What a hidden gem. The family dropped by for a quick lunch and ended up having a wonderful lunch! The waitress(we think her name was Connie) was such a sweetheart. The food was fantastic(burger patty made to order and the steak sandwich was sooooo yummy). We just had a wonderful lunch here and hope others come and enjoy it as well.

Not a good experience here. Went for breakfast(we love going to small-town diners and were looking for a new favorite after moving to Cheyenne), and it must have been busy because they put us in the overflow seating. Literally back to back with the other tables, we had to sit cramped up to the table with chairs rubbing other customer chairs behind us. Made the mistake of bringing young children which just exacerbated the issue. If the food had been better we’d have been back to try it again, but it was a disappointment all around. Cheap food, bad service, and worse atmosphere(in the overflow room). Gave it an extra star based on the idea that the main room might be better. Update — the owner responded via Unilocal and asked us to try it again. Their desires for what kind of customer experience they wanted to provide seemed spot on. We did give it another try, and sat in their main seating area(rather than the overflow plastic table/chairs area as before). Still extremely tight seating. Sat in chairs but it might as well have been a bench because the person on the end had to get up if anyone else had any chance of getting up. As for the food, it was fine, but few items in the menu even looked appetizing, we ended up customizing our own order completely. Two strikes for this one, it’s just not going to work for us. I know several folks in the area that go here exclusively when they go out to breakfast. More power to them, they won’t have to wait on my table.

This was a great place for breakfast. We like to eat at local places when we travel, and this was a great find. It’s a typical diner, the food is not super fancy, but it is delicious. My corned beef hash with luxury potatoes were fantastic. The best part was the biscuit that came with breakfast, which was homemade and enormous! The waitress even brought honey to the table for the biscuit without me having to ask for it. The service was super friendly. I would most definitely eat there again!

Just moved to Cheyenne a couple weeks ago so I haven’t had ALL the food around here but I’ve eaten out almost every day, trying different restaurants. This is my favorite of the probably 15 different spots I’ve been to. Great home-cooked food, down-home feel and super friendly staff. I had the daily special for $ 9.50. Chicken fried steak and chose mashed potatoes and gravy and French fries for my sides(I know, terribly unhealthy). They turned out to be almost out of mashed potatoes, so they came back and offered extra fries instead. I said that was fine, they brought my food, then the cook personally came and brought another bowl of mashed potatoes on top of the small portion I’d already received when she finished making more. Great service and amazing food.

I did not want to stay at the Hotel and catch their breakfast so I ventured into the city and decided to give this place a try. This place had a small capacity(68) but we were able to slide right in. The food was amazing and the wait staff was super friendly! My son loved the added bonus of eating in the Caboose dining area. If you have the time when passing thru Cheyenne and want an amazing breakfast this diner will not disappoint.

Stopped here Sunday on our way through headed to Yellowstone… made our way my back this direction today and stopped in again. Everything was just as great as last time. Yes, definitely recommend. It’s just good home cooking with great service.

A hidden gem in the bustling metropolis of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Black Sabbath poured from the kitchen as we perused the menu filled with names relating to train cars. The food was quite good; better than average for diner fare. The coffee was very good. The service was fantastic and if I am ever in Cheyenne again, it will be a must stop for me.

Fantastic lunch with my son. Had meatloaf special and salad for 9 bucks and it comes with desert. What a deal. And delicious beyond words, very friendly staff. Been here before for breakfast, it does get tight, because it good, welcome to a real hometown eatery.

I love diners especially on road trips but this one was just way too greasy and the bacon was overcooked :(there was plenty of bacon and it was good quality but when it’s hard and burnt it’s no good. This place has potential but the cooks need to not get lazy and take pride in their food. The servers were really nice and the place is cute. Maybe it was an off day?

My family and I have been traveling for the last 8 days and found The Luxury Café on Unilocal!Best home cooked meal we had all week! My husband had the best chicken friend steak breakfast meal ever! The French Dip and fries was fantastic! The best part is the owner brought out the biggest cinnamon roll ever! Our 3 sons can’t wait to go back! Just 1.5 miles off I-25. The owners and staff were so welcoming!

This little hole in the wall restaurant could easily be overlooked or skipped because it’s not a chain but I wouldn’t recommend doing that. We ate here one day and went back the next, it was that good. My husband had the green chili burger, it was fabulous. I had a Santa Fe burrito with green chili sauce. Amazing. In fact I think anything with that sauce on it would be terrific. Best I’ve had in a long time. They also know how to do hash browns right, crispy and perfect. Definitely a local place. May have been the best meal we had the entire time we were here. Great prices too!

Wish I could give this diner more than 5 stars. When you walk you are welcomed and asked to seat yourself. Which is unusual for any restaurants these days. One waitress for the diner but you would never know with the kind of fast efficient service we received. She was very attentive and made sure the food was right. Piping hot to the very last bite never had such big slices of bacon that were cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the ambience of the trains. Great place to go and have a great meal!

When im in a small town, I always try to eat at a local establishment instead of a national chain. I found that the Luxury Dinner was just what I was looking for. The food was great, the portion size was huge, and the price doesn’t tear a hole in the side of your wallet. On this visit I tried the Eggs Deluxe with hash browns and pork chops. The food was fresh and tasty and the waitress was quick and friendly. Definitely a place to check out when in the area.

This once in service trolley car is a long running local establishment with that perfect diner feel. There is plenty of train memorabilia, if you into that sort of thing. The staff is friendly, attentive and not overbearing. A great place to eat whether you are passing thru or on a extended stay. Their chili verde on anything is highly recommended and they have a little something for everyone ranging from cinnamon rolls, perogies, burgers, eggs Benedict, Santa Fe burrito smothered in chili verde(my favorite) and much more.

My uncle took me here for breakfast when he lived in the area and it did not disappoint. The one challenge was that I was coming from northeast where portions are smaller. Needless to say, I over ordered with a huge amount of biscuits & gravy, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage and toast. If I am ever back in the area, I am definitely going again.

Pork green chili. Cinnamon rolls bigger than your head. And cheesesteaks to die for. What a surprise after 12 hours on the road. We know where we are stopping in the way back.

Ouch! Thought I would like something Here, didn’t even have high expectations, and they still disappointed in a big big way… The food tasted like straight out of a can, or they went dumpster diving or something, I can not get why this place has sucha high rating! The only thing they master is how not to run a restaurant, everything here was simply bad, from the service to the distasteful Gross food, they even had a repair man working on some stuff on the next table… Please don’t be lured in because of the rating, move on to a different town to get something to eat. Ps. From what I understood this place recently changed owners.

When in Cheyenne, we always eat at the Luxury Diner. Yesterday I had the Trout & Eggs. Now I“m a finisher, always clear my plate, always finish up after the wife & kids too. I couldn’t finish the trout, the piece was too big. The potatoes are perfect mix of onions, peppers, misc grill flavor, and perfectly cooked potatoes. I usually go for a Latte after having diner coffee, not here. I was absolutely satisfied with the coffee yesterday. The service was awesome too. I wish I could bring a couple of those girls back to my home town to show the locals how service is done.
