Taco Del Mar

Every time my family has gone, the girls behind the counter complain about the number of fish tacos we order. Last August, I was so offended by the rudeness and food shaming that I complained to the corporate office. They sent me a $ 10 gift certificate to apologize. It was 8 months before we went in to redeem it. And guess what happened? The girl raised her eye brows when I ordered 8 fish tacos and said, «Are you serious? You must have a big family.» I have never been treated like such an inconvenience. Make sure to order lots of fish tacos when you go on Fridays, regardless of how unmotivated the employees are to cook more fish.

Customer service was ok the attitude behind it could have been sweeter. But at least they were willing to accommodate my special diet.

The yummiest fish tacos around. You can’t beat Taco Del Mar for fast food and great taste. The staff there is always quick, on point and precise. Just writing this review is making me hungry for a fish taco… okay bye

Me and my husband decided to give this place a try again after having bad customer service the first time. Today when we went in there I would have to say that they haven’t improved much in that area. The gal with short brown hair who was rude the last time was once again not a very pleasant person to deal with. It doesn’t matter how the food is when the service is bad and the dining area is a mess, with no clean tables.

I’ve been to Taco del Mar before at other locations and was impressed with the freshness of the food… until I came to this one. Disappointing. The ingredients just didn’t have the «fresh» taste of other locations I have been to. I ordered two chicken tacos, one in a soft shell and one in a hard shell. You did get your choice of hard or soft shell. I asked for one of each and was happy they didn’t charge extra for that. But I was disappointed in this location as compared to other locations.
I was in my RV, I parked at the Wal-​Mart across the street. But you could park on this side of the street as this is in a strip mall location.

Fast and friendly, Mike’s burrito was huge even by TDM standards and my fish tacos were similarly lavishly adorned. Was happy to find a TDM while passing through chehalis.
There was a rush on right after we got there and I couldn’t tell how service was holding up, but the line appeared to be moving well.

Great food! Great value! Great service. Will go back every time on our way to Great Wolf Lodge!

This place has the best fish tacos. Their food is very fresh and flavorful. The service is always quick. They have had some not so great people working there in the past but usually they don’t stay long. And their prices are really affordable. Oh yes their burritos are huge and yummy.

It has been a long time since I have offered a one star review. In the words of Tommy Boy, ‘it is not a grade that they like to give out.’ I would avoid this Taco Del Mar like a health report F (see how I spun that…).
The two ladies behind the counter both seem to not only hate their job, but hate their coworker. The manager or maybe even owner was constantly making cutting and uncomfortable comments to the other about her work ethic. Funny part, was she was no super star either. It made me super uncomfortable, like being at your friends house when you friend was getting in trouble. I was not sure where I was supposed to be looking or if I should have crept out of the line. At one point while we were eating the manager looking lady yelled to everyone in line ‘Does anyone want fish tacos? If you don’t say something now you can’t have them.’ I think this was in reference to her not wanting to make two trips to the freezer to get fish.
Next nightmare… the food. Because these ladies care so little about their job, it definitely comes through in the food. We ordered 4 items each having their own issue. The quesadilla was over cooked. The fish tacos were mostly coleslaw. They also put on the wrong salsa. The worst item was the nachos. The cheese was not melted. In order to melt the cheese they steam the nachos making the chips loose their crunch. The lettuce was old and browned.
In the words of the priest in Nacho Libre ‘this is the worst lunch I have ever had.’ I am sure that I am now going to have ‘diarrhea until Easters’.
What did I learn today? This is not Rubios.

Great food, terrible service. Do not visit this establishment if you expect decent service.
All 3 girls working walked by my family (the only people in the restaurant) at least twice before one finally offered to help us. All 3 acted like we were a huge inconvenience to them.
On a good note their food is always fresh and great. I unfortunately was not offered a sour cream or guacamole for my mondo burrito, then offered sides of both for an extra cost at the end.
The only reason this place got 2 stars from me is because of the food.

Good food… bad service. Girl was rude that helped me because I couldn’t hear what she said. I wouldn’t talk to a customer like that. Won’t go back because of bad service.

There was mold on the to-​go containers and terrible customer service. Wish I would have gone to another restaurant near-​by. Owner was incredibly rude and tried to find ways to increase the price.

Great mondo burrito! Service was fast and the burrito was amazing! There chips and salsa are also incredible if you have room after the mondo burrito.

Sloppiest burrito wrap ever. About one third to one half of the contents fell out. I’m giving you three stars this time, but since this place is like the only healthy fast food mexican joint in Chehalis/​Centralia I’ll be stopping by next time I’m hungry and driving thru on I-​5. Everything else was great: the food was delicious and fast and healthy. But practice your wrapping skills! I expect greatness upon my return!

The food was cold, soggy and had nearly no flavor. I felt very rushed by the ladies working behind the counter, they didn’t say hello or greet us or offer to help us with the menu (we had never been there before). When i went to pay I had counted out 13 cents which one penny fell, bounced off the counter into the guacamole behind the glass. I felt so terrible, I apologized profusely while another employee then proceeded to scoop the penny out of the guacamole with her hand and continued serving it to other customers in line. The service and food was really disappointing and it made me not want to go there again.

Very good food, fresh and hot just like its suppose to be. Service was very good too. Of special note is the 10% discount for veterans. Much appreciated. I’ll be back!!!

I love this Taco Del Mar. The food is fresh, healthy, fast, and delicious. The staff who work at this Taco Del Mar are both friendly and efficient. The place is always clean and they have smoking deals! Taco Tuesday is one of my favorite deals — two tacos and a side of rice/​beans and a drink for 5.49! Hard to beat. The food is plentiful — I can barely eat mine and am always full for the rest of the day. Great value for your money!
The only negative about this place is that it is always freeeeeeezing — no matter what time of day it is or what month. Turn the air conditioning down or include free sweatshirts with your meals.
