Yeah. so let me put my review before I forget. The good: Great sinigang The bad: Microwaved dishes(They’ll microwave your food in a Styrofoam plate, wished it was on a real plate if you know what I mean), expensive and portions are less(worst in the whole NJ area for portions), 50⁄50 of the foods are bland. Go somewhere else

Let me write my review before I forget. This statement is the same way I will describe Fiesta Bistro; «Get me the food now and I will go.» shall I say my motto when it comes to most Filipino restaurants. The setting of the dining area is like a sit down menu restaurant. Don’t assume that they will cook for you as you order. There is no set menu but a set up, already cooked food display in buffet bar. Although Filipino food is influenced by Chinese and Spanish, Filipino food cannot be cook right away which is similar to how Spanish food is prepared and cooked. Filipino foods cannot be stir fry and requires a lot more preparation and cooking time than Chinese fast food. Thus, the easiest way to serve it to people is to offer them in a buffet style. This is not the reason though why restauranteur in Filipino food business can’t cook and serve on time. The cooks could probably cook Filipino foods as they are ordered from the menu but I doubt it. Most likely, they are not cooked at the moment, pre-cooked, and just taking time to reheat them. That’s the fact and unfortunately, you have to know it. So… that is why you would hardly find a sit down Filipino restaurant that survives and/or in operation. FB has been in business since 1993; incredibly, this eatery is staying in business. Filipinos who don’t have time to cook after hard long work, ‘drive thru’ to this small restaurant. I must apologize now that I can’t even remember what were the dishes I had, but let me describe them the best I can. Hint 1: It seemed like Spanish food; Hint 2: It was super sweet because of plaintain bananas; Hint 3: It had lots of soy sauce with potato wedges and chopped beef cubes. At $ 3.50 for a pint, this dish looked like a melted ‘dark chocolate’ because of its color and texture. I wish that I did not pick it from the buffet bar. The second dish I had was chicken with some sort of thick yellow sauce but not curry. Once again, I don’t know the name of the dish. This one — I liked it very much. The third dish was also chicken. It has mustard green leafy vegetable and it was very citric. This one too was very good. If you like Filipino food and you don’t mind that they are already cooked then, all you have to do is choose, pay, and eat in or to go and you can fiesta at this joint. Probably, the wise thing to do is to sample. If the person is nice, she/he will be okay with it.

Do not get me wrong Fiesta Bistro cooks good sinigang and the best Whole Suckling Pig your mouth will ever gnaw this side of the globe, they do have a couple of missed freethrow shots: They do not accept credit cards /debit cards. When you order for food you have to go there personally no Phone in Orders and especially Lechon(2 weeks ahead of time!!!) Yawny place, It seems the owner just has this business on the side and has already no desire to improve her store or her service. The selection is predictable. They are probably 15% pricier than Tropical. Go for the Lechon if you have 200 bucks for a 35 pounder pig. make sure you call 2 weeks before or cancel that birthday date.
