I love paint your own pottery and I jumped at the chance to try a glass candle dish class with a Groupon not to long ago. We booked our class for a Tuesday night and arrived to a very cheerful employee who directed us to the table we would be sitting at. We had to wait for the others to show before the class began, which was fine, gave us a chance to look around at all the other offerings the business had to offer. The associate, Meghan, started off the class by explaining all the materials and tools we’d be using. There were 3 – 4 people to a table and each table had one set of the 3 tools. That only became an issue when all of us needed a particular tool at the same time. After the instructions, we were left to be on our own the rest of the night, and we could ask for assistance if we needed it. I wish we had more of an instruction given, for the simple fact that no one in the groups had done this before and I felt we were given hardly any before we were left on our own. However we got the groove going and were happy with our end results. They had to charge us a $ 1ish tax as it wasn’t included in the Groupon(first time I’ve had that happen before with a Groupon) and it was a week turn around to get the finish product. I hope to go back one day to experience the paint your own aspect one day but I am very impressed with the glass candle dish that came out of this class.
