Had lunch there today and was pleasantly surprised. The city of St. Louis has much better bbq options than Bandannas. Furthermore, the past couple times I’ve been to the Arnold location I’ve gotten dry flavorless ribs. However, I decided to give Chesterfield a try and was happy I did! I got the platter that has a little of everything– and let me say OMG! it was delicious. Great texture, taste etc! In addition, our server was attentive and never allowed a drink to go empty. If you haven’t tried the Bandannas in Chesterfield I highly recommend.

Went into Bandanas today to ask for a few packets of BBQ sauce to send to my brother-in-law who is stationed in Afghanistan, I happened to come in on the perfect day because the CEO Rick White was at that location. He was more than generous with his donation. He didn’t care about tax write off or any of the run around that most corporate locations give you. He was fantastic, thank you so much. The boys overseas will definitely be coming in to enjoy some great BBQ at the Chesterfield Location.

No Brisket? Are you kidding me? I stopped in to pick up some brisket and was told they don’t make it here. Wow… just wow! I left so this rating isn’t based on food quality just lack of BBQ at a BBQ place…

Consistently satisfying if you insist on getting BBQ in the county but alas, no corn bread.

BBQ is always good here. I really like the fact that they serve it without sauce and you can pick from 5 sauces on the table. I sometimes use two of them. I have eaten here on many occasions and the food is always great — never dry. I had the beef plate tonight with 2 sides — the potato was large and the green beans. I did have to add salt and pepper to the green beans, this is unusual, as normally they are salty enough. I enjoy coming here more now than in the past, because it is easy to eat gluten free — just hold the bread. They have something for everyone and a variety of portion sizes to choose from. This was a dinner visit on a Wednesday night — normally a slower night for this location, but tonight it was buy. Free Wifi — and incredible staff and service. Highly recommend.

Horrible. Cafeteria or low quality buffet food at best. «Homemade sides» of green beans and corn that tasted at if they were poured directly from cans and served luke warm. By 8 pm on a Saturday night completely out of ribs, huh? Tried the turkey sandwich, dry and tasted like liquid smoke… yuck. No matter how much extra BBQ sauce added, could not improve the flavor(and that despite four different sauces available on the table which tasted remarkably the same). Fast food at best posing at ‘real food’. Do yourselves a favor and go to Culvers. Would give this place zero stars for the food, but the server was good. Perhaps she should be working elsewhere… like a Chili’s or Applebee’s, or other generic corporate tasteless Americana. Those establishments are still head and shoulders above the quality for price of this place. Last note, just saw a small gnat fly up from under the table… and it’s wintertime… gross.

Ribs are awesome. Not as good as Pappy’s but still excellent. Fried okra and coleslaw were very good. Good service and good sauces.

Been to Bandanas Bar-B-Q many times, but to different locations throughout the St. Louis area. Another lunch opportunity with two of my Mercy co-workers and we went to Bandanas Bar-B-Q at 17164 Chesterfield Airport Road in Chesterfield Valley. We went for lunch and had the BBQ sandwich platter with two sides — the pork was wonderful and the sides were very delicious — I was not expecting the sides to be as delicious. Had the baked potato and the cole slaw — the slaw was REALLY good and really fresh too. We were there around 11:30ish and may have beaten the lunch crowd. The service was great and we would plan on revisiting it soon.

I had the occasion to eat at this restaurant this past weekend while visiting St. Louis. The service was great, the food was amazing, and overall it was one of the best BBQ meals that I have ever eaten and I am a real BBQ snob. It is not easy to blow me away but this place did. The Manager came by our table and asked how things were. We started talking about BBQ and he asked if I had tried their ribs. I said not that this was my first visit and I had ordered a combination plate of beef and pork. after out talk he returned a few minutes later with a plate that had 4 ribs on it and to let him know what I thought of them. They were great. Great Place and I will go there every chance that i get.

Have visited Bandana’s for many years now. Maybe once a year or so. There is one thing that makes this possible… sweet and smokey BBQ sauce. With PMBBQ just down on Long Rd in their new bigger location, the sit down crowd will likely pick PM as the quality is a bit more desirable. I hate seeing this, but unless Bandana’s ups the quality, I wouldn’t bank on them existing much longer at this location. The Chicken is the one thing that is consistent and has flavor. My choice now is almost always the Chicken and pork platter with coleslaw and potato salad. These sides are pretty good. They also have pretty good fries! Of course the sweet and smokey sauce is my glue to keep visiting them.

So I opted to visit this location since it’s close to work. You would think that a location that’s so close to its’ corporate office, it might actually do a good job. I think I spent about five minutes listening to the server who was taking my to go order and the manager argue over how to give me the free donut holes for signing up with the card. I finally told them to forget it, it wasn’t worth them arguing if my food was sitting and waiting for me, growing cold by the minute. The waitress told me that I would be getting my danged donut holes and to hold my horses. okay…I’ve had better service at the one down the street from my house(well, not quite, but they don’t argue with you about something that you’ve earned). On top of that. they supposedly have free wifi — well if it’s free, why is it locked? I asked another server if it was possible to get the password for the wifi guest signal and I was told no because I wasn’t a guest. Hmmm. Okay. I guess I’ll just keep my hankering for BBQ to the one by my house. Just wow.

Tried Bandana’s BBQ in Chesterfield Valley on Friday night. I have been to other Bandana’s locations in the past, with varying results(BBQ nachos were dry with sparse toppings at one, meat was moist and tasty at another). This one is in a former Bob Evans restaurant. It’s a pretty generic bldg, but the decorations do a decent enough job to give it an ok vibe. The bldg is actually pretty small, which I liked because it meant it wasn’t a crazy big place with people going everywhere. Server was friendly and helpful. Food was served quickly and hot. Decent amount of fried okra for the appetizer, but it seemed like the kind you pour out a big bag from the freezer and deep fry. Taste was okay, but disappointing that it wasn’t fresh made. Not to be expected, but still. As another review noted, pulled pork was more blocky/chopped than stringy/pulled. Taste was decent though. Same with the beef. Both were okay, but certainly not like the better barbecue joints. Seems more assembly line. I do like the variety of sauces available on the table. More than a lot of other places offer. Beans were bleh. Just bland. Apple sauce was decent, a little bit of chunkiness to add interest. I liked the toasted garlic bread slices. They just added Fitz’s sodas to the menu. Six choices of flavors. Nice move. It’s an okay place. Easy to get in and have a quick meal. If you want to savor a barbecue dinner, though, seek out other choices that slow cook out back for just that day, etc.

I have tried bandanas a few times and i am just not a fan at all. I about choked on my pork plate because the meat was so dry i just couldn’t swallow it without a drink with it. The baked beans taste like they came from a can. I am so disappointed with this place its sad, i love bbq but will not frequent this place. As i said i have given it about four tries now and just am done looking for that one thing i will come back for. Great service overall, but i can get that many other places that the food fulfills my needs.

Not a bad place to do. I’ve been here twice and both times the service was friendly and quick. They got my order right and they were helpful as to what’s good and what types of BBQ sauces they have. The side selection is pretty standard for a BBQ joint and the sides that I have had so far, the fried okra, the potato salad, the baked beans and the cole slaw, were all fine. None that I’d step over my own mom to get but still good nonetheless. Their meat is also decent though their pulled pork is more blocky than stringy. Whatever, it still tastes good. I’d definitely go here again but there are better BBQ places in St. Louis. None of them are close to this Chesterfield place though so Banadanas is where it’s at out here.

Local chain BBQ. The great thing in life is we all have different taste. Bandanas has several locations in St Louis. If you are looking for«fast food» style BBQ then you should be happy. If you are looking for great BBQ, that takes time to cook, and they make just enough for the day… this is not the place. On the positive side, place is clean, beer is cold and overall not a bad place. Overall, it’s just ok.
