I’d call this more of a holdover neighborhood tavern than a dive. The place is well-​maintained and clean. Prices not in line with a dive as well. A nice quiet place for a drink on Ashland. They could do with a little less ultimate fighting on the TVs.

This East Village dive is a great neighborhood bar, but no reason to travel far from the lake. Order a Modelo. The barkeep will either put lime and salt on your beer or present it to you to salt yourself. If I could add one thing to this place, it would be an athletic poster featuring women in sports bras. Oh, wait, there are tons of those here!
A victim of random crime, this place was shot-​up in July — the bartender at the time was sadly killed while working.
Four Stars for being what it makes itself to be: a bar to grab a drink, chat with friends, and relax.
