This is a great store in Cheshire run by a friendly family. Jim, who manages the beer really knows his stuff. If you really want to learn about beer, talk to Jim. He’s really well versed in all things hoppy. Their selection of beer is very impressive. They have the regulars, along with a lot of micros. Plenty of variety! The store itself is rather large with a good selection of beer, wind and spirits. Prices are competitive. They usually have a few workers in the store who can help you find something or answer questions you may have. Plenty of parking as well.

We bought a keg from here for my husbands birthday. When we tried to use the first tap handle it would not work. I had to go back during our BBQ and get a new handle. The next one worked at first but then as we used it more it would get stuck and not pump out any beer. This resulted in our guests drinking our liquor instead of the keg since it was too late to go get a third tap handle. When I returned the Keg and tap handle the owner could care less that it did not work. Very poor customer service… no money back for a basically full keg due to their malfunctioning equipment, no gift card to try and retain us as customers, not even an apology for the inconvenience. The only good thing about this place is the worker Jim who is very knowledgeable about beer and very helpful in the store.

Great selection of beer, wine, and liqueur. And good prices to match. I go here for everything I need. I just wish the owner would stop carding me. I spend so much money there but she never seems to remember me.

I am a beer geek, and I came to this location in search of beer. The selection that this store has to offer is quite extensive. The staff here is friendly, engaging, and quite knowledgeable. They provided me with some excellent recommendations. The store features more of the hoppy beer styles, with an excellent offering of IPA& Pales. There were also some of the bigger, maltier beers available as well. Everything from local craft to imported hard-to-finds, this was a nice location. Clean, fairly well organized, and well stocked. My only complaint was that some of the more hop-forward beers were not stored in the cold case, but honestly this did not seem to affect the quality of the beer, as it is all stored out of direct sunlight. Great little find!

If you want or need a person who knows beer Jimmy is the man for you. Jimmy understands the nuances of beer and can guide you to places you never been to. I’ve gain trust in this guy as he has skillfully enhanced my tasting experience. The selection of beer at this store is very good, as good as I’ve seen in Connecticut and what makes it is a person who knows what is what. Jimmy is that person.

I am a fan. I don’t know what the beer selection is. Nor do I care because when people start yammering on about micro brews, my douchebag radar goes off. I’m a wine drinker with a shot of whiskey or tequila thrown in for good measure and this place has a vast wine selection that is easy to navigate and a decent selection of tequilas and whiskeys. The prices are reasonable and probably less than what I typically pay when I liquor shop in the West Hartford area. If I’m out in this area, it’s a must stop.
