This particular company was sent to diagnose my standby 8kw generac generator. A tech did in fact come to my house. I received a phone call from their tech stating that my generator engine was seized. I was told that the cause of this was whatever lubricant that was used in my engine by the company that serviced the machine(not Coleman Light and Power) had caused the engine to seize. That it was not repairable and I would either have to replace the engine, or purchase a new unit. So I did purchase a new unit. A $ 2000 set back. The company that did the install(not Coleman) arrived, i asked them if they could take the old one away, they did so, for a small fee. New one installed, I was happy, so I thought. A few days later I received a phone call from the company that installed my new unit. They told me they really wish I had requested them to look at it first before removing it. That it was in fact fixable, and that the machine was actually up and running! It appears to me that the tech was either not capable, or just didnt take the proper time to look my machine over. Not happy! Awaiting word from the owner, Kris Coleman to discuss the issue. More to come
