I love history and go to every museum I can. My wife and I went here during frontier days(2013) and admission was $ 10 per person. This proved to be a complete waste of money. The few carriages they had were cool to look at, but, there was not much in the way of information, and really just not much to look at. I kept looking for a door or hallway that might lead to the rest of the museum, but there wasn’t anymore of it. $ 2 seems an appropriate admission fee, but at $ 10 I seriously considered asking for my money back.

This was a super frontier museum! During the rodeo, it was open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Great collection of carriages, close-up view of the saddle«trophies», wonderful«touch» displays for the young, great audio reinforcements. It had one room dedicated as an art gallery with a great balance of cowboy, Indian and bronze art. The museum people were friendly and helpful. You can have your picture taken in a surrey or with your head sticking out of cut-out westerners. A fun stop – takes less than two hours.(about $ 8 to enter)
