This is a great neighborhood restaurant that takes you on a little tour of Italy. I have always been a huge fan of family-owned Italian restaurants. I started of with the grilled octopus appetizer, and the sauce was amazing! Bread was warm and delicious. Martinis were on point and our server was a sweet heart! I had the veal picante and it was very tender and the lemon-wine sauce was great too! If you’re ever in the West Town area this is a must for traditional Italian. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Very impressive meal! This was my first visit and it was a tip from a regular customer who always mentions how great the food here is. It was a work lunch and they were quick, friendly and delicious! Very accommodating. Sometimes it’s good to go to places that aren’t the newest or the trendiest and instead you get classic, home style service and food. We tried the shells and broccoli, cheese ravioli, the house salad, a chicken dish and calamari. All was spot on, flavorful Italian fare, better than most Italian places I’ve been to. I’m not normally a pasta lover either, and here I truly enjoyed it. The prices are so reasonable and the food so plentiful that you have leftovers to spare. I would drive out of my way to come back for this food. You should, too. Salute.

Have never been here, but ordered from Postmates for delivery and the food was delicious, and a TON of food at that. The Chicken Marsala was absolutely fantastic and will be ordering again soon.

I love Bella Notte. The grilled calamari and octopus was great, as was the broccoli salad, meatballs, and my dining partner liked the veal marsala. The service is good, and Jan is the best server! The desserts are good, with a flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake being the best. Good spot for Italian style food and plenty of selection on the menu.

This place is amazing! Whether you are eating there or ordering in. The abundance of food you get is in true Chicago fashion! Mountains of bread with butter for an enternaty, food portions that could fill the great lakes and days of left overs! I honestly laugh when I see how many bags of food I get when the he delivery person gets here. Even when I try to order modestly, its just impossible, unless maybe I order one meatball and pick it up? Anyways I recommend anything on the menu, but usually get the tortiglioni carbonata, the chicken marsala and the chopped salad. All of which are incredible(especially the carbonata)! I get all half orders and have enough food for 3+ guests. I honestly feel like its an Italian thanksgiving when I order here! So amazing! I love this place and has been my primary Italian take out for the past 4 years! Thank you for all your years of consistency and all the amazing food!

We ordered Bella Notte from GrubHub this evening and GrubHub delivered us the wrong order. We called the restaurant and they were incredibly helpful. They offered to refund us completely or re-send a new order(even though the fuck up wasn’t on their end). We asked for a re-send and one of the restaurant employees hand delivered our food. We could tell it was prepared and sent over immediately since everything was still really hot. We enjoyed the food but the customer service was truly fantastic!

Dined with Bella Notte with friends visiting from out of town. The atmosphere is really cool with Greek/Roman columns and interesting art work combined with a cozy feel. The service was good but the best part(of course) was the food. The portions were huge and lots of food to take home for my next meal. I had the Lobster Fradiavolo with incredible spicy tomato sauce. Overall great Italian restaurant! I will definitely be back and recommend to others.

THISPLACEISGREAT! We came in after 7:00 on a Friday night with a party of eight. We were celebrating a good friend’s birthday and had been turned away from another place(even though we had a reservation). We were welcomed with a smile and they accommodated us within 20 minutes! Our server, Z, was a DOLL! He made sure we had everything we needed and the food was FABULOUS! They even put the candles on the birthday cake and helped us sing to our friend. And we were shocked at how affordable everything was! LOVETHISPLACE!

I have nothing but amazing and great things to say about this place. The food was excellent, fresh and plentiful! The service was extraordinary and the waiter Z was the sweetest man ever! We happened upon this resturant after being disgusted by the service at M Vie! I will definitely visited Bella Notte again. $ 300 well spent!!! Five stars!!!

I have been coming here for years ANDWILLNOTRETURNAGAIN. Zenaldo Was a server who treated us like patrons from«Denny’s.@ He forgot to, Bring my spouse his Cocktail, and before we knew it appetizers were being served. the serviced was rushed, sloppy and impersonal, and I found the quality of the food to, be quite deteriorated. the food was piled on the tables I, had to, return the us pulp because it was cold, the escarole salad was floating in vinegar, salty and disgusting! the waiter had no, personality and A complete lack of concern for any type of customer service. I, agree with the prior review, whereby there are MANYBETTER Italian Restaurants in the city to choose from. I am very saddened that this place Has slipped. Something is definitely going south with this establishment! you will be quite disappointed! I am a true foodie!

It was pretty meh to be quite honest. The food isn’t that great. Server was ok, good was ordinary. really nothing that good. Two stars to me is reasonable considering I will not bother going there again as there are far too many better restaurants in Chicago and there’s a ton I haven’t even tried

My friends and I went here while we were in town over Memorial Day Weekend. As a native New Yorker with Italian blood, I can tell you that this place is truly magnificent. Not only did we receive top notch service(and the treatment one gets only from dining at a small family-owned establishment), but the food was simply off the charts. We started with martinis(which were wonderful and strong) and I had the ½ veal parm. Honestly, the melted cheese on top was more difficult to cut than the meat. The sauce was perfectly done as well. It was sublime; I cannot say enough good things about the dish. The atmosphere itself was wonderful and reminded me of being back home at a family dinner in Brooklyn. If you don’t try this place, you’re seriously missing out!

This place is consistently good. Keep in mind that their half-portion size is big enough to feed a family of four for three days. Full-size portions are just ridiculous. Martinis are nice and strong, service is friendly and efficient, meatballs are gigantic and delicious. You really can’t go wrong.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! My husband and I both have our favorite dishes but nothing is ever bad. We love to start with the fish salad or the sausage and peppers! The fish salad is amazing! Always fresh. As for pasta our favorite is the fusilli arrabiata! They also have a wonderful vodka sauce! They are very accommodating if you want to change something they are always willing to see if they can! It’s a neighborhood gem.

If you are looking for great Italian food at resonable prices you need to go to Bella Notte. A staple and one of the best in Chicago. Whether dining in or picking up Bella Notte is consistently one of the best. A small family owned beautiful, romantic restaurant where the owner(Ramon) is always there and who genuinely cares about your dining experience not like your chain want to be’s. Great food, great service at great prices. Great place to go before Bulls and Hawks games as well as date night, business meetings or just for a boys night out. Well worth it…

It’s a small, cozy intimate restaurant. We just had our holiday luncheon here. They were able to accommodate 15 of us. Most of the coworkers have been here and raved about the food. If you like fish, they have a white fish that was fabulous. Half the table ordered it. I had a chicken with peppers and mushrooms. The chicken was so flavorful and juicy. The bruschetta was delicious with the chopped tomatoes, garlic and basil. They do something with the tomatoes because it’s warm and juicy. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you order. I’ll be back.

Meh. I’ll probably give them another chance, but I was not impressed the first time. The ravioli was generous, but I’m allergic to tomatoes, and substituting alfredo sauce didn’t really come out that well. And their menu is hard to navigate for those of us with nightshade allergies. I know it’s Italian, but other Italian places have more non-tomato options. The grilled calamari was quite bad. Rubbery, badly overcooked, and not fresh – fish-stinky. I ate one bite and threw the rest in the garbage. The tiramisu was a standout. Yummy, and a generous portion. I tried Bella Notte partly because I was tired of paying for Leona’s shrinking tiramisu. On that front it was a good choice. Delivery was prompt and courteous, and they came to my unmarked door with no confusion, which is unusual.

We ordered delivery from here a few nights ago. The food was pretty great– I imagine if we had eaten in, the pasta may have been more al dente and I would happily give them five stars. We ordered a half order of fettuccine alfredo with a side of chicken, a half order of the farfalle with sausage and onions and peppers, and a whole order of the zuppa di pesce. Initially, I was a bit upset with the total of around $ 70 with delivery charge and tax… then the food came(a half hour earlier than Grubhub estimated). The half orders were easily enough for three meals each, and the full order, I kid you not, arrived in a quarter sheet pan filed to the brim with fresh seafood and(albeit slightly overcooked) pasta. Considering this was delivery, as I said, I expect their dine-in meals to be even better. Definitely our new go-to Italian delivery spot.

Nice food but terrible spot for a pre-marathon dinner. We were seated a half hour late. Food took an hr to come out. Very nerve wracking service.
