I recall going here after a 2014 Bourbon County Stout beer release at Whole Foods for a quick lunch bite, and I don’t know how the rest of the side menu items(i.e. cannolis, italian beef sandwiches, etc) are. Can say it was fine going here, just to get their pizza slice and soda lunch special. The cheese wasn’t bad, and the cornmeal on the crust was nice. I’ve had better slices at other places(i.e. Aurelio’s), and I’ve also had worse too(i.e. Italian Fiesta Pizza on the south side). It fit the bill fine, since I was looking for a quick bite to eat option that wasn’t a Dunkin Donuts or Subway. If you hit this place earlier rather than later(seem to recall seeing heat lamps behind the counter, boourns), you’ll probably have the best experience instead of later in the day.

Pizza was decent, for 5.00 u get a large slice and a drink. Large salad was 7.95. 13.00 for lunch might seen high but I took the salad home for dinner.

Are they still open? I’m surprised. Way too pricy for the junk food they offer. The manager isn’t friendly. The place isn’t taken care of. The food order was screwed up and the food burnt on several last occasions.

Big thumbs down here. Went in today for a couple slices — I like trying new places. It’s New York style and in New York fashion, they serve pizza by the slice. Unlike New York(or anywhere that serves slices) the guy didn’t offer to warm it up for me. I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Italian sausage and peppers. The pepperoni was really tough — obviously sitting under a heat lamp for a while. The flavor was mediocre. The crust on the sausage and pepper was so pastey and undercooked that I couldn’t finish it. With so many pizza places within a block, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Although the pizza here is very good, the service has been not good the past few times. We have called ahead orders now twice for pickup. The first time the order was not ready in the time they said. I went to pick up my order and was told it’d be another 5 minutes but ended up waiting for 15. And even then, the pizza was undercooked. This second time I was told 30 – 40 minutes for pickup. I arrive at 40 minutes to pick it up and I am told it will be an additional 20 minutes before my order is ready. It seems as though the cooks had forgotten about the orders. Very annoying.

After we waited for an hour and a half, we called and were told its on the way with no apology! After another 30 minutes we called and asked for a manager, and got the owner PETER. The owner stated«the pizza had already left», and didn’t care in the least that we had waited that long. After hearing zero remorse in his voice, I stated«do you feel two hours is a bit too long for a pizza» and his response was«DOYOUTHINK I GIVE A SHITIF I GIVEYOU A FREEPIZZA»!!! Do yourself a favor and order from anywhere else!!!

Unfortunately we were declined service by an older gentleman. He refused to fill our order @10:45PM because they closed @ 11PM. We will not ever order here because of the rude service.

Your options here are a sad looking slice of pizza kept under a lamp or a looooooong wait for a pizza. We got a 14 inch pizza and it took almost 40 minutes. We were one of two tables, so this was not a «dinner rush» situation. Not worth the time or money. Head to Moretti’s.

The Italian beef is amazing here, this spot is located between Norwood park and Edison park and it’s a gem of a place the classic Italian pizzeria vibes and the great food are worth the trip out here!

The past few times I’ve ordered delivery from here, it’s been awful. They say 45 min to an hour. Last time it was 90 minutes. Tonight: Ordered at 6:22pm. Was told 45 min to an hour. At 7:51pm, still no pizza. Called to get an ETA. Was told it was on the way, any minute. No apology. Guy sounded irritated. 8:13pm. Pizza arrived. Luke warm. I am a very regular customer. My last 4 – 5 experiences have gone this way. I’m done with this place. They have good pizza, but this is ridiculous. Superossa it is!

When I work in this area, I go to Armand’s for a quick slice. It’s a thin-crust-quarter-of-a-pizza slice. There are a lot of other options around there, but I’m on the clock so I need a place that has a slice ready to go. They have cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and veggie. All of them are really good. The crust is my favorite part. It is the perfect amount of crisp and grit. It’s especially amazing when the pizza has just come out of the oven-so warm and gooey.

One star is deserved when you plan for dinner with kids; order a pizza at 6:15pm and at 7:50 pm there’s still no pizza. When I called the restaurant the guy on the other end was very short and told me pizza had left and it’ll be there in 15 minutes ½ hour ago. 1st time ordering from here via grub hub and I never got to try their pizza. Maybe it’s for the better… If you need a fast dinner I wouldn’t risk it.

We recently picked up a roast beef and giardinara pizza and it was just incredible. I’m always arguing that Chicago has the best pizzas, but that’s usually my knee-jerk response. Truth be told, few pizza joints wow me anymore. Armand’s, however, has reignited my love with Chicago pizzas. I wish I could identify what makes it so much better than other pizzerias, but I think it’s a multitude of factors. I highly recommend this joint.

Grabbed a slice here before catching a show at the Wip. It was a Friday night and the place was completely empty. Maybe that should’ve been a sign but one that I didn’t heed. The man at the register(who had to have been at least seasoned there, because the other clerk kept on looking to him for guidance) seemed rather frazzled. I asked for a cheese slice when my friend noticed that the cheese had been touching the pepperoni slices(most pizzeria joints allow for veg-friendly pizzas to coexist with each other, instead of mixing veg and non-veg pizzas together in front of the warmer). He looked bothered by my request for a slice that hadn’t been in contact with a pepperoni slice(a lot of vegetarians are not comfortable with their food being in contact with meats), so he slapped the other pizza slice down, and grabbed another slice and put it on the same cross-contaminated plate. By this point I just didn’t want to be a bother and sat down. My friend grabbed a coffee, which took upwards of 10 minutes for the same clerk to make. The man wasn’t at all tentative to his customer service as he was to whatever reality tv was coming on the telly in the store. Pizza slice was okay, about ¼ of a pie for $ 4 and some change. My friend’s coffee was Folgers from a can, she had nothing to say about it. If you can, skip this place. The only good think about this place was the female clerk who at least tried to remain attentive to her customers.

Eh, I’m kinda on the fence about Armand’s. Here’s why. We decided to carry out pizza from Armand’s about a week ago. I was sick as a dog and didn’t really want to leave the house, but my other half insisted that some fresh air might do me good. We were driving down Northwest Highway and saw Armand’s, and figured it would be a good place to pop in and order a pizza for take-out. 1) the menu is pretty good. I like the«Pizza Nova’s» that they offer — with no red sauce. Sometimes, I don’t want red sauce. Whatever. We walked in, and there were three people behind the counter. Took cooks, and who I assume was the owner, on the phone taking an order. No one said hello or even looked up. We looked over the menu, and asked a couple of questions, to which we got pretty short answers. «What’s that?!» «It’s a yardstick pizza.» … okay. Then, we went to the register to order. And were ignored. And ignored. And ignored. The manager/owner/whoever he was walked away. The chefs did nothing to summon him back. We just stood there, to the point where I looked at my boyfriend and said, «we can go up the street to Moretti’s.» Well, Mr. Ignore-y man finally came back, and we placed our order. 2) My BF ordered a yardstick, which is a helluvalot of pizza. Neither of us realized it. Mr. Owner/Manager/Whoever, asked us for how many people. When we said 2, might you think he had offered us a regular pizza instead?(A yardstick, I later learned, serves 8 – 10 people.) Nope. He just rang it though. No wonder it took such a long time. I felt like we were sitting there waiting for it forever. I can’t say that I’ll be running back… the pizza was okay, I like the cornmeal in the crust, and it wasn’t undercooked. Topping choices are plentiful, but, the service seriously needs some work.

Cute little beer list. Good prices. Friendly staff. Crappy pizza. Too bad, so sad. Cheese and crust, especially the heavy cornmeal coating, leave a lot to be desired.

THIS is what you get after waiting for nearly 2 hours when you order from Armand‘s in Edison Park. This burnt cheese covered cardboard arrived late and cold. I swear to god, i’ve had day old pizza that was warmer, softer, and more flavorful. And dont ask about the stale, hard garlic bread. I think it was from yesterday too. The store called to clarify my order, and after telling me the price would change, hung up on me while I asked what the new price was. I called to talk to the manager. He was unable to conceal his couldnt-care-less attitude on the phone. He took no responsibility for the problem, and couldnt even be troubled to apologize. He asked me ‘what do you want me to do, send you another one?’ … and wait another 2 hours for a cold pizza? No thanks. I will NEVER be ordering from these clowns again. I am leaving now to get my money back. UPDATE: So, I go to the store and return the burnt cheese and cardboard, and the manager comes to process the refund. The manager is an older white guy, who also failed to apologize or ask what was wrong, or really. say much of anything. He processed the refund, and I was on my way(to Rosati’s). The important take away here … this place is not trustworthy. They deceived me when I called to talk to the manager, by putting some nobody line-cook on the phone, who confirmed he was the manager when he was not. There are way too many things wrong with this place, and I will be seeking out a discussion with higher levels of management.

I frantically went here trying to find lunch to serve some hard-working movers that were at our home. The staff was friendly and the time it took to get my order was average. I ordered 4 different take-out sandwiches. They were very generous with the meat, but the chicken one was a bit dry. The bread was fresh and tasty and the sandwiches themselves were large and quite flavorful. Overall I wasn’t blown away by this experience, but it was a decent meal with friendly service. I won’t be rushing back here, but it’s very likely I will return at some point since they are not far from me and the food was good.

Ahhh, late night pizza at a joint that was still open at 2am? Not sure if it was the fact that i had been drinking, but the huge slice of pepperoni pizza I had was quite tasty. If I’m every at the Snuggery late night again(which I will), I’ll be back for another snack attack.
