Anderson Brothers Storage and Moving Company

I had a good experience with Anderson Brothers. My business was moving several blocks away, and the new building required Union movers. I made several calls to other Union moving company’s and Anderson Brothers were the friendliest and most responsive. They sent a guy (Pat) out the very next day to take inventory of our office furniture, desks, etc. and sent me a quote by that afternoon. The whole team was great. We used their carpentry team as well to take apart and reassemble our trading desk. Extremely quick and efficient. As for the movers themselves, awesome guys. They were fast and gentle with our things, and came in under what we were quoted. I would definitely hire this company again.

I’ve been doing business with Anderson Brothers for many years, both for moving and storage, but an experience this week motivated me to write a review.
My son’s do-​it-​yourself moving truck fell through (tip: an online conformation from a truck rental company does NOT mean they will have a truck for you when you show up) and even thought it was one of the biggest moving days of the year, Anderson Bros. came through for us. My son was out of his old apartment on time, and Anderson stored everything overnight for the move in the next morning. When the old tenants weren’t out as agreed, AB’s agreed to come back the next day. They were on time and extremely helpful.
This three day moving challenge would have been a total nightmare without these guys. They could not have been more helpful, or careful with our things. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get in return. Everyone, from the office staff to the movers, gives excellent service.
We’ve also been very happy with their careful storage of family antiques.

I actually had a pleasant moving experience with them a few months ago. They were on time, courteous and got in, did their thing and got out. You do need to keep an eye on them though and pay very close attention to the bill. I would go as far as having a stop watch handy to make sure things add up. Also, if they charge you for the roll of tape, make sure they leave what is left over, same of any other equipment.
Still though, if you are looking for solid movers who know what they are doing, these guys are great.

Good at moving things, but shady billing practices trump their services. Scheduled a light move, three man job. We’re three blocks from the location on Sheffield, yet it took 25 minutes from when they left the yard at 8am to get there. Don’t worry, the clock starts at 8. Knowing they could drag just enough at the end to kick over into the next ½ of billable time, they stood around in the truck long enough at the end before it came time to calculate the job. Effectively, paid for 3.5 hours for 2.5 hours of work. Anticipate the same tactics!
The people are good at what they do, but if they were a little more responsible about how they conduct business I’d possibly refer others. Instead, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!
