Schwartz Barr Burrell & Malik MD PC

I arrived today for my 12:50pm appointment promptly at 12:50 and within 10 – 15 minutes filled out the necessary paperwork, and had them take my copay, insurance, and photo ID. When I asked if the doctor was on time, the receptionist said he was on time and I would be taken back in 5 minutes.
10 minutes later, a nurse brought me into a room and told me that I should have received a call because the doctor was called into a surgery earlier in the day, which is why he was running late. The nurse told me it would be exactly 8 minutes until the doctor would be in. 8 minutes later, at 1:40 (about an hour after my appointment) I left. When I asked the receptionist why I hadn’t been notified, she responded that she had no idea that the doctor was called into surgery.
I wasted over an hour of my own time and would not recommend this practice to anyone. It is such a shame that doctors take advantage of patients like this.
