What to say about my local D’Angelo? Well, like everything else in Billerica, this location is in a hideous little strip mall. They’re a little behind the times with their look, still sporting the old school green sign when the rest seem to have gone to the classier looking brown one. There’s a ton of seating, though this is unnecessary since the parking lot holds only about 8 cars, meaning there’s never a chance this place would fill up. The ample seating does mean, however, that you can spread out very far from the other patrons, making inappropriate conversations out of earshot of children and the elderly much easier to have. I actually think the sandwiches here are pretty good. My turkey club last week had a very generous amount of bacon and the chicken bomb-like one I had recently was very tasty. Service is just a tad slow if you get a hot sandwich, but they seem to be pretty quick with the cold ones. The past couple times I’ve been one of the workers even stopped by our table to ask how our sandwiches were. Not something you see too often at fast food places. A nice touch. A few more likes/dislikes about this place: –Like that they have Coke Zero in the soda fountain –Like that you can order a small, medium, or large sub, unlike at Subway where it’s 6″(sometimes not big enough) or 12″(sometimes way too big) –Don’t like the fact that it’s $ 2.29 to add a small bag of chips and a fountain drink to your meal. That is a rip off.
