Been coming here for years and never once had a bad meal. Sushi is amazing, and their salad dressing is great too. High quality food for a good price. The chocolate covered fortune cookies are amazing! Chicken lo mein is great, and so is the fried rice(all options).

Love this place. Best lunch specials in the area. Great and fresh sushi and choc covered fortune cookies. There’s one waiter there who’s always Ina bad mood(guy with longer hair) he’s been there for years so I just cross my fingers we don’t get him. But they have great soups! Good portions and I never get tied of this place. I’ll be there with a big group this weekend!

My husband and I stopped here last night for dinner. Years ago we used to eat here all of the time, and were in the neighborhood so decided to stop in again. We were seated to the right, in the section near the waterfall display. After our food arrived, I noticed a cockroach crawling on the wall next to my husband. I immediately notified a worker, who proceeded to reach across our table and dinners and kill it with a napkin. He told us he would get the manager, and I gave him back my food because I was incredibly nauseous. As the manager was standing there telling us that he will take my food off of the bill, another cockroach climbed from under the table to the top. At that point he said he would comp our whole meal and asked if we would like to switch tables. My husband was almost finished his food and unfortunately became nauseous as well. It is so disgusting that they have bugs, and if two were out in the dining room imagine how many are in the kitchen or other dark places of the restaurant. I will never return, and suggest no one goes. They way that it was handled was completely foul, to have a man reach over us to kill a bug and then nonchalantly ask if we would like to switch tables. We ended up not being charged for anything, and rightfully so. I am considering calling the Department of Health.

Ive been here, because my friend recommended this one. I love sushi and sashimi…(I prefer sashimi) So Ive been a lot of japanese restaurant. This one is one of my best… I live in North NJ, I couldn’t find any good sashimi stuff. When I went to cherry hill to meet my friend, i went this one. Food is fresh and tastey. The price was reasonable. I tried other Chinese food too. In my opinion, I still love sashimi. Hehe

Sushi is some of the freshest in the area. Can’t beat their quality if you like raw fish. It’s not frozen or fishy like most of the other sushi joints around, which is rare for the east coast. I recommend the forest hill roll. So good! Has a little bit of a kick to it too. As far as chinese food, the pad thai is really good too. Perfect place to just catch up with friends or have a quiet little date.

I was taken here last night by a local resident who raves about the place. What I ordered off of the very small Chinese section of the menu was very good. My only complaint is that I ordered two entrees(so that I would have leftovers the next day) but was only given ONE small bowl of rice for both dishes. When they packaged my leftovers, they did not include rice with each dish… instead, they only gave me the tiny remaining bit of rice that was left. I found to be unfavorable since, again, I had ordered TWO entrees.

Came here for dinner and had an okay experience. I ordered the green salad with ginger dressing, gyoza, tempura, the tamago(egg) sushi, and the berry mousse for dessert. The salad was very big and was pretty good in taste, though a bit overdressed and wanting of some more cucumbers and tomatoes. It was good but not anything impressive. I personally did not like the gyoza very much; it did not taste like Japanese gyoza. The tempura was relatively good. I did not like the tamago sushi; the egg was fried, which is odd, and everything kept on falling apart. The berry mousse was not bad, but definitely not good either. When it came out, some of it was still frozen. The décor and atmosphere were not very elegant and felt a bit cheap. Overall, the food was not awful, but not great.

Went to eat here for lunch. Upon entering, I was greeted with a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the special roll combination which included miso soup, salad, and two special rolls for $ 17.00. The miso soup was very tasty and delivered timely. The salad was overdressed a bit. For the two special rolls, I ordered the spicy Phoenix roll and the dragon Phoenix roll. Both were tasty but I personally preferred the spicy Phoenix. The service was very friendly and the waitress was attentive. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience.

Had a party for my daughter in their private room 2 years ago and left disappointed because of poor organization and service they gave us. Decided to give them another shot and booked another party in January 2015. Made sure to come in and speak with both owners twice about what my needs and expectations were. Picked the most expensive banquet menu they had and added a few things to it, willing to pay a few more dollars a person, hoping that would insure the quality. Another disappointment! The food came out very slow in the beginning while my guests were the hungriest. The food I paid extra for never made its way to the table(but they sure billed me for it!!!). The service was poor, we only had 1 waiter most of the time for the party of almost 50 people. Neither of the owners(who knew I was unhappy with the previous party, but was willing to try again!) came to me once to see how things were going ! Seriously? Never again. This restaurant may be ok to serve customers that just stop by for dinner, but can not handle larger parties. They are dishonest, unorganized, and poorly managed!

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. The whole fried fish is a must try.

The food is above average Asian style cuisine. Ingredients are fresh and the dishes have a nice balance of familiarity and inventiveness. Unfortunately the service is absurdly slow. On a Saturday night with steady, but not remarkable traffic we waited 70 minutes from placing out order to receiving our food. No explanation was given. The food was impacted by the delay which is a shame because the double duck is probably quite delicious if it is served fresh and hasn’t had time to congeal. Likewise the wasabi shrimp are probably amazing when served in a crispy jacket of flash fried coating instead of the non descript sogginess we shared. Would not recommend.

I have never written a review for a restaurant before but this restaurant has me fuming. We ordered take-out 2 years ago and they shorted us 3 rolls. We picked up our order on the way back from the airport. I called when I got home and told them they shorted us, while they asked if I wanted to come back, I said no, it’s ok, just make a record of the error, we will come back. When we went back, they argued we were only owed 1 roll. We haven’t been back in 2 yrs until tonight. We decided to give them another chance. We ordered and they shorted us 2 rolls. This time, I took a picture!!! My husband went back, I didn’t want a credit, we will never be back, I want my money back. The owner was so rude and said we were wrong, he checked the order himself. Ha! We had the picture. He actually accused us of eating one of the rolls! I have never met a ruder restaurant owner in my life. The sushi sucks and it’s kind of fishy too. If I turn one customer away from this rotten restaurant, I will feel my fight wasn’t in vain.

After living by Sakura Spring for, oh, 9 years, we finally tried it tonight for take-out. I was impressed as I walked into the place — it has a much nicer interior that you’d expect from the view from the outside. But that’s about where the quality ends. We ordered General Tso’s chicken(yeah, I know), Pad Thai, and yellowtail and scallion sushi rolls. The GT chicken was awful, like it had been scooped from a buffet at the fast food Chinese place in the student center in college(the broccoli was fresh, however). The Pad Thai was ok — that was the highlight of the meal, though the shrimp in the pad thai with shrimp were tiny. The sushi was terrible — the fish was not fresh and it completely lacked flavor. We finally tried it out on the advice of a friend who has a family member who loved it. Hopefully this review will help you make a better decision! Hong Kong Fusion is a better choice for Chinese food, though it is considerably more expensive. Megu Sushi is usually very good as well. I think we’ll stick to them.

Second trip to Sakura Spring and it is still very good. I’ve been looking for years for a chinese place that serves food as good as I used to get back in VA and this place is pretty close AND they serve sushi. The prices are a little high for the specialty rolls, but everything else seems to be within range of the norm. We had some friends over so we ordered a large variety of items; General Tso, Choy Yun Fried Rice, House Special Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles, Vegetable Lo Mein, Egg Rolls, Steamed Dumplings and a Volcano Roll. The first time I got sushi there it was pretty good. The volcano roll was a little disappointing(mainly since the tuna on the inside was cooked and not raw) and the spicy tuna on top was not very spicy at all. The General Tso was close to what I remember from VA, but the dumplings were the biggest disappointment. My wife and I usually order the dumplings from every place we eat at and these were well below average. The pork filling, while tasty, was encased in an extremely doughy wrapper. I think some places don’t understand that when you steam dough it swells up so the dough itself needs to be thinner than one would think in order to achieve a true balance. Nonetheless, we will be back, but won’t be ordering the dumplings.

Sakura Spring used to be amazing. My sister and I would visit almost weekly because we were so enamored with the sushi. Lately, though, the quality of the food has spiraled downward. I’ve visited a couple of times in the past year and my visits have never surpassed sub-par. After our last experience, we realized that our palates much prefer being treated at Megu. Devastatingly, Sakura is no longer the delight that it used to be.

6 of us went to Sakura Spring for my Mothers Birthday on a Thursday night. I was able to «check in» with Unilocal for a $ 10 discount for a purchase of $ 40 or more. We took our own wine and beer since alcohol is not served here. We ordered 4 appetizers with the lettuce wraps being the favorite of the table. I ordered the green curry chicken which was slightly spicy but was actually a brown sauce… not sure if my order got mixed up… the chicken was tender and perfect and the meal was liked by all… despite the mild spice even after asking for spicy. My sister had the Shrimp Pad Thai and thought it was the best she had ever had… I thought it smelled a bit fishy myself… almost like they added fish flavor to the dish. My wife had the Mongolian Beef… tender beef and great sauce. Another guest ordered Mooshoo Chicken which turned out to be surprisingly well prepared. Everyone in the party was happy with their selection and felt their meal was good to above average. The service was excellent, attentive, and not hurried… hope I get the same server next time but I think I will sample some of the other dishes.

What we ordered: — Crispy String Bean Tempura, $ 5.95 — Black Pepper Tuna?(forgot the name), $ 9 — Pop-Up Roll, $ 11.95 — Volcano Roll, $ 11.95 — Caterpillar Roll, $ 11.95 — Shrimp Tempura Roll, $ 5ish — Chicken Tempura Roll, $ 5ish + $ 3 ‘upgrade’ for all three of us, which included the usual salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. FYI, you have to order two or more special rolls for the ‘upgrade.‘ Anyway, we enjoyed everything the first time around. My favorites were the ginger dressing on the salad, which was unique and addicting, and the black pepper tuna because it was literally boasting with flavor! Despite one of the servers serving our salads and miso soups AFTER our apps were served, service was attentive and friendly. Ambiance and décor of the resto was nice. Most importantly, you get $ 10 off $ 40 or more when you check-in on Unilocal! FYI: They have private rooms for large parties of all sorts and karaōke.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Just had an awful experience with the take out that has ended my relationship with what used to be(up until a few months ago) a great eating establishment in Cherry Hill. When my wife and I arrived home after picking up the sushi(a disaster in itself — see below), we opened one of the boxes and what we saw was horrendous. The avocado had was rotten, one roll was just a shell of a shrimp tempura with nothing else, there was supposed to be crab meat on the rolls but the crab meat was just shoved in the corner of the box. I have pictures of the sushi which I wish I could share. It was horrific. I’m usually not one to take food back but this was completely unacceptable so I took a drive back to show them what we had just paid for. When I arrived back at the restaurant there was literally no one there and I had to go into the kitchen to find someone(the same guy that had made my «sushi»). I showed him the box and pointed out everything listed above. I had explained to him that I had been coming there for roughly two years and used to love the place. Instead of offering any apology or explanation(especially about the shrimp tail roll or the spoiled avocado) he started calling me ridiculous and blamed me for their terrible sushi. I asked to speak with the manager and he said he was the manager(given that this guy can’t even manage to avoid putting spoiled avocado on a sushi roll, I can understand why the place is going down hill). Our conversation did not end well and I’m likely not to return. I also wanted to add a note about the lack of service my wife and I received when we arrived to pick up the sushi. We were the only people in the restaurant as we waited for our sushi but not a single one of the four staff members greeted us, came over to us and asked if we could be helped. Once the sushi was ready it just sat up on the counter for a few minutes until I had to go up and ask if I could pay for the sushi and go. It seemed as if it was a bother for anyone to ring me up for the ridiculously pricey food(3 rolls for $ 38). In short — the sushi was disgusting(and downright inedible) and the service was horrendous. I strongly recommend AGAINST eating here.

My wife is Asian and considers this one of the better Asian restaurants in the area. The Chinese and Fusion foods are always good. The menu is big and they have seasonal specials. It is not a Japanese restaurant so sushi at a Japanese specific restaurant may be different. The food is always fresh, the place is really beautiful inside and the staff is very friendly.
