I like their Barbecue options … They make very fresh and looks very delicious. Only thing they make the price higher. It used to 15 $, I went yesterday to pick up my order and I see my bill was 19 $. The prices got higher looks a like and I order from the old menu. Make sure if u order for pick up at least 30 minute before. Cause the food takes at least half hour to be ready. Other than that it’s delicious amazing fresh foods they have.

The food was amazing. Generous serving sizes. The Cheesy naan was to die for. Absolutely loved the Palak Paneer. So yummy!!! The service was fast and pleasant. Don’t miss visiting this gem if you like good Indian/Pakistani food.

I’ve been here multiples times and ordered out a few times, very nice people for the most part, all I get is their frontier chicken rice and pakora chicken, the spiciest and most bomb as food ever, very nice joint!

I can’t speak to how good the food is since I am still waiting for my delivery after an hour and 50 min. Google maps states that this place is 10 minutes from my house so I’m not sure why I have had to wait this long. A call to the restaurant 20 min ago just stated that the driver was on their way. Nobody likes waiting for food when they are hungry so I advise against doing delivery here.

I want to update my review because the restaurant has reached out to me and has apologized for the previous mishap. Customer service means a lot to me and Anmol does a great job correcting issues individuals have. Thank you.

As the daughter of two Indian immigrants, I grew up eating authentic Indian food day in and day out(much to my dismay at the time) for approximately 18 years. Even when we decided to go out for dinner, my parents would still choose a restaurant that featured South Asian cuisine. We live in a part of California heavily populated by Asians, so I like to think I’ve been to some of the best South Asian restaurants in the country. This was my first Desi experience in Chicago. The restaurant struck me initially as «nicer» because it appeared newer and clean. Some of the most authentic places I’ve gone to feature an older space, large crowds, plates and silverware of questionable cleanliness, etc. Anmol BBQ seemed very safe relative. The menu is extensive. It offers chicken, mutton, seafood, vegetarian entrees, etc. Some of the descriptions of the food are hilarious, by the way. The Rasmalai was described as, «milk based donuts in a sweet milky syrup». I legitimately laughed. This isn’t a bad way to describe what Rasmalai is to someone who’s unfamiliar, but I can’t remember a time where I didn’t already know. We ended up ordering the Chicken Makhani, Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, Gulab Jamun, and I had a Salty Lassi. I’ll start with the things I liked: Good: Chicken Makhani, Naan, and Gulab Jamun. The chicken was rich, flavorful, and tender. The naan was not too thick, and the gulab jamun came with kulfi, which actually added a really nice touch. Eh: My lassi was plain, not salty. I have this problem at the majority of Indian restaurants that I go to, even at home. Not sure why. The paneer was underwhelming. They gave us a small side of raita that had a weird flavor to it. Clearly, I’m picky with my yogurt. Overall, it was good. Total came out to $ 36 for so much food. If you check in, you can get a free dessert with your entrée. Also, for all you other first generations, there was a bucket of water next to the toilet and I even got some prolonged stares from a few aunties. Talk about an authentic experience lmao.

Awesome food. I guess it’s Pakistani? Lots of meat on the menu, of course, as it has barbecue in the name. Very tasty. I found it different than Indian food, but maybe«better» than Indian. One negative for me: they don’t sell alcohol. I asked about BYOB, and was told that this restaurant has a «no alcohol» policy. That’s a personal choice, but a restaurant in Chicago that doesn’t allow BYOB is at a disadvantage. Lots of non-Muslim diners here. They were very friendly & helpful with the menu. Dinner for two was about $ 30, with plenty to take home.

Sampler #1, Palak Paneer, the special of the day Biryani, and an Onion Naan provided an amazing meal for two at the restaurant and 3 – 4 tastes of paradise for a couple of days after. The food is incredible. The service was attentive, but not overwhelming. This may be my new favorite on Devon and look forward to the next meal from here.

Anmol used to serve really good food in the past. Although, going there quite recently, I would say their food changed a lot. The chicken kabobs we got were a little undercooked with a rubbery taste to them. The garlic naan also did not have much flavor. The two stars are for the service, the waiters and management were friendly. They cooperated with us well and were respectful. Their food could use drastic improvement.

This restaurant only serves authentic cuisines from back home(Pakistan/India). Every single item on the menu is prepared fresh upon order, the Biryani and the curries are fantastic but the best of the best in this restaurant would obviously be the barbeque items. The barbeque here is otherworldly. Literally, if you think southerners can can grill, wait till you eat here! Come here and see what’s what. Beef so tender and juicy, you’d want to showcase it instead. Knowing how most are skeptics, this is why their meat is truly superior; the animals are humanly slaughtered, their blood, drained. This is done to ensure the meat served is not only the best tasting but also the healthiest. Chocolate Kulfi(pictured).

Another good indo-pak restaurant in devon avenue. The kabab items are exyremely good. Also chicken karahi, mutton karahi, goat biriyani were also too good. Definitely recommend others.

Perfect service and meal for tonight’s dinner. Even though it was busy the staff was very attentive. Food came out in no time! We tried some new dishes today, which were great. Definitely try the veggie curries with the garlic naan. Yum! Will be coming back for more.

Food is decent but waitress are rude and very unfriendly. I would not wantvto go to a place where food is delived as if your are a burdon. Get them off the customer servie and either train them or fire them. People go out to eat not to see a lousy unwelcome face at the front desk

OMG the mixed grill in this place is amazing it was so tender and soft and succulent. I have lived 23 years in London with one of the best desi restaurants, but I have not tasted anything so soft and succulent. Don’t get me wrong it was quite spicy but it was one of those dishes I couldn’t get enough of. The décor was very minimal, it seemed very much so like a cafeteria but the food more than makes up for it. The restaurant had a very subtle atmosphere, but very substantial for Devon st restaurant. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was amazing, she really looked after us and gave really good recommendations. I didn’t try any of the curries or rice dishes but I usually can cook those kind of food at home. The way their kebabs are cooked on a traditional coal fire is something amazing with their marinated meat. Deffo a place I would visit again.

Place it’s alright. Ordered 2 different plates, the Briani and the platter #3. First the Briani was a waste of my money, not tasty at all — will not recommend the briani at all. Platter#3 was great. Fresh chicken, fresh food, well cooked, beautifully presented. I recommend this plate.
