Our first room was extremely musty smelling because the wall AC unit needs to be cleaned! Staff changed our room and was very apologetic. Second room was better with less of a musty smell. Room was clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast is provided, and is descent. Common areas in the hotel are warm or not air-conditioned. The pool is small with no hot tube. But the hotel is close to the area attractions that we were here to see. Overall, not bad but room for improvement.

Great experience. The hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, and our room was updated. Complimentary breakfast include hot items like eggs and sausage and above average. The best thing about this hotel might have to be the price and location. Rates are cheaper than downtown Chattanooga hotels but only a few miles away without even having to get on the Interstate.

Had to stay here for a night on my way to Ft. Payne Alabama coming from Chattanooga. I have stayed in worse hotels. Waited 1o minutes to get checked in because no one was in the lobby. The girl came in from outside, jumped over the counter, smiled and said sorry. I said«ok». check-in still took another 10 minutes and was not greeted as a platinum member nor received and welcome gift or points. Room smelled musty, bed was hard, and bathroom needed some updating. but the room did its job… lol I woke up with no bug bites. There is absolutely nothing around with the exception of a cracker barrel, mcdonalds, and taco bell. So if your hungry and don’t like that get something before you arrive. Price was under $ 90 — Its ok to stay for a night I guess — but any longer than that I would have checked out.

Wow! Usually stay in high end hotels so I was not expecting much. Walked in to be greeted by Jeremiah. He gave us a run down if the local attractions etc. let us know there was FREE full service breakfast, wifi, and coffee. Left my phone at the desk and he called me in my room immediately. As soon as I went back to get my phone he was baking cookies for guests. How cute!!! Rooms were clean and modern. Awesome beds. Could not ask for more for such a cheap price!

Newly remodeled! Very clean! We stayed here this past weekend while in Chatt for the UTC graduation festivities. The hotel is newly remodeled at least on the 3rd floor where we stayed. A couple of odd things though. Two of our lamps didn’t have light bulbs in them. Additionally, the doors were freshly lacquered and they did it pretty sloppily. There were dabs of lacquer on the bathroom floor. Also, the drain in the tub was broken and didn’t even attach. They seem to have improved but they definitely did it on a budget and it shows. The high point, the beds were comfortable and the A. C was nice and cold.

The room was just what we needed after a day of driving — clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing to write home about — just lots of microwaveable fare with few healthy options.

Great place for the price! We booked on a discount site in advanced and were very pleased with the cleanliness and nice front desk staff. The breakfast was great too. I’d go back.

This hotel is situated right off I-24, so it is noisy outside, but sound proof inside. It also practically shares the parking lot with CRACKERBARREL, TACOBELL&COUNTRYINN&SUITES. And this was less than 5 minutes from RACCOONMOUNTAINCAVERNS! Entering into the lobby, we were greeted by what seemed a younger staff(under 30) and what a fantastic impression they gave. Check in was smooth. And the directions to our room were great. We booked online thanks to TRIPADVISOR. Our room was a first floor room directly across the indoor pool. And we chose this pool because it was indoor. However, we couldn’t use it on our visit because it wasn’t heated yet.(reason for not getting 5 stars) The room was immaculate and had beautiful, soothing colors. The bathroom was spotless but dated. And the television was still the old school tube type. The hot, full breakfast was better than expected. The menu included juices, yogurt, milk, coffee, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bagels, wheat bread, English muffins, bananas and a pancake maker. Impressive! I would stay here again because of the rooms and staff. However, the next time I stay at a hotel and am looking specifically for an indoor heated pool, I will call ahead to make sure it is working. It really was the ONLY bad thing.

My parents SWEAR by Holiday Inn Express, if you can get a newer hotel, so when my fiancé and I had to make an unexpected stop in Chattanooga, we decided to look one up. This one had reasonable rates and solid reviews on TripAdvisor, so we stayed for the night. I am not sure if this was an older hotel that was converted to the HI Express format– it would make sense, as the building seemed pretty old and worn out. Our room was pretty clean, but the sink and the tub and the floor all looked old and beat-up. I had a scary experience when I saw a giant pile of dust under the sink and thought it was a bug(just to be clear, it was not). The staff was pretty friendly and I guess we could have stayed at a worse place, given the last minute nature of our reservation, but I will think twice before booking a HI Express in the future.

This place is fairly typical for HI Express hotels. The rooms were adequate and nothing special. We made several requests from housekeeping. The requests were not met, however, the requests were quickly resolved by the front desk. The front desk was very responsive to all requests and problems we had. In fact, we were offered clothes drying by their staff after we found that a just-washed load could not be dried in the public dryer. They even folded our clothes for us. As to the«full» breakfast offered, it was good except for the day it was not«full.» If you offer a full breakfast, you should provide a full breakfast. The day being a Sunday should not mean«no meat items.» Although I rated this hotel with 3 stars, the front desk deserves a well-earned 4 stars.
