Where else can you get a delicious breakfast sandwich, a tomahawk, a selfie stick, some microbrews and a rifle?

You have to love a place that sells shotguns, tackle and all things maple. I’ve been coming here for at least 20 years. It has changed a lot over the years. As of recent, it has expanded to meet the demands of the ever changing clients that frequent this area. It has a lovely deli and a nice local beer selection. I kind of liked it better when it was less tourists and a straight up local joint but It is a good spot when passing through for gas, and what not… mostly what not…

My fiancé and I stop here as often as possible! The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious, baked goods are always wonderful. Non-ethanol gas out front. This is a great stop-off when traveling on the northway. We love grabbing a 6-pack and a sandwich on our way to fishing the Schroon River. They also have a wonderful selection of gifts upstairs. One-stop-shop is an understatement!

A true general store. I have been coming here my whole life, and recommend it to anyone passing through. Excellent selection of local beer(with some on tap!); as well as outdoor supplies. Their sandwiches are great, while a little pricey, are worth the extra bucks. Their gas is usually a few cents cheaper than the Stewarts down the road. They also have an ice cream stand!

Your one stop for the best IPA selection in the Adirondacks! Pick a local NY brew or choose from their amazing selection.(heard that Ct’s Two Roads will be there soon) Owner and his sons are just the best people! Ladies, dont forget to check out upstairs for gifts and woolrich for you and carhart for him. Do you fish or hunt? The best local advice and supplies can be found in the basement. Be sure to meet John and his sons on your next visit.

We got a chicken noodle soup, homemade oatmeal cookie and a hot cup of coffee. All very tasty and comforting in 10 degree weather.

To quote my friend, «Can cross roads do anything wrong?» I went here for lunch one time(not my first visit) And I typically get whatever the special is. But today there was no special. I asked about it and they said they had no time to decide on a special. The girl then said she would surprise me if I wanted. So I said, go for it. What I got was the best sandwich I have ever had. It was so good I gave the girl a 5 dollar tip. Seriously… so good. The coffee is not my style of coffee, but at least the beans are fresh. The baked goods are SUPER yummy. They have plenty of camping gear if you need some. All in all, it’s VERY good place to eat.

Great deli, owners are friendly and very helpful. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and always look forward to stopping by to see what’s new, pick up GREAT(big and meaty) deli sandwiches, check out their amazing selection of local interest books and fresh bait. Always find a couple of great t-shirts and hats to take back to CA with us. The ice cream shop next door is always hit with everyone and open late. Highly recommend.

If you are fortunate enough to find this place just off The Northway @ the Brant Lake/Chestertown exit, then you may as well reward yourself with a good cup of Joe and a large homemade cookie. At least, that’s what I did. Can’t say much about the rest of the place, although the basement seemed to have a gun repair shop where I quickly perused the rifles and shotguns on display. The upper floor was the tourist shop which I walked past to get to the WC. Nothing there to my taste. The outbuilding housed a soft serve ice cream window, but I read a sign that said I had to leave the ‘scream outside the structure or inside my belly before entering; so I didn’t bother sampling it. Not the gateway to Valhalla, but not a wormhole to Dark World, either. Coffee was quite satisfying, and the cookie a lip smacker.

Blown away by this place. My stepdad recommended I stop here for coffee, which I did, but I also walked out with the best meatball sub I’d ever had, and a delicious home-made peanut butter chocolate chip cookie! And everyone was unnecessarily friendly, to boot. If you’re on your way down I-87 and need a place to stop that isn’t a rest area, this is a great find.

Such a cute place! They have three floors, basement seemed to have hardware, the main floor is a deli, and the second floor is a gift shop. The prices are reasonable and the feel to it is pretty nice.

I have been there several times this summer. It is amazing at how much stuff that is in this building. They have fishing, hunting, and camping equipment, outdoor clothing, footwear, nik-naks and gifts. For those that are in need of food and beverages they have an amazing deli, and selection of micro-brews. They also have gas and a seasonal soft ice cream stand. The owner and his sons are very knowledgeable for those looking for the hot fishing spots and what the fish are hitting on. When in the area this will be one of my first stops.

We found this place too late in our vacation at Brant Lake. This place is a proper«General Store» — fishing and hunting meets a terrific craft-beer selection meets home-baked breads and tasty treats and a deli and fresh made breakfast sandwiches and carafes of various Green Mountain coffee and newspapers and a gas pump and hustle and bustle of local fishermen and soft-serve ice cream in the building next door and gifts and fly fishing lessons and more. Go early in your vacation and go often — the friendly and helpful staff are, well, friendly and helpful.
