This place has been my home for the last two an a half years, the classes are amazing, the staff is the best. They truly care about how they teach there classes and no two classes are the same very mixed up! Love that this place is coed you don’t have to worry about it just being guys or girls. It’s equal on both sides. This place has helped me reach my goal of losing 100lbs! I would recommend this place to any one trying to get in shape or if someone needs a switch up in there fitness routine this is the place to be. This boxing gym is also great for kids! My cousins have been here, they are hard on them but it’s about tough love and it teaches them discipline and keeps these kids off the streets. I can’t wait to see what this boxing gym does in its future! Rick Ramos has done an amazing job and I know it’s only the beginning! Very proud to be apart of the body shot boxing family!

Since I relocated from Miami this is one place I yet to return. I wish the distance would be much closer to where I reside. I must say parking is a cinch and the coaches there are truly motivational. They pump each other up therefore hyphening the students to push that extra adrenaline. Definitely worth it always 600 plus calorie burn.

Been coming here for the last 2 years with the Booth Boxing Club. This is a top class gym, with serious boxers, trainers who really make you work, and great equipment. Rick, Kenji and the crew run a great club, probably the best in Chicago.

The location is nice but that’s about it. I took the boxing 101 class for a month which was all conditioning. Its not bad if you want to lose weight but I was looking for a place that would teach me the fundamentals of boxing. Even when sitting around and checking out the boxing 102 class, which is the more advanced class, it was mostly cardio. The trainers were nice to me but every time I took someone for a free class they never went back because they said the staff was rude and stuck up.

I came for a complimentary class on a Sunday with 3 friends. I haven’t really gotten back to working out on a regular basis in years… since before having my last child which was10 years ago. We all thought we got a great workout and left there a little sore and sweaty! No pain, no gain. The class was fun and organized. The workout routines and exercises are timed with a 30 second break in between. Since it was our first class, the instructor took a little extra time on us teaching us some basic punches. He made sure we were doing it right and had others help us. We also jumped rope, did push ups, abdominals, worked on the tire, etc. We met the owner and he suggested we come back for another free session in order to try out a different trainer if we were looking for a tougher workout. We did that today and it was definitely tougher. She added some different routines involving the boxing ring and medicine balls, and a type of obstacle course. I will be signing up for the boxing 101 class and hope to continue to enjoy the workouts. They have a parking lot with free parking and the facilities are clean and didn’t stink. I, however, do stink from this workout just now, so I’m off to shower.

I have been to every gym in the city and this is by far the best one. I get a full body workout. It is a group class but you will never get lost in the back. There are several people to help work with form, technique, and give suggestions. The groups are small so I feel like I am getting individual attention. I sweat within 15 minutes. I like that they push you harder. This is the only class that I have been to that actually challenges me. The workouts are never boring or repetitive. Awesome!

great place, great people, and the trainers are very knowledgeable, i started off in the boxing 101 class, which is mostly conditioning, because if you want to be a fighter you need to be in fighting shape and understand the fundamentals… the atmosphere is very family friendly.,.ive been going here since the last week in march and have lost 16 pounds and i’m now in the 202 class which is more pad work and even sparring, i have to personally thank rick, bravo, and lefty for helping me chase my dream of being an amateur/professional fighter annd making me feel part of the body shot boxing family

i was really impressed just walking into the space… a clean, sunny loft space with several bags of different kinds, big tires, a boxing ring, and treadmills. the boxing 101 class runs you through several stations that can include a bootcamp-style workout, treadmill, bag work, and pad work with the instructor. some saturdays they have professional boxers as guest instructors, which is pretty cool. everyone seems really nice, and you feel pretty bad-ass flipping over giant tires across the room. the instructors really push you to always work harder and when time allows, tell you how to improve your form. after class, you can stick around and practice on the bags or work out some more if you’d like, the gym is open to you. assuming you don’t go home and eat a whole deep dish pizza(which, clearly, i didn’t…don’t see my recent review for giordanos), you will absolutely get in awesome shape. and to come back to the cleanliness, the classes end with an ab workout on mats, and they pass out lysol wipes so that everyone cleans their own. good to know you’re not lying on someone else’s sweat pile. the only downside is that there is only one bathroom, but the soap smells really nice so i’ll let it slide. =) they also have a free parking lot and convenient location near chinatown/pilsen that’s right off of the highway. their prices are reasonable. if you’re looking for a new boxing gym, i highly recommend to check out this place.
