After reading the reviews of these two maggots(E L. and Jonathan S.), I have decided to set the record straight. First off, I have been using this laundry since April 2002. In fact, I am planning on going there tomorrow. As for the comment E L. made about the manager disrespecting customers… WHO? and WTF? are you talking about? The owner and his children are some of the most polite people that I have met in Chicago. Furthermore, about the comment about«anger directed towards non-whites» I AM A BLACKMANANDTHEYHAVEBEENEXCEPTIONALLYPROFESSIONALANDKINDTOME! My clothes have always come out just fine… my work uniforms included. Also, E L. ASWITHANYPUBLICFACILITY… YOUAREADVISEDTOCHECKTHEMACHINEBEFOREYOUSHOVEYOURLAUNDRYINTOIT… THATNUGGETOFCOMMONSENSEISASOLDASPUBLICLAUNDRYMATS! About your ‘friend’(I doubt that this occurred), the quarters are for use by customers for that day… and for the Archer Central Coin Laundry. The change machine is not to be used so that ‘your friend’ could use them at another laundry. I have visited the vending machines several times and the snacks are just fine. Furthermore, about snacks… YOUARE A LIAR… expiration dates are not added to most individual items when they are purchased in bulk… the ‘fresh by stamp’ on some items is merely a suggestion and is almost always several months away… the preservatives which are added to EVERY snack item per the FDA insures that these items have an extremely long shelf life. In short, this reviewer was upset and decided to lie about a great place. The disjointed nature of your comments, the overuse of emotion and opinion, the lack of concrete evidence and professional style of a valid concern or complaint sums up your attempt to discredit this establishment. To put things in a perspective which you, with your limited grasp, would understand… you seem to be the type of person that would argue and complain about a traffic light being red… in fact, you would blame your tardiness on the traffic light and not the fact that you did not plan accordingly. Stop using Unilocal and educate yourself. Jonathan S.. «HALFTHEMACHINESDON’T WORK»… when was this??? I was there throughout December 2015 and I have never experienced ‘half of the machines’ not working! be honest and less emotional, you are exaggerating because you were either over-burdened or angry.

Can I give ZERO stars? This place is awful. It is right by the bus line which is my only means of transportation so I came here few times but never again. Everytime I tried to give benefit of the doubt they proved unworthy of my hard earned purchasing power. The manager has disrespected so many customers and became loud and angry with them for no reason. That anger tends to be geared toward nonwhites according to my observations. They rush you out while still washing even if you put your clothes in before their 9:30pm last wash deadline on a Saturday night. They are not accommodating to customers who have the need to wash evenings. They overcharge because the machines are too expensive and the clothes never get clean or dry in their filthy machines. Prepare to shell out tons of quarters to dry a small load. My white clothes collected the washer windows hidden black mold and when I mentioned it I was told to look at a sign saying they’re not responsible for damages. ITWASTHEIRMACHINE that did it!!! Wow! My friend told me she was chased down like a fugitive when she cashed in cash for quarters She decided to use them the following morning at 6am after she went in and saw how ridiculously crowded it was but the manager chased her like a junkyard dog to say she was violating the businesses rights and police would be called of she didn’t give the quarters back. She actually got her $ 20 bill back and told him she wouldn’t go back ever again. I bought something from a vending machine and it was expired. The young woman who I asked for a refund from was acting like she was doing me a big forbidden favor by refunding me. This place sucks! Only come if you need a huge machine to wash soiled factory work clothes. I wouldn’t put nice clothes I these machines if I were you. I ruined my button up work tops when putting them in these dryers. They came out of the dryer with sticky gum like stuff. Again, it wasn’t their problem. I inspect each machine before hand but these machines need maintaining from a professional to deep clean them and replace old worn out parts but they apparently won’t pay to do so. Their wash machine credit card swipe authorizes $ 15.75 in addition to the cost of the machine($ 3.75 for small two load machine) until 3 days later.

This is the worst laundromat in the world. Management starts closing at 8:30PM, even though the hours of operation are posted as closing at 11:00PM. HALFTHEMACHINESDONTWORK and to top it off, they start closing off rows of machines, forcing you to cram in with everyone else to use the few operable machines left. STAYAWAY!
