This place is amazing! There is always a wait but you grab a drink and walk the floors. They don’t take reservations. I would highly recommend the burger. I just found out it was owned by the same group that owns Au Cheval. This makes complete sense, since it reminder me of that burger. The lattes are wonderful as well. The restaurant is beautiful. Really fun place!

The atmosphere is incredible here. But the wait is unreal. The average time is 1hr30min — 2hrs. They do not take reservations and you need to be there to put your name on the list. You can’t call in and put your name on the list. The menus is mostly café food(not a big lunch selection). I got the oolong tea and my friend got the earl grey. The tea was amazing and they give you a beautiful kettle full of more hot water. They also supply honey, milk, cream and etc free of charge! This place would be amazing getting drinks or coffee with friends, family, or a date! One big tip though! I was a bit annoyed with this policy, I paid in cash and they don’t give you any change(exact change like cents) back. I was confused because it’s still money. I’ve been to a good amount of higher class restaurants and I’ve never heard of such a policy… So DON’T PAYINCASH!(i took off a star because of this and the long wait)

So the place is gorgeous! Great ambience. It’s a perfect place to just sit down and have lunch with a friend or just some coffee. I had a Danish pastry there and a latte. The pastry was ok and the latte was good. I had come in for lunch but there was a 2 hr wait to be seated. This place is inside restoration hardware. The place is good to shop for furniture and get good decorating ideas. I looked at the menu and it didn’t have a whole of options to choose from. I would mainly come here to just enjoy the ambience. I think dinner here would be fun and romantic.

This place is pretty cool. As many of the other reviews have mentioned, it’s in the Restoration Hardware store, which has been renovated to perfection recently. Had a good experience here and will likely return soon. Ambiance is great. It’s literally like dining in a sophisticated retail store. The service was quite good too — our waitress was attentive without being overbearing and was always generally around. Food was very good too. I had the arugula salad with chicken and it was light, refreshing, and just what you’d expect. My wife had eggs which were basic but good, served with an avocado and some toast. The reason for four stars and not five is that the menu is a bit limited for brunch. The only items they have are eggs, yogurt and toast. There are plenty of lunch and dinner items, but for a sophisticated restaurant that opens at 10am on weekends there should be more than one true brunch item. Will likely come back here but will likely be for lunch or dinner. I imagine that after dark this place is even better, and the bar menu looked particularly appetizing. Just don’t come here for brunch expecting an extensive brunch menu. We enjoyed ourselves regardless but it’s not really a brunch spot per se.

So wonderful! I felt a sense of euphoria as soon as I came in. We were seated immediately by a very serious hostess in the back. We had low very comfortable couches next to rows of wine bottles, and a spindly table for our meal. This is more of snack and wine place, but we were hungry so we ordered a few dishes. The burrata was excellent. Very fresh, and served with these amazing garlicky tomatoes and bread. The salmon board was alright, nothing spectacular. The only thing keeping this place from being five stars was the slightly inattentive server. She might’ve been new or something, she was kinda awkward with the whole thing and forgot one of the dishes. The best part by far was exploring the four furniture levels. It’s like a super fabulous Manhattan IKEA. We saw lots of women with friends, families, and young couples on dates. It’s a very feminine place overall. Definitely coming back!

I’n in love wit this place! The ambiance was so nice. This place remind me of cafes and castles that I used to go to in the UK n Europe. I’m def going back again. I’m thinking of requesting a photoshoot here too. I think it is the best place to propose or go on a romantic date. The only thing I didn’t like was waiting for hour and half to be seated and how u can’t phone in to make reservation. But the other rooms in RH were beautiful. I like how we can sit anywhere, if we wanted to have coffee or mocktails. I did enjoy my grill cheese. Overall I loved it n will go back again iA

A must visit Chicago restaurant experience. I went here for a Saturday brunch. Any photos you see online do not do this restaurant justice. This a super upscale classy to dine. Although they don’t take reservations, the hostess is great about getting people seated. The main dining area is centered around the giant fountain. If you are open to dining on a sofa, you will be seated faster. If you do find yourself on the wait list, fear not. You are free to walk around and relax on one of the many couches. There is also a small café area where you can pick up a coffee to relax while you wait. I was expecting the menu to be crazy expensive but it was pretty fair. The only thing on the menu that was slightly above my pay scale were the wines/champagnes but other wise you could grab a beer at a reasonable price. Regardless, this a great place for a date. Very unique dinning experience that you have to check out.

This stunning restaurant blends design and cuisine for a relaxing and pleasurable experience. Although they don’t take reservations, you can grab a drink from the in house café and relax in one of the many beautifully decorated rooms surrounding the restaurant seating area. As a small party of two our initial 45 minute wait ended up only being 15 – 20 minutes. We ordered the RH scramble and the smoked salmon platter. Both were delicious and the ample amount of buttery texas toast made both dishes quite filling. The only downside is that their alcoholic drinks are a bit pricey, but considering the reasonable prices for most other items, this can be easily overlooked. Great place for a brunch date or to take your mom when she’s in town.

Came here on a Friday with four other friends. It’s a great winter spot since everything is indoors but this café makes you feel like your outdoors on a summer day with all the trees and decorations. The furniture is super comfy so try to get on some of the couches. The place has a great ambiance and seems like a perfect date for coffee or just lunch/dinner. You may have to wait if you can’t make reservations. My friends for a grilled cheese and another dish. Grilled cheese was bomb apparently. I would’ve gotten the burger if they had cheddar cheese on it instead of American… Who does that?!? Only fast food places put American cheese on burgers!!! Anyways definitely check out this place since you’ll be mesmerized by the décor. They have a lot of wine options if you like that. Seems like a lot of middle aged women come here, which isn’t a bad thing, just seems like it’s in a great location.

I have to say this is probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever brunched at. It’s literally located in Restoration Hardware in a patio on the first floor, and everything from the tables and chairs to the dishware are on point. It actually feels like you’re dining in one of their floor displays. Although the menu is somehwat small, there are some really good options to choose from. I started off with the Pear Cold Pressed juice(in an attempt to be healthy), and it was actually really tasty and not too«green» tasting. Then we got an order of the burrata for the table which was the best. Probably some of the best burrata I’ve ever had and I almost wanted to order a second round. Then a friend and I split the grilled cheese which was once again absolutely amazing, and the RH Burger which was just as good if not better. I’ve been told this burger is essentially the same as the one they serve at Au Cheval(which our waitress more or less confirmed), which I was really excited about since I didn’t have time to go during my trip. Overall, I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to brunch any day of the week. If there are long waits it’s actually somewhat enjoyable since you’re able to walk around and browse the store until your table is ready. I will definitely be back here when I come back to Chicago!

Interior: Majestic and Magical, Round Gold Tables for Two, Quiet Fountain in the middle, Chandeliers you can’t stop staring at, couches and sofas in neutral colors. Very Posh. Large rustic wood tables. Nothing like this place anywhere in the city. You will want to buy everything you see. Warm feeling– anytime of the year. Drinks: Coffee Mugs with Latte Art, Tea in Kettles for 6 dollars, Champagne and Wine you can walk around the store with. Food: Grilled Cheese with Truffle, Grass Fed Burgers, Cheese and Snack Plates. BIGTIP: Download the NoWait App. The wait time is usually accurate and wait time is usually an hour. Walk around the store with a glass of champagne or sit for awhile to wait anywhere in the store. Perfect for: Anyone. Can come with friends, on a date, as a family with older children.

An absolutely breathtaking space. We waited 90 minutes for a table for two on a weekday, but it was most definitely worth the wait. The burger is amazing as the restauranteurs behind Au Cheval is the same group that started 3 Arts Café. The difference is that Au Cheval does a double patty with an egg and bacon, but here it’s a single patty without the egg. The fries came with a heavenly garlic aioli — I highly recommend ordering the burger with fries. The Bellini is excellent. We ordered a few and they let us browse around the rest of the furniture store with our drinks. The wait staff is attentive and kind, and they were extremely fast. The best part is the meal was very fairly priced. Definitely a must try in Chicago. Also, it’s a great place to take a photo or two. :)

The first thing you will notice is that there are no signs outside the building aside from the valet parking. You will first step into a lobby covered with mirrors and impressing chandeliers. Host added my party to a 2 hour waiting list which felt like 30 minutes after we were directed to the coffee area with the most comfortable seating area. They text you a link with your«waiting» status. Note: Visit the 2 – 5 floors which are showrooms where you can drink your coffee while you wait. Customer service was great at all levels. They are friendly and accommodating. Expect food to be from a «coffee shop» menu. The ambience makes everything worth it!

This place is all about the décor, vibe, and atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly and cool and I ordered a chai latte. My latte was smaller than everyone else’s which was fine since it was too rich for my taste and I didn’t end up drinking it all. I also ordered the super salad? and I forget the ingredients but I recall that they were fresh and tasty. I disliked having to cut each piece of lettuce but I guess that’s the style these days. I didn’t like the low table seating but I appreciated the décor and thought the venue was lovely. I probably wouldn’t return but I can understand why people would like this spot. We ended up exploring the building and I found a blanket on sale for $ 575. Amazing how much money people have to throw away! Overall a lovely spot with free valet. Well worth a visit.

5 stars for ambience, 5 stars for the food and beverage(salted caramel latte is the bomb), and unlike other Unilocalers we didn’t have a wait or encounter poor service. Our table of 4 tried a salted caramel latte, a Bellini, and their coconut water. In addition the table got a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches, the salmon board, the charred carrots, coconut donut and the fires with garlic aioli. Everything was outstanding and prepared just right. This may have been one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve had. The space itself… please just trust me and go check it out. It’s a sensory overload of sorts in a good way.

This is probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I have seen. With the fountain in the middle and varies types of seating around, it feels like you are dining in an outdoor park but it’s indoors. It is uniquely located inside Restoration Hardware, a furniture store. You can grab a drink from the café inside and browse the building while you wait for your table. The menu isn’t expansive which is fine because they do well with what they do offer. I hear the RH burger is similar to Au Cheval but better ingredients(?). We opted to order a side of thick bacon to go with the burger, which was a great decision. The cheese on the cheese board was deliciously indulgent and buttery. The fries had just the right crisp, and the salad wasn’t boring. I do want to try the fish next time. Service, though a bit slow was knowledgeable and friendly. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and it won’t break the bank. This is a great way to escape the Chicago cold and distress over a leisurely meal. It almost feels like you are in a different country.

The 3 Arts Club Café. Named after what the building used to house which was a women’s club and home for women involved in music, painting and drama. While it was used as a residential space until 2004, the building has now been totally renovated by Restoration Hardware to be a première showroom with the brightest star being the 3 Arts Club Café. Located in the center atrium of the building, this restaurant is stunning! A fountain anchors the space and crystal chandeliers twinkle from up high lighting the intimate seating clusters and tables. Looking up, you will see you are in a huge atrium with cast iron supports and glass that lets in the light but is so visually stimulating! We went on a Friday night and were lucky enough to only have a short wait. They don’t take reservations which may be smart as it pushes you to go through the 5 levels of the Restoration Hardware store to see the countless floor displays that have you wondering how you can pack up each room and move it home! Ask for a glass of wine and stroll to your heart’s content. Anyway, I digress. Back to the restaurant. We were seated at a large marble table for 4 surrounded by the sound of trickling water, twinkling lights above and plants that separate and provide some privacy. From my vantage point, I could see into the kitchen with the brass pots hanging from the ceiling and the chefs moving around. Little wonder I liked this place as it is run by Brendan Sodikoff, who operates many of my favorite restaurants around town(Gilt Bar, Bavettes, Maudes, etc) They only serve beer and wine so don’t expect a wide range of specialty cocktails but the wine list is solid. Or have tea and feel like you were one of the women who once graced the walls of this impressive space. I ordered the chicken breast that comes with some dressed greens or fries and my friend had the burger. The burger was the clear winner but my chicken was moist and well prepared. And check out their«boards». The salmon one was delicious! They are open for brunch, lunch and dinner and even though the website says they close at 7, we were there eating long after that so it’s either a mis print or a wish to push people in earlier enough to get them fed before they actually close at 9. This neighborhood is tough to find street parking in so there is free valet service out front. And be sure to take the fancy elevators(reminded me of Vegas) up to the top floor to check out the rooftop garden with some spectacular views to the west. Was this my kind of place? You betcha. Classy without pretense. And a repurpose of a stunning building that has now found it’s next reason for being. Look for me there. I’m thinking of taking up permanent residence…oh that’s right. They don’t allow that anymore!

3.5 Stars First off, this place is fairly new. Like all trendy places expect a wait. I got there at 10:50am and there was already a line outside for the 11:00am opening. Once inside it’s breathtakingly beautiful! It’s such a picturesque spot. Once you get over the beautiful scenery though the place is pretty much average. The service leaves much to be desired. We were told we couldn’t sit at the two seater table by the fountain cause it was communal seating? I don’t understand how two chairs and a table equal communal seating. Also it took them over 20 minutes to bring my friend her coffee. We had to ask 3 separate times on an update on when she would be receiving it. Have to say the food was pretty much average too. I don’t think you can really screw up a grilled cheese sandwich. It was okay, but I’ve definitely had better. The grilled cheese came with truffle fries and they were a little too crispy for my liking. I will try this place out again, but I’ll definitely order something different. Make sure you go here when your patient and not particularly starving.

Our waiter told us that the building used to be for low-income female artists. Now, it’s a super posh furniture store, selling $ 25,000 couches that people try out while sipping champagne. Let’s be honest: that’s icky. Even still, despite my better judgement, I really liked this place. My wife, my 3-month old, and I went on a Saturday, knowing from reviews that it’d be packed. It was a madhouse! We got there at 1:00, put our name in, and committed to the 2 hour wait, which is apparently a constant on the weekend. The good news is this: it takes nearly 2 hours to go through the whole 5-level store. This place is like a European country house meets art gallery meets Restoration Hardware; it’s definitely unlike and RH I’ve ever seen. Truth be told, I’ve never though that looking at obscenely overpriced furniture could be so entertaining. My advice: put your name down, grab a drink from«the pantry,» and start on the rooftop terrace – floor 5. It’s beautiful! And, if the day is nice, a great spot to sit and enjoy your drink. Work your way down, taking your time to Instagram plenty of photos of you in your make-believe living room, and wait anxiously for the text, letting you know that your table is ready. For parents: in the kids section of the third floor, they have a little closet area with a changing table. Totally private and convenient! We got seated 30 minutes early. And they made sure to seat us at a table big enough to accommodate our stroller. They didn’t even scoff at our baby; that’s pretty impressive for a place this posh. True – the place was packed full of the worst kind of yuppies, but we tried to ignore them. Instead, we focused on the unbelievably beautiful courtyard space. It, alone, is reason to try 3 Arts. We’ll be taking family there when they visit for the holidays. It’s just that impressive. Service was top notch. We got a smattering of brunch-type plates, and they were delicious. They have very simple bistro-type food, but everything was prepared perfectly. The scrambled eggs in the RH scramble, served alongside a perfectly ripe avocado, were the best I’ve had. The proscuitto board was beautiful, and the burrata with roasted tomatoes was delicious. We ended the meal with a pot of tea and a donut from Doughnut Vault. To top it all off, the have FREE valet. Yeah, you heard me, people. FREE. So, to sum it up: Be prepared to wait. Plan on spending at least 3 hours. Don’t ask about the history of the building. Drink champagne and be blissfully ignorant.
