for sure. Mad props to the chicken, thanks again to the salad but I’m not sure who the chic is? Anyways. The toilet paper was a bit on the tree bark side but other than that it was an amazing culinary experience and a magical adventure for my taste bud’s

After wanting to try this place for so long, it finally happened today and I was most certainly not disappointed! Stopped by this afternoon when it was not very busy. Nice, clean, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Our food came out in about 2 minutes! Very fast! My wife had the classic Carol, I had the barbeque, and we both had the grape salad. All of it was refreshing, lite and healthy. We were both pleased and plan on going back soon.

Well if you don’t like chicken salad, yes there are a few other sandwich option but i think you’re wasting you’re lunch trying to avoid there strengths. I had the original with pasta salad and a cookie. Chicken salad was awesome! Mine i had a but of spice and buffalo. Definitely coming back to try many of their other seasonings! Really great location downtown with outdoor seating. Parking is probably difficult; i got lucky with an empty meter.

Great food and a cool atmosphere.
So many chicken salad choices that it will take me many visits to try them all.
