Applebee’s

Came here on Monday night MLK day with my entire family (six of us). Ordered appetizers & burgers which is $ 6.99 any burger Monday special. We requested medium-​well cooked on all burgers & all burgers came back with too much pink meat which was uncomfortable to eat. Didn’t want to send our food back because it took our waiter too long to bring all the food out because he walked somewhat like a sluggard.
Waiter never asked if he could refill our water, never asked if we wanted dessert (just brought us our check), and never asked if we wanted a doggy bag for our left overs.
We had to get up & walk over near kitchen to ask for our fries and ask for a condiment. Then wave our hands around to ask waited that we were ready for him to take our credit card for payment.
I love Applebee’s but this kind of service ruins everything

Horrible all around… Service… TERRIBLE! Food… AWFUL! My niece brought me here to treat me to a birthday lunch. All we ordered were appetizers and even though the menu said appetizers were half price every day at 3pm and 9pm (we were there just after 3pm), our waiter couldn’t figure out WHICH ones were half price on what days… We ordered anyway. Drinks were warm with very little ice (all we ordered was iced tea and soda). Food came cold without the condiments we ordered (blue cheese dressing with our boneless wings). The chicken quesadilla smelled like metal cleaner (did they rinse the grill after spraying it with chemicals??) Then, when we asked for silverware (which they forgot to give us), one of the waiters said they were so busy in the back, but they were rolling some and he would have his boss bring it out in about ten minutes… What??? So we waited. When we finally got our check, we were charged full price for two of the three things we ordered. Then, when my niece went to pay with her gift card, our original waiter made some rude comment and laughed at her. We will NEVER patronize this Applebee’s unless they get a new manager who hires COMPETENT servers! I hope we don’t get sick from what we did our in our mouths!!!

Great food cheap prices what else can ask for… service kind of slow though

Went on black friday, not that crowded. Pretty decent environment. Our server was nice. Our lunch combo came pretty quickly. But was disappointed that the only dressing they had for the house salad was ranch… but other than that, it was an okay experience.

Since I had a bad experience at the Applebees in Evergreen Park over 10 years ago, I havent been back to ANY Applebees. Yesterday my daughter talked me into going to the one at Ford City. I must say it was a wonderful surprise! We ordered Apps from the 3 for $ 13 menu thinking they were gonna be these lil bitty portions. Well you should have seen our faces when the 6 plates arrived!!! I had the «small» salad which was actually a dinner plate of salad topped with REAL bacon, the spinach artichoke dip was fantabulous and the double crunch wings with asian chile sauce were to die for!!! We were so full we didnt even order entrees! I forgot our servers name but she was wonderful! Im planning on going again today and I hope she’s working!!!

I’m never setting foot inside this place again. I ordered a burger and requested «no bacon», as I don’t eat pork. Burger arrives loaded with bacon. I sent it back. Ordered a pomegranate Long Island Iced Tea. Tasted like snow cone syrup. I sent it back. Dined with someone else from the 2 for $ 20 menu. We both took entrees home. $ 20 for both of us, plus 2 beers for him. Bill? $ 100! Why? We were charged for everything individually, including the items we sent back. The food we kept was less than mediocre. Never again.

Poor Customer Service from our waitress Carmen. We purchased appetizers and never received any plates nor napkins. The hostess Jasmin was great with a positive attitude and that is why she received a tip instead of our waitress. Good job Jasmin after spending $ 60.00 for a meal and poor customer service from the waitress you made our visit a little better.

So I vowed that I’ll never go here. Even after I read the reviews I really didn’t wanna go here. Ugh.
So we get in and first off we get seated by the toilets and the kitchen area. Which I didn’t understand, cos there were a couple of different tables open.
We ordered our food and our mozzarella sticks came out. And they were delicious. I really enjoyed them. Milk shakes were fine.
But then our burgers came out. They got one burger wrong because they forgot the lettuce. I only asked for lettuce on my burger and the gave me garnish. My mother didn’t want anything on her burger and thy gave her garnish also. Hated the idea of it! My lettuce was soaked in tomato and pickle juice! And burger bottom was wet from the lettuce.
The fries. THE FRIES. These fries were the nasty hard fries from the bottom of the bag. They were ALL HARD. very upsetting.
Thur the middle of my meal they kept the door to the men’s room open. So basically I seen things I didn’t wanna see.
Our waiter passed us 7 times never asked how things were going until the check arrived. Then he never picked it up. We were ready to leave this terrible place.
We saw the manger and ask «can you PLEASE get us our server we want to go»
Of course she comes to the back and brings us ANOTHER CHECK. Didn’t ask what did need or anything. She leaves the check. We called her back and said no we want to leave she finally processed out our check and we left.
Never asked if we wanted a box or anything. Terrible.
The workers walk around acting like they don’t care. But if people don’t want to come into the restaurant. It makes no money and the place closes and u guys have no jobs.

Came here once & vowed to never ever return. Food was whatever; service was about the same but a lack of training was very evident. You literally can’t pay these people to smile. This location is in need of a complete & thorough staff overhaul.

The lunch crew is perfect my food comes out hot and my appetizers always come before my entrée. But it never fails the night crew mess up my food
1) my entrée was cold
2) my entrée came before my appetizer.
3)the fact I actually had to ask for my appetizer pissed me off
4) the waitress turned around and told me that my waiter put my appetizer order in a few minutes after my entrée (how that matters I don’t know because the meaning of appetizers is to have it before the entrée)
5) the Caesar salad barely had dressing then when I asked for more they looked at me like a was crazy plus the lettuce was wilted
My experience on April 6 2015 was so bad we didn’t eat our food didn’t pay and went down the street to tgif Fridays were my food and service was top notch

Ok lets start with Problem #1. Last week my mom and i came here for lunch. Our server had to have been the most ridiculous and rude person in life. She did not introduce herself. I had to ask her name and she gave it to me with such damn attitude. I asked for a mudslide. She didnt ask for my i. d so i voluntarily presented to her. 30 min later she comes back with no food only to tell me they didnt have mudslides. i let it go. 20 min later our food arrives. Totally wrong. i reiterated to her what i asked for and she decides to become combative. I let it go again. Apparently shes having a bad day because she didnt once come back to our table period. I literally had to go look for her to get the check. She come back with it but did not take my payment. I walked to the front and had the manager process it smh
Ok heres day 2. Maybe 2 weeks later which was yesterday .
I order the same thing i order all the time. our server Brandon was amazing and my food was perfect.UNTIL.a long black piece of hair wrapped around my sirloin. i almost puked right then and there. i asked the first server i saw to look and take it away. He said he was gonna bring another one out. 10 min later my food or lack there of came out and the top of it looked like vomit. I called the manager over (same manager from the last incident) and he admitted that it looked very disgusting. But he did NOTHING to accommodate. i mean NOTHING…
I WILL NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER COME TO THIS UNORGANIZED AND DISGUSTING PLACE AGAIN
Sad part is, i use to come there alot and leave 20.00 tips at a time. NEVER AGAIN. they can keep their ghetto, highly unprofessional servers.
Everyones hair (weave) is long and barely pulled back when i was in there. so damn disgusting smh

Took my daughter to dinner thinking this would be perfect after shopping. Ordered the drink special $ 4 Long Island. Came in a large Pilsner glass and tasted lil a weak wine cooler. Our food was served without silverware, our drinks no straws. The waitress was personable, but don’t waste your time if you’re looking for attention to detail

Worst service ever. Went in with a party of 6 and waited 30 min to be seated even though the restaurant was only half full. When they finally seated us, 15 min went by and no one came by to ask us if we needed drinks. We asked to speak to a manager and they sent a server instead and acted like nothing happened. Worse service ever, I’ve been there before and never experienced that. What upset me the most is that their restaurant was not even half full. Definitely wont be going back to this location

I think I saw Bigfoot more than I’ve seen my waitress. On a plus side all the food came out at different times and most of it was cold. It’s ok though, we had empty glasses of drinks to comfort is through this experience.

Service was great but this is the worst run down Applebee’s I’ve ever been to, I ordered the house margarita with my lunch it was so sweet and didn’t taste like liquor at all then I ordered the patron margarita and it was really bad. It looked awful. The waiters and waitresses are good they just need to replace inventory or something. Limes looked very old my glass looked dirty or things swimming in there

They provide the worst customer service. Amanda the manager, is really rude and not helpful with anything. The food is disgusting and burned. The utensils aren’t washed properly. Next time you come visit this ghetto location, pay attention to the forks, cups etc. Disgusting!!!

We frequent this place often. They just reopened after remodeling. They now have fancy new booths, carpet and have 8 tv’s that are visible. Britney was our waitress, she was courteous, considering it’s 10:30 pm. Food was tasty!

Top review based on food only:
Applebee’s is one of your top good ol American cuisine dine in type restaurant. The burgers are made to order from fresh ground beef. The steaks are cook to order as well. They are the best tasting steaks I have had, even at steak houses like Longhorn. They also have diverse pastas and salads which are all delicious. For those who dine in regularly know we have food campaigns every few months. They brings in bold new flavors and dishes that really excite your palate.
As for the service: A lot of the time your server feeds of your energy and mood. So if you come into the restaurant with a stinky mood and crappy attitude then guess what? You are going to have a bad time. We are not therapist we cannot decipher your mood and fix your problems. That’s not our job.
Also it’s not our job to point out ingredients you don’t like in your food. We don’t know. It’s your responsibility to read the entire ingredients list for the item you choose. Don’t get angry at your server when the Double barrel whiskey sirloin you ordered comes with red peppers and you have a phobia for the veggie. Lastly keep in mind the laws of heat. Heat shrinks items cold expands them. So the next time you order a Well Done steak remember it will be smaller and a tad bit drier then the Medium rare steak.

I haven’t been to an Applebee’s in maybe 15 years before I went to this one a few days ago. It did not disappoint. The hostess was nice, our server stayed on top of our refills (which is a huge pet peeve of mine), and our food was out in a timely manner. Their spinach/​artichoke dip is pretty good and my ribs with veggies weren’t bad. My only issue was that our table was sticky.
The manager came out and greeted all of the tables which is a plus. Just keep on the bus boys about the tables.
