Beautiful selection of paintings, oils, candles, knick-knacks, many items! I felt so peaceful at this store and really wanted to buy something! I’ll return for sure :)

Very charming. The store is small, but it has a nice variety of items that can really make a room pop. They have a wonderful selection of drinking glass that are really unique and would match any décor. It’s nice to find something that is truly different and still extremely sturdy. The wall art was also extremely attractive and gave me some great ideas about our home. Everything is priced extremely reasonably, and there are always wonderful sales going on. Right now, for example, everything is 20% off and there is a buy 5 get the 6th deal on the glasses. The gentleman that was running the shop yesterday was extremely friendly. He briefed us on the specials and chatted about the neighborhood. He also gave us copies of a Chicago magazine about interior decorating. The magazine was free, but I’m sure it would have been at least a $ 7 magazine if we had gone to Borders. I’ll be back as soon as we need something for our new condo.

Asian imports and furniture. There are a lot of these shops, but this one looks as if some real care has gone into the selection. Many predictable objects, and some really unusual stuff — some gorgeous jewelry in the window is what pulled me in. Prices are not too bad, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

With the glut of faux-cultural imports flooding stores from Cost Plus to Target, it was an utter joy to find truly grounded Thai imports at this beautiful and peaceful little shop in Andersonville. The hand-chosen stock is beautiful and grounded, and the prices are excellent. Loved speaking with the staff, who offered advice not only on choosing the right statue, but lessons on proper placement in my home. Whether you’re searching for exquisite Thai and Tibetan furniture, art or simple housewares, you must check this out.

Don’t be put off by the teak-and-Buddha look of this store, which may recall bad Cost Plus experiences. Baan imports genuine Thai antiques and reproductions, many of which are made by hand. Yes, there are plenty of chests and vases, but there’s also some fine furniture, similar to what’s being offered up the street at Urbanest but much better made. If you’re unwilling to go the whole Asian hog, Baan also sells candles, glasses, and spa goods, such as bath salts and all-natural soaps. It’s a nice addition to the«housewares» strip of Clark south of Foster, which includes The Wooden Spoon, Foursided, and Marguerite Gardens.

I really love this store. Most of the items here are straight from Thailand. My favorite items are the glassware. I bought the best small hand-crafted glasses with a pale green tinted rim. No two are exactly the same so they have a lot of character. I think all the glassware is buy 5 get the 6th glass free(or something like that).
