Great place to watch bears and blackhawks games. Angie is always there and will welcome you by name. Pool table and juke box make for a good time.

I love Angie’s… She is a sweetheart… She gave us her hall for our baby shower for free… All the people who wrote negative reviews are haters… I love this lady and this place… Come by and see for yourself…

I have been to this bar a few times with close friends of Angies. Of course I didn’t expect her to remember me when I rented the space next to the bar for a party but I did expect her to be professional and courteous, since she’s a business woman. Well that did NOT happen. We arrived at the place and began to decorate. When the party started I was told that I still owed half of the payment. I told her NO, that I payed but she was insistent that I still owed her. I showed her a business card where they had written down the information and just said, oh. As the party progressed, her husband, was just there in the room. I didn’t give it much thought but my daughter brought it up to Angies attention and her response was that her husband was security. We have also been to the hall for parties and the times we have been there she has had NO security, especially not her husband. We felt very uncomfortable, we were being watched as if we were going to steal a broken chair or steal one if her nasty dirty tables. When the party was over, which was 2hrs earlier than agreed, because we felt very uncomfortable. I decided not to say thank you and just leave, so I asked my husband to let them know we were out of there and that the place was empty. Angies says to my husband «oh hello, so it was your party». So we were treated unfairly because she didn’t recognize me. So beware, you will be treated unfairly if you are not a close friend or a known acquaintance. Unfortunately my whole family felt watch, so I will never have another party there again. Thanks for nothing Angie.

I don’t care much for this place, but my buddy swears by it. Weird, coke addled ambiance with a touch of postal workers and a hooker thrown in for extra measure. Also, this place closes randomly. 11:23pm? LAST CALL. This place is clearly competing with Peek Inn for the gnarliest bar on the north side.

This place is a neighborhood nuisance. Loud, low class people. The owner also owns the house across the street and I think it’s a halfway house. Junkies are always coming and going from there. I wish this place would close.

Great place for a neighborhood drink. It’s no «Cheers» but eventually everyone will know your name and the prices are great. There’s a party room you can rent that’s pretty popular. Great place to go with friends.

This just came up on the side list because I looked at a place down the street. Angies 5 Stars? My foot! Maybe out of 100.
If you like drunk screaming postmen who should be out delivering your mail instead of being drunk and screaming and old guys looking at you like you did something wrong if you don’t go int here everyday this is your kind of place. It’s smelly and all the bartenders, even the new lady with short hair, get drunk and can break bad on you for no reason.
The food sucks since they fired the guy who ran his own kitchen out of the place a few years ago. Hey if I want frozen fried chicken cooked in the oven I’ll get it from Jewel. The only reason they get all the old time neighborhood business is she still runs tabs and trust me she doesn’t do you straight on those. It’s like payday loan interest in there. Mine is paid off and I won’t start one again.
There are some young people in there at night now but unless I’m meeting my one friend who likes it for some reason i won’t set foot in there. Five stars for that place. I almost fell off my chair. The place down the street I just gave 2 stars is 10 compared to them

Angies is a great place for a casual drink. The friendly staff will always remember your face if you a regular and know your drinks. Although its location is in an odd place it does stand out from many of the bars in Chicago. The pool table in the back always makes for a good time too.
