Beverly Calub

I just had my last visit to Northwestern Internists and Dr. Calub. I made an appointment earlier in the week for a cholesterol test and to see my doctor to get prescribed a medicine recommended for an upcoming trip.
When I arrived at the office there was the usual confusion in the front office area that I have become used to, but overlooked in the past due to the quality of the physicians including Dr. Calub.
However today they could not find my appointment and told me I would need to reschedule. I explained my disassisfaction with that option and also shared that I would be out of town the following week. However they continued to only offer me appointments for the following week.
I had to ask to speak to a manager to see if one of the other Doctors that I have seen before could assist. The Manager told me all other doctors were full and could not assist and again offered me an appointment for the following week.
The combination of the front office team always being disorganized and now flat out rude and unwilling to assist one of their patients has left me with no alternative but to seek a new practice.
Think twice about visiting this practice!

Ive gone to her a few times, and I cant say a bad thing about her. I came in for my first migraine headahce and she was very thorough and did a bunch of tests to make sure I was okay. She gave me some samples of medications that really worked and I didnt have to pay for them. I never have a problem getting an appointment and I totally trust her.

Dr. Calub is very skilled, patient and intelligent. Like all doctors, she is very busy, but I never feel unusually rushed. I don’t know what the other person is talking about; I never have trouble getting an appointment. In addition, the office through which she works is the most efficient I’ve ever visited. I’ve never waited more than ten minutes for an appointment, and they are usually ready to see me at my scheduled time. Her referrals have always been good as well.

Dr Calub is great, I’ve been going to her for the past 4 or 5 years and she’s proven to be a very dependable and knowledgeable internist. I’ve recommended her to a few of my friends in the past, and feel that she is truly interested in your well-​being. The only downside is that the office, Northwestern Internists, tends to be very popular so it’s hard to get an appointment sometimes.

After 5 years with Dr Calub I’ve decided to move on to another internist. She’s very nice and knowledgeable, but I haven’t been as impressed with her during my recent visits. She always seems rushed and her rude nurses were enough reason to switch doctors. However, I thank Dr Calub for her care over the past 5 years and I especially thanks her for all her referrals of specialists as well (I’ve found some really great doctors because of her).
