This is a well hidden restaurant in the area. The food is not great but sometimes when you crave for Chinese food it’s fine. The best part about this place is the price. For the price and amount if food, it’s pretty good. It’s like my guilty pleasure to come here for lunch.

This is a solid choice for lunch in the Loop. However, it is also probably some of the least healthy Chinese food I’ve ever eaten – not that it isn’t tasty, it’s actually very good, but wow is it greasy! I stop by about three times a month to pick up lunch here and am always left so full that I am reduced to a food coma – not the most productive state to be in after lunch. There are a couple of pros to this place: it is without a doubt the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to fast food Chinese in this part of the Loop – everyone receives more than they can handle, the people who work here are very nice and never try to hurry you or jones you out of money, and although it is unhealthy, it is tasty and warm and filling. I am no expert on Chinese food authenticity, but the food here doesn’t have that«fresh» taste to it that I normally associate to authentic foods I can speak to. There’s not a lot of heat(spice) to the dishes, but well seasoned otherwise. I’ll keep coming back for the convenience and if you’re looking for a quick spot, friendly service, and lots of food for your money, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

A solid lunch spot IMO. Portions are huge, and the food is pretty good as far as Midwest Chinese food goes. If you are from a city with good Chinese, like San Francisco or New York you will be disappointed. My go-to dish is the Salt and Pepper Chicken, but that is extremely unhealthy, so I also get the Tofu or the beef and broccoli. Vegetarians beware, the Tofu has pork in it for some reason. The noodles on the side are great, but again for health reasons I usually stick with white rice. For a snack(breakfast) they have Chinese buns, which are cheap and a nice breakfast snack. The BBQ pork one is my favorite, although you must be prepared for crunchy and fatty bits of pork in there.

This place is a super greasy guilty pleasure every once in a while. The BBQ fried rice is great, as is the won-ton soup. This is the only place I’ve seen that tries as hard as possible to give you the largest portion that will fit in their containers. Looks like they can give you a few extra pieces of chicken? Oh, let’s add a few more then. Go to 65 Asian Kitchen for a quick, cheap lunch + more than enough leftovers for dinner.

THIS is why I always check Unilocal before I go anywhere, and this is the one time I didn’t. Never again. Teriyaki«chicken»… this is not chicken. I don’t know what it is, but it ain’t chicken. I ate like 2 bites and decided I had to stop. Also, my mouth is on fire. Nope.

In my opinion, they serve the best Chinese Food in the Financial District. The prices are reasonable and portions are generous. I really like the Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. They have a lot of seating so it’s definitely good for groups. I never have to wait in line.

I come here for lunch pretty frequently. You can grab a big meal for about $ 7 – 9 and it will be about two meals. If you are short on time this is a good place to go as you can get in and out quickly. They also have lots of seating so its good for big groups. The food is good. I have had the beef and broccoli, but my favorite is their mongolian beef which is pretty spicy. Several friends I have love their egg foo young.

Ew. Just ew. Since i HAVE to give 1 star, I’ll say that the 1 star is for portion size. Because the portion I was given was in fact huge, but it was also in fact gross. If you’re okay with bland, soggy food… be my guest. Note: I had the orange chicken, white rice, and an egg roll. Ate a few bites and tossed it. Never again.

My favorite item is the salt and pepper chicken. A great cheap lunch in the loop, nothing fancy though, nor should it be. Gets you in and out of the place in minutes.

My friend wanted bubble tea so we stopped in. They use powder in their drinks and the tapioca was pre-made and not fresh. The drink honestly tasted decent, but I didn’t like the way they made it. Also, it was super duper dead, as in we were the only ones there when there is seating for 50, and felt more like a cafeteria.

I’ve grabbed lunch from 65 Asian Kitchen probably ten times over the past couple years, and have never went home hungry, broke, or sick, nor listened to complaints from friends or co-workers. All of which are good things in my book. My usual is the Broccoli Shrimp with White Rice. For a little over seven bucks, you get huge helping of rice and your main dish selection. Can’t beat it. Never had a problem dining in, as there are plenty of tables. Servers have always been friendly and the joint had always been fairly clean. The bathroom can get a bit sketchy, but what are you gonna do? For my money, this is the place to stop when I’m in the area and have a healthy hankering for some Chinese food. Definitely four-stars overall.

Best chinese food in the loop, outside of Chinatown and Argyle. I was impressed with their Cha Siu(Roast Pork) and their portions. They even have salt and pepper chicken! Normally you can order one or two choices and it comes with(shrimp fried rice, chicken fried rice, or singapore rice noodle, all three are excellent!) The choices normally are Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Roast Pork, etc. The prices aren’t bad either. Hands down best chinese food in the loop!

Lots of food for a low low price. The truth is I always feel buyers remorse after i’ve eaten there — I mean EVERYSINGLETIME Ive eaten there. I’ve also gotten sick on 2 occasions. You get what you pay for!

This is my go to joint for downtown quick Chinese food. Always a massive portion, and usually pretty tasty. I love their Mongolian beef, and their pork and string beans is pretty tasty as well when I’m in the mood for a few more veggies. Their chicken fried rice is also solid — more than just rice colored with soy sauce. My only complaint is that it can be a tiny bit on the oily side, but for what I’m paying and the quantity I’m getting, I will deal with it. I’m not sure I understand their math, though. The specials board always lists Mongolian beef as $X, but they never charge me that much, even when I tell them I have Mongolian beef. Whatever. Beats the pants off of Lai Lai. And especially with multiple locations, there’s no reason for *anyone* to *ever* go to Lai Lai.

Unfortunately Im addicted to this place. Im there at least twice a week. Good quality food, good portions at a great price. This is the only Chinese restaurant I go to in the Loop… For $ 7 bucks you get huge portions of an entrée with a huge portion of a side… If I order the same thing in my neighborhood I’d probably pay double. I always get the mongolian beef with BBQ pork chow mein… they have great fried rice and the egg rolls are o.k. the only CON is the food coma I get into when I go back to work…

huge huge huge portions. I try to tell the ladies to stop but they insist on filling every square inch of their containers. lots of variety too, BBQ pork, pot stickers, egg foo young, crab Rangoon, baos, bubble tea, entrees, soups and even cakes. the food here is similar to panda express but slightly more authentic. quality is pretty good although a bit greasy at times. for 6.50 you can get a large meal. I don’t go anywhere else for quick Chinese eats downtown.

Greasey. That’s how I like my Westernized Chinese food. I gotta admit, it doesn’t have much a selection compared to Panda Express down the street, but if you’re looking for a place that’s cheap and you don’t have to pop Tums or drink Pepto-Bismol after an oily fix, then this is the place for you. Portions are huge. I definitely recommend getting the BBQ Pork and using the leftovers to make your own fried rice. And if you can’t take in the grease, at least look at the cakes. Definitely pretty to look at.

The place has nice variety, plenty of seating, the food is cheap and the joint is tucked away right next to the board of trade. On to the things that I disliked about this place. I paid nearly $ 2 for a 10 oz bottle of juice. Are you kidding me? Let’s sell bread not by a sliced loaf, but in packages of 3 or 5 slices while we are it. After consuming all that salt and MSG the 10 ounces of juice made me thirstier afterwards. And speaking of afterwards, about two hours later my stomach gets very upset. The Mongolian Chicken w/Chicken Fried Rice did not settle well apparently(had nothing else to eat that day). First came the gas. Second came three trips to the restroom in one hour. After each restroom trip I feel the need to sit on a snow cone. I have stayed late at work nearly two hours now because I am afraid to be outside of a 20 yard radius of a restroom. I will be spending $ 10 on a taxi cab because if what I’m afraid may happen, actually happens, at least I won’t be known as the guy who crapped his pants on the CTA; things like that kind of embarrasses me and I’d rather crap my pants in a taxicab as there is minimal exposure. I also would like to mention the Chicken Fried Rice had chunks of either chicken or tofu, I honestly could not tell. The consistency, taste, and odor had me at a loss. I’m tired of Panda Express but at least it’s OK.

For just over $ 5 I can get enough absurdly delicious BBQ Pork Fried Rice to last me two days. You need more reasons to go? Fine. The folks behind the counter are friendly. The portions are huge for the money(and I’m currently an unpaid intern so I’ll take anything cheap and enormous… yes, yes. Hardy har har). They have great crab rangoon if you’re up for a splurge. Did I mention you can get like six pounds of fried rice for less than a pack of cigarettes? Love this place. Great loop staple.

Tucked in the back of 111, 65 is a cool little cafeteria/diner. Ample choices for food at reasonable prices makes it attractive, as do the selection of Asian style buns they have, filled with goodies such as curry beef, the barbeque meat(pork?) and ham/egg. Portion size is more than plentiful, and pricing is cheap by loop standards.
