This club is horrible for private events. Expensive drinks to begin, but worse than that is the power trips that the bouncers are on. I was at an event when my girlfriend went outside to grab a friend who was new to Chicago. I didn’t see her, and asked the bouncer if I could peek – truly just poke my head out the door to get a view of the entrance. He said no, so i decided to step out to give her a call to see if she had found her friend. I’m waiting in the foyer about to call when he says«you gotta get outta here.» Take in mind, at this point there are literally zero people waiting to get in behind me. And outside its 10 degrees and snowing sideways. So I said«can I make a quick call?» He said«Nope-get the fuck out.» This came out of nowhere, and it seemed like he might have been a little drunk. I didn’t want to push him, so I asked if I could order an über inside. He again said no. I asked why not, and then said that I would put oh my coat and leave. He said«put on your coat outside,» to which I asked why. At that point he walks over to me, bumps his chest into me and pushes me out the door. I had not had anything to drink this evening, and I know when I might have pushed the wrong buttons. But this was not such a time. I only write this last part because I hope an owner reads this – the bouncer was a 6 foot, bald, African American man who was a little husky. Completely unprofessional. I will not be returning.

Given the rating that this place has, it’s obvious why we had a horrible experience before even walking in the door. Our taxi driver stopped in front to confirm the address and an incredibly disrespectful bouncer yelled at him to move the car because he had an «artist» coming in. Sir, I am sure the place has to pay both the«artist» as well your salary — so it is at a minimum bad business for you to turn away patrons and threaten not to let them in if the taxi didn’t move. I, unlike you, have enough sense to know that if YOU are at this place, this is not the place I ever want to be. GOELSEWHERE. ONESTARHASBEENWASTEDONYOU.

Omg !!! Beware. If you want get yelled at by the bouncers and treated like 3 year old, then this is your place. If you want to be treated with respect with the workers there, stay away.

This place is what I expect it to be. a good time depending on who you are with and what’s going on there. I usually go when certain promoters are there(Tuesdays for the 90s is my fav!). The place is not that big and will totally hit capacity. The drinks are kind of pricey. so again depends on how I’m feeling. Tons of other things to do around the city, so not always my first choice or my last choice. It’s also a big focus on tables/sections so you kind of get in where you fit in if you aren’t doing table service.

Another bollywood night — music could have been better but drinks were pretty good. I really like the décor inside it’s pretty good. I just it was a little bigger. It is also renamed as Lite now.

Is now called Lite and is still an overpriced club with subpar bartenders. Door staff has nasty attitudes and they don’t honor their promotions. More staff outside than there are patrons inside some nights.

Ladies, wear heels or you will not be allowed in. The venue was small and sweaty. Will not repeat this unfortunate experience unless forced.

Despite some bad reviews I decided to check it out myself on Tuesday. It was nostalgic 90’s night. DJ Sean Magnificent ripped it. Staff was nice from the bouncers to the washroom attendant. Drink prices was on point. Ladies free before midnight on Tuesdays. I was told Fridays & Saturdays was good. We will see.

This was my first time coming here and it was great! Came for a birthday party. Great music, decent crowd, no fights, fun people. Will definitely be back. Staff was great as well.

This was our group’s third stop for the night. Bar hopping ftw!!! I remember it being very very foggy, but the music was awesome and I had a great time dancing the night away!

Do not visit this club!!! This place puts fraud charges on your credit card. I was ripped off for $ 457.63 when my actual charge was just $ 22.00. And this is not the first time fraud charges were posted on credit cards. A few months ago, a few friends in our party had the exact same thing happen to them. I guess we should have learnt our lesson and not gone back there, but ended up going for a birthday celebration.

This place is HORRIBLE! Inconsistent dress codes and RUDE bouncers! How are you gonna let people in with boots, but not with nice fashionable flats!!! The music was terrible too. That was the FIRST and LAST time I go to Bevy.

I should have read all of the reviews before attending last night because that way I would have known to warn my friends that women are NOT allowed to wear flats. But why should I have specifically read the Unilocal reviews? Because there is NO website listing the dress code! There is no website period. There are comments from the«Owner» of this page apologizing for others who have made similar complaints and alleges this is from the old Bevy management. Obviously that was a lie because the policy is still in place as of last night at 2AM. My friend had to swap shoes with someone who was already inside to get in. So I have one friend who is shoe-less in the club. I have the other friend standing outside wearing shoes she can barely fit so she can get inside. As soon as she got in, she switched to her gold flats and gave back the boots. Does that make sense? There is a stricter dress code to get in the line than inside the club! I had another friend who couldn’t fit the shoes and was so dissatisfied that she just left. Utterly ridiculous. Not coming back for sure.

Wack. Everything about Bevy is pretty much horrible. The only saving grace(hence the 2 stars instead of 1) is the music is generally pretty good and from an eye candy perspective, its filled with women. But besides that its overrated. Very unprofessional. If you happen to get a flyer or text regarding Bevy, you may as well just ignore it. More than likely its coming from a promoter who is just trying to get you there just so you can either be turned away or charged. They don’t honor any of the things they promote like free entry, hosted bar, etc. Went there for a Hennessy Black event that you had to RSVP for and even received confirmation. When I arrived the bouncer held the line for no reason and then told us its a $ 10 dollar cover or we could buy a bottle. We told them we were there for the private event and he responded that’s separate from the club and the cover charge for guys is $ 10 dollars. Luckily we bumped into someone who convinced him to let us in just to walk in to an EMPTYCLUB. It was like 10 ppl there and really no reason to hassle for cover or even hold the line. The whole night they continuously asked us not to sit at the couches as they were reserved for bottle service. Keep in mind the club is still empty. So its basically 10 – 11 ppl just standing around with 10 empty couches with reserved markers. After 30 mins, we just left.

Looking forward to having a party here on 5÷11÷2014(Mother’s Day); however, that feeling was altered by lack of customer service rendered by Bevy’s general manager Jess. First, I was told my name was not on the list, no fault of Jess. Jess became a problem when she failed to attempt to accommodate myself and guest after being misinformed by a promoter at Bevy in regards to bottle service. Second, ladies were suppose to be free prior to 12. That was not honored, as we were charged $ 10 to get in. Third, the place was desolate at the time and bottle service was not prevalent. From a business prospective, seems to me bottle service should have been given away because majority of the sections were unoccupied. It makes more since to make some money than none simply because you’d rather overcharge someone for bottle service. I was quoted at 285 per bottle of Ciroc, I requested two. Although, I was not informed by Ralph(promoter at Bevy) about taxes and gratuity I expected a fee would be added. What I did not expect is for tax and gratuity to be $ 230 bringing my total to $ 800. After an hour of no accommodation, I was approached by another promoter at Bevy who tried his best to reason with me. He was very professional and exuded excellent customer service skills. He offered me 2 bottles of grey goose for $ 490. I accepted because I had my guest with and they were expecting to have bottle service. This arrangement was short lived because Jess resurfaced micro managing saying that I could only get flavored grey goose. I declined because I don’t drink grey goose. I only agreed to it in order to accommodate my guest. To be told I could only purchase flavored grey goose was even more of an issue. I was treated and talked to by Jess as if I were a peasant and my money was not good enough. I WOULDNEVERRECOMMENDBEVYTOANYONENORWILLTHE15PEOPLE I INVITED. ACCREDITJESSFORTHEDEMISEOFBEVY.

I was only here for about 30 minute before the closed so I didn’t get to fully experience the place but this is what I thought of during those 30 minutes. –The music wasn’t bad, but they used the same beat for very long time and I was getting sick of it –the place is very spacious, big dance floor –good for groups, they have couches and tables for groups –cool laser lights, so take molly before you go(for those of you who enjoys that kind of stuff)

1. Go here if you are looking to flock with birds 2. The bouncers are unkept and look disheveled 3. They will deny entry to a woman wearing flats including boots. A lady was denied entry after explaining a medical reason for the flats and they denied entry. 4. When u see too many cops posted out in front of this hood spot then you already know.

Cool spot as it’s your typical nightclub whereas Chicago’s alleged finest(and their touristy friends) come out and shake their ass. Nice looking crowd and cool bar staff. The DJ was playing great music which is always important when it comes to a club. The table scheme is kind of random as its not setup like other clubs. VIP isnt sectioned off like in most spots, so it would be easy to land in someone’s private«we’re cooler than you» party. I like this place, but I have more than outgrown Chicago’s club scene years ago. Cool for those of you who want to do the damn thing

Couple pieces of advice:(1) don’t show up before midnight, unless you want to see skeezy dancers getting ready in their underwear in the bathroom(and maybe you do!) or listen to sub-par techno music(2) don’t go to the open bar if you’re a fanatical tequila drinker(like myself) because«[they] only do vodka». Other than that, music is good after midnight, drinks are standardly overpriced, and the crowd is decent but nothing to write home about.
