I’ve had their delicious hoagies but recently tried a breakfast hoagie. Pork roll egg and cheese on a hoagie roll is outstanding. Glad to see it reopened.

Yay! Re-opened! It’s a miracle! Great hoagies, made fast. Are they the cheapest in the world? No. Are they the best? Yup. So, so, so, so so happy this gem is back. Super-quick service, even if you don’t call ahead — they know your lunch hour is a-wastin’. Picnic tables in the back yard for dining al fresco on nicer days.

A big welcome back to the recently re-opened Divello’s Deli! The buffalo tail salad is a favorite of mine and my wife. Crisp lettuce, mildly spicy(yet tasty) chicken tenders(that we request with extra wing sauce because we like things spicy). So glad to have it back. Quick tip to the owner(s), you may want to update your status as open when you get moment away from feeding the adoring masses. Also, it’s almost impossible to find your phone number with a Google search. We got lucky and found a menu online with an image search. Unless you like being a hidden gem, which has it’s merits. But most searches redirect to the Medford location.

Hands down the best sandwiches in South Jersey. I eat here twice a week and whenever my family visits from out of town, DiVello’s is the first stop. I highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and great service!!!

I give up on DiVellos. Been a customer for 25+ years and they’ve gone steadily downhill. Picked up some hoagies today and the rolls seemed stale. I don’t think they even put seasonings or olive oil on the hoagies any more. I found them pretty tasteless. The guy that works the cash register is generally polite enough to not offend, but doesn’t go out of his way to make you want you to go back. After all these years, I’m moving on to find a better hoagie.

I don’t know if it was a bad day for them. I walk in and wasn’t greeted. I was stare at for 10 min before asking if they can help me. After placing my order I felt like I wasn’t welcome there. I felt so uncomfortable that I had to just leave.(I was the only none Caucasian there. It’s wasn’t even crowed and everybody else was greeted)

I made two mistakes here today. 1. I didn’t realize it was cash only. 2. I didn’t look at the prices on the menu. On my way back to work from an assignment, I decided I did not want Subway. I knew DiVello’s was on the way in, so I made a pit stop for the very first time. After a quick glance at the menu, I ordered my two deli usuals: a chicken salad sandwich with bacon and an Italian hoagie. After a very short wait, I was called up and attempted to hand over my credit card. Turns out that they have an ATM on site, though of course I would have had to pay more for that. I did, however, have $ 15 in cash on me, which I thought would have been enough, but the total came to $ 17. For a sandwich and a hoagie and nothing else. What? Thankfully, I was told to just come back in to pay the $ 2 since the ATM would charge me $ 2 to withdrawal. I thought that was a really nice and considerate move on the deli’s part. Of course, I will stop back in to pay it ASAP and pick up some cold cuts and chicken salad, but I have to say that I’ll likely stick to other area delis for sandwiches.

Blah. Nothing spectacular here. Mediocre rolls and stingy with the mediocre meats and cheeses. Can’t eat in. They gripe about delivering. If I were to give a compliment here they have awesome crab fries. But it’s not worth the hassle and traffic in this awkward spot. CASHONLY? WTF. You can use a credit card at a flea market. But not at a sandwich shop? Really.

I have buddies in the military that complain when they are overseas(or in New Mexico) that they can’t find a good italian deli. DiVello’s may be able to pacify a person in those locales, but not 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia! I feel like I got fooled into going to DiVello’s. I pass the nondescript building on Kresson Rd all the time. A sign hanging out front recently caught my eye: «Named Best Cheesesteak by Phila Inquirer.» Well, that can’t possibly be true, because DiVello’s is the definition of average. Because I was hoping to find a gem so close to my house, I tried a number of items off the menu. Here goes: — Chessesteak: Nothing special about this skimpy, blah attempt at the region’s most famous sandwich. If blindfolded, I would have guessed it was WaWa Cheesesteak on a much doughier roll. — Hoagie: Many area locations miss the mark by using unremarkable bread and unremarkable lunchmeat. DiVello’s is one of those places. — Wings: Ok wings. Sauce was decent, but they were limp… no crispy wings here. Prices are on the high end compared to most delis, and they only take cash.

If this place were located in a third world state like Texas, then maybe it would be OK. But it’s not. It’s in NJ where you can find great hoagies. You get a Wawa sub here. Mediocre bread and they’re stingy with the main ingredient. Cash only. It’s 2012, and it’s cash only. I live a few blocks away. I will get in my car and drive to Chick’s for a cheesteak or to Amato bros., Carmen’s, or Pascale’s to get a hoagie, passing right by DiVello’s

Varies. I think the sandwiches are expensive($ 9) but large. I could really split it and eat half later. Quality is better than breadboard, but I’m not a big fan of the shredded lettuce either way. Couple tips though: 1. Call ahead with your order. 2. Bring cash because they don’t take credit cards. 3. Plenty of parking, but can be tricky getting out(a little better with the traffic light installed).

DiVello’s was a great place. Just realized it closed. A sign on the door says«Thanks for 36 years.» Don’t why it closed, but it’ll be missed.

Service here is hit or miss. They can be too busy sometimes since they are way over-rated. The food here is actually pretty good. The $ 8 hoagies and cheese steaks could use more meat. Not cheap. Do not order fries for pick up as they often refuse to cook them until you arrive even when you ask them do so while placing the order. Then when you arrive for to pick, if it’s busy it can take 20 minutes or more. takes forever. Such a shame as the fries are great. Go up the road to Arnie’s instead. Much better.

Di Vello’s is a great spot in South Jersey. I always make sure to stop here when I am working in the area. I have never had anything from the deli that hasn’t been great. Such a wide variety and all the ingredients are very fresh. I HIGHLY recommend Di Vello’s. Larry is always working at lunch time and definitely takes pride in taking care of the customer.

Ask anyone who lives in the area and they will likely know and love Divello’s deli. They make some of the best subs anywhere around here. Great bakery bread, fresh meats and fixins. They make a really good cheesesteak, and the buffalo chicken salad is awesome! They also have a lot of good cold salads, stuffed cherry peppers, cheeses and other Italian treats. They don’t deliver, but they are one of those places that doesn’t have to, cause you’ll still drag your butt over there for a real hoagie!

Best Cheesteak, 2007 Courier Post. That aside, their Hoagies are the best. It’s all in the roll, and their roll’s are tremendous. Chewy enough, but not huge. Order the hoagie«gutted»(they’ll pull out the extra bread inside the roll) Italian Hoagies are the best in South Jersey. Just the right amount of meat & cheese so you can eat a whole hoagie without needing a nap afterwards. The prices have increase and the subs are about $ 7.50 ea., but well worth it. Other notable Hoagie locations: Carmen’s Bellmawr, NJ — great subs, but huge. Need to split w someone. Very heavy on the meat, good rolls. Excellent subs, huge variety. Buffalo chicken sub w/oil & vinegar is probably the best sub ever — not too hot at all. Bread Board Plus, Haddonfield NJ. again, great subs, good roll. Smaller portion than carmens
