One of my favorite pizza places. I’ve only been eating here for about 2 years, but so far I love it. The thin crust is especially good!

This place has some great pizza and the service was very friendly. I love the thick rolled thin crust and the sauce. The owner is a great guy who was very friendly and attentive. I first had the pizza from a friend who brought some out to work but the best way to have it is eating inside the place. I can’t say enough about the overall experience. Bottom line for me is this is the best pizza in Northwest Indiana… hands down ! … enjoy.

We got a heart-shaped pizza on Valentine’s Day, as well as a free mug with candy. The wait was long, but definitely worth it. We’ve had pizza there before, and never disappoints!

I had a pizza here the other day and I thought it was really good. The kitchen and building were clean. The employees were courteous helpful and nice. I highly recommend you go here for a pizza. They just need better hours.

We were in New Buffalo, MI for the 4th. picked up a Take and bake back to Chicago. I lived in Chesterton in 1972 when Duneland opened. It is the best pizza on the planet. Baked it on a pizza stone and it was as good as in the restaurant.

Local pizza places of merit seem harder and harder to come by. Duneland is such a place, and we loved the thin crust pizza. Meat lovers for the hungry teenagers, and olive oil, spinach, and mushroom for us — very, very tasty. They were quick too — I arrived to watched them pull our pizza from the oven only 25 minutes after we ordered. Take a look at some of the great Duneland photos too.

I am so sad to write this review as I grew up with Duneland Pizza — and always loved! On A trip home I wanted to take a trip down memory lane with a slice of thin crust pizza and a Stromboli sandwich… Sooo disappointed! Sandwich was dry Nd very skimpy– not the luscious gooey mess encased in foil from my childhood! The pizza seemed anemic, too– don’t think I’ll be back– just have to savor the memories!

So so pizza. The crust and sauce were pretty good, but the cheese was sub-par. I know one has to cut corners wherever possible, but the pizza business is so flooded a local joint like this needs to pay homage to the holy trinity of pizza(crust, sauce, toppings) if it wants to differentiate itself from the chains. Garlic bread was pretty darn good though.

I’ve been eating Duneland pizza for over 34 years, sure some times it has slightly changed but I love the fresh oregano taste and thin crust and fresh real cheese. It will remain my fav. I give it 5 stars.

For the most part, we do not order pizza out. We have 2 pizza stones at home and enjoy making pizza, but if we are going to pizza, we go to Duneland. I rather enjoy their meat pizzas, but usually, the wife likes vegetable pizzas with no meat, so I end up getting to eat that. Their Veggie pizza is good, but I think the vegetables kind of water it down — it tastes like it needs salt. It’s nothing a good dose of hot sauce can’t solve. I like that they have such a wide variety of crusts. The thin crust is nice, but it goes down too easily. I can put A LOT of that away. I’m not saying this is a detriment to the pizza, it’s not, it’s really good, but I eat way more than I should. I prefer the next level of crust up, sort of the«hand-tossed» variety or the kind of crusts you get at most pizza places, called THICK. I had the meat pizza one time, and that was about as good as a pizza gets. I’ve also had their Chicago-style pizza, which is good, and filling. However, again, it’s more of the veggie-varietal so it didn’t pack a punch like a meat one would. I totally recommend this place. They do have a sit down area, and even outdoor seating is nice when the weather gets warm. Also, check out the photography of the NW Indiana beaches while you’re in here, it’s really good, too. I recommend getting meat on your pizza. Unless, you know, your wife is vegetarian, because I guess then that makes YOU pretty much a vegetarian.

When I’m in Northwest Indiana, Duneland Pizza is kind of my go-to place. I mean not mine, it’s more like the place my boyfriend always chooses for pizza, but I really like it too! I’ve never actually dined in though; we always call in and carry out. Our pizza’s always been ready and waiting within 20 – 30 minutes. Service is very friendly and efficient, and you really get a kind of personal, small business vibe. I think my favorite is the hamburger pizza, which I don’t think you’d consider at first, but it’s really good! The bbq chicken pizza’s also delish. Also, this is the only pizza I would eat cold, still tastes awesome!
